Two things I've started doing almost daily is a 300 piece jigsaw puzzle and reading 40 pages in any kind of book. Just need to read.

Resting is so important for me. I love that you start your day with God. I strive to do that, but sometimes it's later in the day. It's the best way to start the day. Great tips! Love to all, Linda 💕

Hi Dawn. I've been able to lose over 40 pounds by watching what i eat and to fast as well.....So there you go. I'm so happy that I've been able to lose this weight off of me. And I think I lost even more bc my chin isn't double anymore......😊😊😊

I start listing all of the things for which I am grateful... Despite painful disabilities I have the ability to walk ,see clearly, swallow food and hear well. Those are all things that many people I know can no longer do. I have great health...enough money to exist in my" not paid for but affordable home". I have enough intelligence to creatively solve problems..not all of my highschool friends had that!
Hi, Micah here (Formerly "I Made A Finance Channel") Thank You so much for making this video. Health is extremely important getting sick or injured can be very expensive especially with out insurance. We only get one body and should treat it with respect, eat health, drink lots of water and exercise. It does not matter how successful we are or how much money we make if we are not around to enjoy it or are unable to do too limitations we put on ourselves with unhealthy behavior. I'm curious who else in the chat feels the way I do on this topic? Please reply!
I do, I made those same mistakes you discuss in your comment...I paid dearly for it and still even today, I'm reminded of it daily. Thanks for your comment, at least I know I'm not alone in feeling this way.
I’m up around the same time every morning. 7 am. My doggos wake me up. I use the bathroom, then I let the dogs out, start a pot of coffee, let the dogs back in and feed them. While they eat I just walk around my kitchen /living room area to get my morning limbering (I’m 58). After that, my day has a myriad of different things I need to do and want to do. Gardening this time of year.
I invested in a walking pad. It’s small and portable. I can roll it under a bed when not in use. This purchase has aloud me to incorporate so much movement into my life! I can walk when I talk on the phone. When I watch tv. When I watch CZcams. Or anytime I have a few minutes in my day I can hop on there and walk. It only cost around $150, which is considerable cheaper than a traditional treadmill, but I also don’t have to have a huge treadmill sitting in my home that I can’t move if I want to. I also make it a point to walk outdoors too. I think being out amongst nature and natural sunlight is critical for our wellbeing.
I work 4 hours tutoring elementary kids. I am tired when I get home.I rest 1 hour or so. I read or watch a taped tv show. Sometimes I catch a 10 or 15 cat nap.
Then I am ready to get errands done or start chores. Resting is not being lazy, it is letting your body get energy back.
Sounds smart
I get up at 5 am, let the puppy out, go back to bed until 7am. Then its feeding, potty, play, training and socialization time and I still work out 3xper week. July, I take the little fella to puppy training class to train him better and socialize him with other pups and people. My day is full.

all that exercise adds up at the end of the week, quiet time is vital to our well being, a morning routine is so important to me, sets up my day the right way. stepping away from our devices another great hint, enjoy the walking path, be careful with the weights, start slowly and we should allow ourselves to stop, rest and refresh, we demand so much of ourselves. I enjoy your posts tremendously, thank you

Morning and evening Bible reading is awesome. I go through the NT in the evening and OT in the morning. I don't care how much or little I get read, I use 2 post-it tabs to mark my places and just go at a pace that makes sense for that particular day. I'm also trying to be a better housekeeper - watching lots of "how to clean the...." videos and learning lots of stuff my momma never showed me! Lastly, I'm downsizing my possessions by assigning one room to each day of the week and telling myself "something has to go" from that room on that day. It has become a fun game, and it is very effective at getting the clutter gone.
I was raised in and, at 19, married into a family that shamed me for resting or relaxing. Thank you for the reminder we all need rest sometimes.

