Honestly, I'd count the plastic back as a plus: - cheaper, I'd rather they spend money somewhere else - lighter - less fragile - last I checked 75% of users had their phones in a case so back material doesn't matter at all To me it seems not only a very wise compromise, but a smart net gain.
I actually prefer a plastic build as it handles drops much better and more durable and also light. My old Xiaomi mi4i was an all plastic build and I loved it for that. It was very light and easy to hold, and honestly the screen on that phone is still one of the best I have seen.
@@malidan1196 My last two phones have been Xiaomis. NEVER AGAIN!. Their UI is shockingly bad. Switched to a Samsung. Samsung UI is years ahead of them.
For games that have 90fps support, play Vainglory, C-Ops, Standoff 2. These games have up to 120Fps support. I hope you test these games for high refresh rate devices in the future. The games also have an FPS counter to know if you're getting up to the high RR. Thank you. Great video as always.
As I'm picking another tiny sliver of glass out of my hand from the shattered back of my P20Pro, I'm going to count plastic as a plus. I'm quite done with gorilla glass. Great review though, I wonder how soon Realme will be updating that camera software. Also good to see that TechTablets Tuxedo cat is doing well.
Seen a couple vids on this phone, but none as comprehensive as this one- not surprised really, though;) This is definitely one of the more exciting phones to come out this year, especially at the price. A bit of a let down in the camera dept, but still a phone I would consider if I were in the market for a good cheap phone. Thanks for reviewing this one! Take care
I hope this is a wake-up call do Redmi and Xiaomi. If they release the Redmi Note 10 with NFC and 90hz display, they win by the build quality and better camera software. They just need to figure out how to make it at 200 dollars price range.
Yes great spec for the price. But the cameras are worse than the note 9s and battery so Xiaomi wins there still. But the Realme 6 is well optimised and so smooth. MIUi is way more laggy

Been enjoying this device from you. Took a lot of photos and they've been very impressive for the cost of this phone. Low light is as you'd expect is where it's not brilliant, lots of grain but can't complain. Device is fast and all round very good for the money.

Minimal. I'm pretty sure, looking at the physical hardware and layout, that this device is based on the same chassis as the Umidigi F2 from Droi (ODM). If so, it will have the same mic as the F2, which is a "near-field" type. This means sounds closest to the device (like your voice) are loudest, while sounds further away are naturally quieter or inaudible. This can give better quality than having two mics with phase/delay cancellation, because with only one mic you have no processing lag or artifacts.
Absolutely fantastic value, I just wish realme would dial back a little on their camera oversharpening processing, I've noticed this in a few of their latest devices.
This phone is awesome specially the smooth experience that you talked about it. but i didn’t like the speaker maybe it’s not bad but there’s much better out there like mi9t. Great review as always 👌

The screen protector is more noticeable than the punch-hole when you look at it off-angle. However what is striking to me is the similarity to the Umidigi F2. The punch-hole camera size and lens looks identical to the F2, the screen is the same size, bezels and overall chassis also looks identical from the front.
