Hey Mint-Hunter! I saw how you were asking about the coverless comics, like it was as if someone cut or ripped the covers off.
I learned why that is.. Last summer one of my buddies dad cleaned out his garage and we went through his collection, had the classic bronze age stuff Hulk 181 and Xmen giant 1.
Then he had stacks of coverless books. Ranging from ASM, Invincible Iron man, and Black Panther. Then some war books and Kazar. He told me small grocery chains back in the day (1970’s) would take their comics that did not sell, rip the covers off, and then put them in a pack of 3-4 for cheap sell at the checkout lines. He said it was used for smaller ma pa shops who wanted to get something out of unsold inventory. Some were key books too from big titles!
Anyways, very well could be the coverless ones you keep finding. Enjoy the videos and thank you for the great content!
I just got a Batman 189 3.5 CGC yesterday. Great haul I need Batman 171 and 232 for the PC as well.

I got a 7.0 of Batman 232 and I love it. But I also got a 8.5 Detective Comics 405 signed by Neal Adams which is my favorite!
First silver age riddler and first poison Ivy are the best covers.

My guess is you paid $1500. I would have probably paid more but I’d be buying them all for my personal collection. I’m not a dealer so I usually end up overpaying. Great video! Great books!
That SA Catwoman/Lois Lane book's cover is very similar to a SA book I have so I always confuse it, and wonder if I have it. It makes me think of the first appearance of Gwen Stacy cover, and the snd appearance of Punisher. I always felt they looked similar. I could be way off,but could that be a idea for a video? Covers that look very similar, that at quick glance you could mistake it for another?

These are huge books and you wont tell us what you paid but you also don’t seem super ecstatic about finding these. If i found even one of these at a garage sale or something id do a back flip. This video was an enigma to me

Marvel's early Bronze Age square-bound monster reprint books like the first few issues of Fear are very hard to find these days.
Mike Ploog did some really nice work on a number of Frankenstein issues.
Your Silver Age comics are particularly impressive.
Always enjoy your videos, and a great haul once again. That Detective year 2 I believe is an Alan Davis cover not McFarlane though.

Would you consider selling that Four Color book without cleaning and pressing it? I mentioned that I collect the four color series and that one is not a book in my library yet. You're right Four Color is not easy to find in the really early numbers I did get issues 3-7, 8, 11 and 12

I happen to have a 7.0 signature series, never cleaned or pressed. Not sure if people like it since the signature is on the title page. How would you go about doing a clean and press on this with keeping the yellow label?

You let us know more and more that you “can’t disclose what I paid for these”…..why🤔?
Maybe got them for super cheap and doesent want seller to see video and comments saying he got ripped off or feel like he did
If I was James and was going to throw these same comic books up on one of my claim sales, I wouldn't want my buyers to know what I paid for them either.

@yooo bestcollectorever sadly all sellers seem to end up going to the darkside eventually. Their going to end up killing the market. Then, I wonder why it happened. I've already went back to my roots and will only buy from dollar (or less if I could ever find them) boxes.
