Burt's Bees makes a really good lip balm with peppermint oil in it. I don't wear lip gloss personally... I don't like the feeling of it on my lips. Bees wax is also very good and healing for your lips. I split my lip very badly once and used an antibacterial ointment on it to prevent infection.... I had an alergic reaction, a bad one. My lips swelled and broke out. There was nothing the doctor could do he said. I had this bees wax lip balm I used normally under my lipstick and just used that because it helped with the irritation... I got better a lot quicker than I would have. The split in my lip even healed with no scar....it was split pretty badly.
You know what DOCTOR. I tried this and spilled the whole friggen bottle of peppermint extract in my kitchen and now my whole apartment smells like 8000 candy canes and I can't stand it anymore!!!!

They do look plumper for a minute but also red & angry. I'm not allergic, I put it in my coffee most mornings. I tried all the diy plumpers as a teen, none are worth it. Try it ya wanna I guess.
My grandson got hold of my cinnamon oil when he was about a year old. His face and hands were burned which was why I had my oils put away! Kids! We washed him up; the burns healed in a day.

He is healthy now, BUT he nurses on my upper lip every night to lull himself to sleep. This has plumped my almost non-existent lip to the point where it looks like I had lip filler injected. :)

It only burns for a sec....so does the peppermint tho...then it just makes a tingly numbing sensation. And I think the Cinnamon works better!!
