All the hedgehog praise is warranted, but the actual key is the skunk decimating the opposing team's top units, making them susceptible to death by hedgehog barrage.
And if he put tiger behind bat, 4 enemies are weak and getting fucked by the hedge hog
I feel like hedgehog pufferfish is a mid game superstar and the only way for it to become amazing in the late game is through monkey buffing the front hedghog to 50/50 or like you said a level 3 skunk. More than often I end up selling the pufferfish in the late game for scaling.

This game is pretty great. It’s beautifully balanced
If I'm honest, I'm just glad he got here. There was a tiny throughline in the videos about a month back where he was convinced he could make something of the hedgehog, but he just didn't know what. And now here we are. This series somehow has a plot, it has structure, it has callback. SAP the novel is writing itself.

Idea: scale a level 2 or 3 badger to and put a gorilla behind it that has taken damage due to something like hedgehog pill so it absorbs all of the damage with coconut armor but can oneshot things even with melon armor

You will lose to deer builds.
Those hedgehogs do nothing by themselves late game, the skunk is the key there.
Level 3 skunk just enables that build to shred entire squads
Something else that works similarly well is a tanky level 2 elephant with 2 blowfish behind it + skunk and parrot/tiger
Just goes to show how strong the skunk is. People still underrate it hard imo
tf you mean? hedgehogs decimate in the late game. if you have two level 3 hedgehogs (or level 2) with one ups, you basically kill the setup animals like turkey or rooster.
obviously skunks play a big part of opening the door to murdering tank animals, but you can't say that hedgehogs do nothing. they definitely do a lot
@@RubyYTer they do nothing late game... I said it... They literally hit under 10... Late game you could see multiple 50/50 only way they work at all is because skunk is there... Skunk literally gave all the kills if you look at the start of the rounds.. why were they so weak??? The skunk literally decimated all their hp, their tank units had 1 HP In some cases which makes the hedgehog shin...

@@ILoveBluePeople Late game is when you start losing 3 hearts. Hedgehogs don't do much when it's late, late game, unless you have a skunk, but they definitely carry you until then!

EDIT: I did the math, those two hedgehogs dealt 16 damage to all units simply by dying. That's a maximum total of 160 damage points being absolutely burned by hedgehog dominance. Incredible work

Nah, your math is wrong. You're counting the hedgehogs as taking damage, but if they're dead (in order to deal the damage) then they can't take damage. It's 136

I was honestly very anti hedgehog and blowfish until i watched your videos. Tried the combo first time last night and got 9 wins with sheep, blowfish, hedgehog, hedgehog, microbe. Pretty much a double team wipe method like your first game. You definitely stumbled upon one solid method with blowfish and hedgehog x2.
Very entertaining videos and the time flies watching them.
It's not blowfish hedgehog as much as it's the skunk/bat hedgehog
@@durgons749 well seeing as you can use skunk/bat/microbe interchangeably, depending on needs and get similar results. Whereas the blowfish and hedgehogs are more unique in their role. So personally, I'd say blowfish/ hedgehog combo is the focal point as they're not as interchangeable with others to achieve same effect. Also hedgehog is the focal point in title lol.

I normally watch these at 1.5x speed, but the hedgehog builds are so pog and so chaotic that I have to drop it to 1x speed to understand them

NL is really underselling how critical the double Skunk was to that build. Blowfish and Hedgehog were trivial by comparison. Without double Skunk, any team with 2x 40hp units would've sank his whole team
Not gonna lie, I'm at a pretty good point in my life right now, yet NL's SAP content still is always the highlight of my day. Just goes to show how much I absolutely enjoy these videos. Thanks a lot for that.

Just nailed another 10 win with crab tiger parrot snake hippo, hippo lv 2 garlic 47/50, crab 6/50 meat. Used double monkey to buff hippo. Gotta say I only seem to win when watching your videos, so thank you

I was running hedgehog builds (mostly hedgehog+blowfish+rabbit and maybe camel) for fun yst before this video came out and it was a ton of fun.
I got 10 f2p wins with this build. Steak skunk in front, then mushroom scorp, 2 lv2 mushroom hedgehogs, then a lv3 garlic blowfish
