That's not true, I had 7/16" in 3 months, because I have elastic tissue in my ears. I took them out over a decade ago, and they sealed up within a month, and now you can't tell I even had earrings. If anything it looks like I had small studs in maybe at one point. So that doesn't apply to everyone.
I actually was able to get my ears to heal down to a smaller size by gently over stretching the ear(not even enough to bleed, just until it starts to feel that burning feeling) and immediately taking the gauge out because it refreshed the wound

Just a reminder for those who do not know: Ears are stretched by using tapers not the jewellery itself! You can only do it sfter months from the previous stretch happened and even then if your body doesnt allow it it is not time! Do it right after a hot shower when the skin is the softest and most strechy and do no tag on them but wash them gently with soapy water and pat with a towel

I found once mine got to a certain size the taping method is best.
I used straight up silicone tunnels to the next size a lot of the time and I had no issues ever. Iâm at 1 1/4 now đ