I’ve started drinking at least 2 liters of water per day. I like the part about rest , when I’m just sitting at home watching tv or looking at Pinterest on the weekend I feel guilty for not getting up and doing something but I have to remember it’s ok to take a break when needed, your body will let you know when it’s tired. I started doing a 5 mins stretch most mornings back in January and it has helped with getting my mind ready for work. I love a good walking workout, have a huge CZcams workout playlist, try and exercising 5-7 week for stress reduction. Good for you Dawn, taking care of yourself is important. 💕

I pray and listen to a gospel in the AM and focus on bring intentionally in God's presence in the later PM. I started Noom (not affiliated) because I need structure. My earing is gealthy, and I plan to start chair yoga really soon.💜🙏⚜️

I do a daily devotional. My friends and I use the book....My Quiet Time Daily Devotional. We then share our thoughts on the passage in a group chat. It's great to see what insight and message they received from the reading. It helps to further my perspective and it's a wonderful way to keep in contact with people who share my faith.

I don't think I have six things, but I have been trying to make sure a drink some water through the day and night, try to do different kinds of exercises for my legs, get some sleep even if I have to take some tylonel p.m. and some NyQuil etc to get some sleep. Please remember me in your prayers and I will pray for you also.

For me, the two most impactful things I do to start my day is to allow at least two hours lead time before I'm supposed to be out the door. That way I can have a morning routine thay isn't rushed. The other thing is to spend at least the first hour screen free. I have a much more pleasingly productive day (I don't aim for solid productivity, I am not a productivity focussed person). Screens drain the motivation to move my body right out of my body lol.

I really like your idea about setting a timer to remind yourself to get up every so often and walk around or do stuff you need to do (whichever). I also from time to time get up and go do something I need to do, but I think as you suggested, using a timer is a very good idea.

In the AM I do stretching exercises. I'm drinking more water. Need to exercise. In the evening I read the Bible and write down verses I really like. $40 a year for a gym is really good!

Here are the six things I started doing this year to create a better life:
1. Getting up at 6am to do 45mins of light cardio or lift weights before work.
2. Cooking more at home - prioritizing eating unprocessed foods.
3. Daily Qigong & yoga practices on my lunch break.
4. Reading books to relax after work and before bed.
5. Making chore to-do lists throughout the week to be completed on Saturdays.
6. Resting on Sundays.

I have been practicing for a while now the first hour of my day and the last hour of my day is for me. I love to wake up to the smell of coffee brewing I have a timer on my coffee pot so I always wake up to freshly brewed coffee. I to walk my fur baby in the early morning hours. I to of late during meal times no cell phones, and or iPad instead I have a CD player I. put on dinner music. I have noticed by having music during meal time I don't rush a meal I have really slowed down ( I'm already a slow eater.) and enjoy my meals. I always have a very relaxing evening during my last hour of the day. I like to end my day with a cup of tea, and journal writing, while writing in my journal I will listen to CD's for soothing music.

One thing I've done is to stop watching the news. I feel so much more positive!
I watch the news with no volume and then I turned a volume up if there is one news story that I might want to pay close attention to like maybe. road construction in my area.
I have started looking at things from a different point of view.. In a way it's like staying in my own lane but a little bit different because I have people who come to me looking for advice I know. that avoiding my advice is going to keep them in a toxic financial situation .I know that they aren't going to take my advice.Now I only direct them to other people. I have a sibling living in different state who has been making disastrous financial decisions for years. Her daughter is now a manager at a credit union. I have redirected her to the daughter ... redirecting her to people like Dave Ramsey or Susie Orman hasn't worked. The same thing is true of my neighbor.. Always asking for ideas .. I did get her a 3% interest rate on her mortgage but other than that, never following through on other smart choices and then complaining that her situation never gets better.. It is too frustrating to be involved with their numbers...I WILL talk with them about pets, gardening, the weather..lol
I have 5 lb in 8 lb hand weights in my house I do about 40 minutes of core and leg one day and core and arms another as well as walking a mile & 1/3, 6 days out of the week.... You can find beginner and older person exercises on CZcams
