I've tried telling this to a friend of mnie. What is top tier tech today like panels such as oled will be budget tech tomorrow. In fact a Chinese manufacturer named BOE is planning on making oleds that will cost more half the manufacturing costs of LG's..Soon you could see panels like such cost well under $1000 for a 65'.
I have LG nano 2019 and I only need indoor rabbit ears to get 150 broadcast channels. No sound bar needed using the setting that punches up the vocal audio. It didn't need much adjustment. I usually calibrate using broadcast TV news to capture most lifelike skin tones. At 75 inches you can see individual sweat pores and over done make-up. My Sony 55 inch is no comparison to the LG, also the RCA #122z rabbit ears require no adjustments on the LG. Epic movies like 'Titanic' are better experienced broadcast than the movie theater. I am not tempted to bother with cable or satellite subscriptions. Most people don't know broadcast quality is the best.

Awesome mate... I bought the same TV , but in Australia ours is a little different. But I'm not getting suckered into spending double on a nanocell or oled. These IPS panels are really great quality..
@@iBJanky Does everything I need and more.. I sell TVs for a living and this TV represents the best dollar for dollar ratio without getting ripped off... Nanocell is LGs money maker.. Can't sell that to a salesman
Our cheapest LG 86 inch here in Australia Costs $2500 (USD) But is a 200Hz panel and not a 120Hz... Can't believe how cheap things are in the USA. But if u work in a supermarket here u get paid $18 (USD) per hour
The 86 inch have a VA screen thats why the screen is so nice brite and very sharp, and high contrast ratio is much higher than a ips screen. Only the 65 inch have the ips screen. Greetings from a tv fan from Holland.
As I understand, normally extended warranty starts from the end of OEM’s warranty so I guess having overlapping extended may doesn’t make sense as an additional benefits!
you think this was a review? ..lol. He did not go into detail of the WebOS, He did not talk about how bad the viewing angles on this tv. How dark the colors are because of the IPS and of course is a backlighted TV meaning the only and best viewing angle is right in front. If you have sectionals or people over for a major sporting event only the ones in front will get the best colors.
Congrats, so happy for you! Over time, I went from a 24" tube TV to a Panasonic 42" 1080p plasma, to an LG 55" 3DTV, and at the beginning of 2019 made the jump to a Samsung 75" NU7100. I didn't think prices would drop any lower but they have since I got my Samsung! I very much enjoy it however for movies and games and just viewing in general. I hardly go to the movie theatres since getting the 75". I think next time at some point in the future, I'd probably go for 82" or 86" as you have. I also have a sound bar, upgrading from built in TV speakers is pretty much essential.

Hello from Oregon, I'm in the same situation with buying a TV. Awesome video, it's cool that you had your own requirements on what you want in a TV. Thank you for the review, new Sub.
Awesome. Curious about the black levels. I agree, I would rather keep the extra money in my pocket and I already have a great surround sound system to hook up to it. Looks great. I mostly watch movies and TV, gaming is for another TV...lol
The black levels look great to my untrained eyes, and I'm sure 99% of the population would agree. I mostly watch Netflix and the TV can handle 4K streaming without any issues. I'm super happy with the TV!
@@iBJanky It's hard to tell unless you have them side by side, which is the beauty of ignorance is bliss. I lived with Sony 52" LCD for 14 years, it was an amazing TV and for 14 year old TV it had amazing black levels. When I went to the store and checked $1000-$1500 level TVs, non of them had that kind of black level, and viewing angle was horrible. It wasn't plasma, just regular LCD, but somehow I was getting amazing viewing angle. I had to go up to 2500 level TV on 77" (basically get OLED) to have similar viewing angles and color. So, you have to compare side by side to tell the difference, otherwise the TV you buy will always be the best TV you have. Get what you can afford, and that's it. Sounds system is as important as the TV. You can definitely build a decent sound system for under $1k, don't be fooled by "have to spend $5k and get Atmos" I have 5.1 and it's still amazing experience with great speakers and fine tune system. I wish I could get Atmos, maybe one day later when they get cheaper.
@@iBJanky I think you should create your own niche on your contents. e.g. copper reacts to police encounter (good or bad), reacts to police movies/series, siege, arrests, GTA, etc. I’m sure you can give good advice and awareness about the law, etc, etc. There’s not that much CZcamsrs in that niche too. Good luck!
I've also been looking for the biggest bang for the buck. Best price here in Canada $2200. Will check out Costco just the warranty alone am sold. Big TV like that get yourself nice reciever and 5 or 7 speaker surround with dual subs if you go cheap on speakers. Also like you just streaming, but mostly 4K blueray can't beat the experience sound effects and picture. How the picture in dark room? Great Review.
The picture is superb to my tired eyes (I’m not a videophile). I currently have it hooked up to a Bose Soundbar & Subwoofer 700, and it sounds amazing. Overall, I’m very happy with my setup. I’m glad you liked the video. Let us know if you end up buying one for yourself. 👍🏼
On paper its not the best, but in real life without another TV right next to it, it's a lot of bang for the buck. If your limit is $1500, I would rather have a pretty good 86" tv vs a fantastic 55" tv. If the entertainment value of what you are watching doesn't pull you in on a 86" TV, then switch what you are watching and not the tv.
As of now I’m looking to replace my LG 75 Nano 90 and go with a bigger screen but I’m undecided of the size of the 86 which Costco has now for a good price and I’m not a videophile by any means… my question is how long is the distance from your sofa to the tv and the length of the wall so that I can I have an idea how it might look in my house. My setup from sofa is 11 ft to tv and my wall measures 15 ft. Your input might be appreciated!
The bottom line is, you got what you wanted. Doesn’t matter what other people think or say.

