    I bet the people thinking they are poor while the boss is rich also have a $600/month car payment and spend $200 every weekend at the bars/clubs. I threw that in a coworkers face HARD once when he tried to $hit on me for talking about how I had no problems paying my bills and didn't come up short each month like he did.

      @niltomega2978 Před 9 měsíci +7

      Yep. I would say insane car payments are the number one culprit

    Respect is earned, so it is challenging because you can't force other people to respect you to the degree you desire. However, you can set boundaries that determine what is and is not acceptable.

      I agreed with @dotpenji!

      I completely agree with the sentiment expressed here. Additionaly, this approach not only helps maintain self-respect but also fosters healthier relationships and interactions with others.

      Well said! Respect is something earned through actions and behavior. While we can't control others' level of respect, setting clear boundaries defines the standards for acceptable treatment. It's a balance between asserting oneself and cultivating healthy relationships.

      That's true! Those people should not be on your table, friend who are not happy with your success are really not your friends.

    • @DenverOrtiz
      @DenverOrtiz Před 11 měsíci

      Certainly @dotpenji, respect is something that is typically earned through actions and behaviors over time, rather than being forced upon others.

    This is a very important video for any young entrepreneurs. I'm 27 and own my own business and this is a question I've been struggling with. I love talking about money, but I have had the same concerns the caller had. Thanks for the input Dave.

    Send them all to Financial Peace University if they want to go. If they learn how to manage their money well, they won't be as difficult.

    As long as Dave lays his people well enough to take three week vacations and they aren’t fired for it that’s cool. No one cares It can be spread out. I like this callers heart. Hope he pays his people well and share ideas on how to grow financially and hope the wise ones in his team listen. Some won’t

    Why have all these titles been wrong lately? Still a great clip but I am curious what's been going on with these incorrect titles?

    • @gafee2001
      @gafee2001 Před 11 měsíci +1

      It's clickbaiting. Not many people click on titles that aren't overly dramatized nowadays. CZcams is basically TV with millions of channels, and "if it bleeds, it leads". Drama is everything in the competitive market.

    I believe the conversation was very skewed. He is not a business owner, although he says he feels like it. He is just a corporate manager (a plant manager, in an isolated area) and manages 7 "blue color" or technicians. I wouldn't advise going into money discussion... They are not your friends, they are your direct reports. 5 years from now, you will be in another plant or in corporate, growing your career, they will stay in this plant, this job, most probably... (I am myself a corporate employee in management position)

    Are they openly making comments?

    I don’t even to listen to the call. They don’t resent you for being “wealthy” they resent you for being stingy while they struggle to feed their children. Give them a bigger slice of the pie and if you’re truly wealthy like you say, then why would this be a problem for you?

    Entitled employees never appreciate the vision, the strategy, the capital investment, and the risk that it took to establish and build the business that employs them. And they are rarely open to being mentored.

      Sucks for them, I would love to have a mentor. Never really had a good one that was available for long. Spent the first decade of my career trying to figure things out mostly on my own.

    Being Jewish means attaining the sensation of two contrasting forces in nature, the egoistic force, which is our human nature, and its opposite altruistic force, which is the force of nature itself.
    The attainment of these two forces define the people who, first under Abraham, developed this sensation of reality. They became known as the people of Israel, and later, as the Jews.
    At a certain point, around 2.000 years ago, we lost the sensation of the two forces and lived solely in the egoistic force. That is the meaning of being in exile.
    Exile has no geographic connotations, i.e. that we left some geographic Land of Israel and now we return to it. It is rather a matter of an inner exile, that we do not host the sensation of the altruistic nature, i.e. the quality of love, bestowal and connection, between us. When we fell from this sensation, we then entered our period of exile and ceased to exist as the people of Israel.

    Savings is one thing but the guys that turn the wrench should absolutely have a higher salary than the guys that sip coffee at their desk and look at the same spreadsheet all day. They're right to be pissed off.

    I would have a lot more respect for this guy if he told his leader that hey everybody on the team deserves a raise for working hard or he could take a pay cut for 1 year out of the salary and then hand off some money and bonuses to the team and I think they would respect him a lot more and that would definitely show his character
