    Love your teaching style! Thank you so much for uploading this. Its helping alot for studying for my PE exam. Any chance you can do an example problem with given heat capacities instead of enthalpy values? It would be greatly appreciated!

    Sir why we have taken enthalpy of product HV=0 (is always TBPin=TBPout)
    in the energy balance.
    What is the general product temp is it always equal to the temp inside the Evaporator

  • @SanjayYadav-fy4dg
    @SanjayYadav-fy4dg Před 3 lety +2

    Deepak sir, can we take atm temp.as a refrence temp, in that case we have to include product energy also but sir I am confused with vapor energy , so what wiill be vapour energy in case of atm reference temp.
    Can you write the energy balance with atm reference temp ???

    • @gatecatalyst-deepakpandey3041
      @gatecatalyst-deepakpandey3041  Před 3 lety

      While choosing reference, two things need to be considered
      Reference temperature
      Reference state
      If I choose liquid state and 25 degree as reference, then the enthalpy of liquid at 25 degrees is zero but if vapour is present at 25 degrees it's enthalpy is non zero since reference state is liquid ..
      Hope I was able to clear your confusion👍

  • @allenthomas4434
    @allenthomas4434 Před rokem

    Sir, but Tbp is higher than Tf right?
    Coz one is boiling point of solution, and other is Feed Temp.
    And where does the V.Hv term go in the mass balance?
    Though it's getting evaporated it's got some mass right?

    what if the Tbp geatrer than Tf

    • @gatecatalyst-deepakpandey3041
      @gatecatalyst-deepakpandey3041  Před 3 lety

      If Tbp is taken as reference , then still you have to write Tf - Tbp. Of course the enthalpy will be negative , but that is not going to do any harm to your calculations. Enthalpy is a relative quantity, so can be negative as well

  • @diptibanduke5755
    @diptibanduke5755 Před 4 lety

    in case of boiling point elevation , Tbp value should be changed in all equations, right? i mean in Cp(T-Tbp) also?