@@iBJanky so I refinished my basement. I put my 60 inch oled from my bedroom down there . And wanting my 75 in my bedroom so want bigger in my living room lol
Awesome mate...
I bought the same TV
, but in Australia ours is a little different.
But I'm not getting suckered into spending double on a nanocell or oled.
These IPS panels are really great quality..
Congrats! How do you like yours?
@@iBJanky
Does everything I need and more..
I sell TVs for a living and this TV represents the best dollar for dollar ratio without getting ripped off...
Nanocell is LGs money maker..
Can't sell that to a salesman
Our cheapest LG 86 inch here in Australia Costs $2500 (USD)
But is a 200Hz panel and not a 120Hz...
Noodles stole the show..I was watching him the whole time!! 😻
Yeah, he’s a natural. Noodles is a total ham 😸
Watching Noodles watch the new TV
@@serenitynow8689 He likes watching movies the best 😺
As I understand, normally extended warranty starts from the end of OEM’s warranty so I guess having overlapping extended may doesn’t make sense as an additional benefits!
You funny gotta love a guy with a cat named noddles 🤣🤣🤣
Haha, Noodles is a handful 🐈
Loved your review, simple and to the point. Thank you.
Thank you for the kind words. I’m glad you liked the video 😎👍🏼
you think this was a review?
@@ChRisu_Ojisan Yes I do
@@jpezy901 is not lol
Loving that American flag flying in the background. :)
God bless America! 🇺🇸
I’m sure with hard work, you’ll achieve everything you desire! Best of luck! 😎
just got the 85 inch hi sense for 999.99 on cyber Monday at Best Buy. This is still a good deal was considering getting this tv
That's a GREAT deal! Enjoy it in the very best of health!
Isn’t that TV 60hz motion rate
Just got one today, i love it. N the controller can controller the xbox series x n ps5, i should have got it sooner cuz i would've brought the remotes for them lol it looked amazing out the box, but i had to turn the brightness down.
Awesome! Enjoy it in the very best of health! 😎👍🏼
Black list, one of my favorite shows...
I’ve never seen it. I’m assuming it’s pretty good?
I thought this was a review of that tv. He must be a Costco employee
Just bought mine from a friend for $750. Hes had it 6 months or so. I couldn’t pass it up, love it though
Wow! That’s a steal! 😺
Dang man, I want to be on your vibe level.

Thanks for the kind words! I’m glad you liked my video! 😎👍🏼
Looks great!
Thank you! 🙏🏼
Great video! I think they just increased the price to 1649 after your video upload
They increased the price back to its normal price of $1850.
that's a great price. 86" tv is huge
Yes it was a great price, that’s why I jumped on it. Costco has since raised the price back to its normal price of $1850z
Great! when is the party going to be??? See you soon!!!
😅
Nice TV you got another great deal from Costco congratulation's enjoy. I own a LG 65" OLED CX 2020 model and its incredible paired with my 2019 Yamaha Yas-209 life is good.
That sounds like a great setup! 😎👍🏼

Amen! noodles!
I install TVs for a living I’ve done so many of these LG 86s I can’t count. The level it’s off and it’s driving me nuts! LOL
Thanks for pointing that out! I went ahead and fixed the level issue. Cheers!
what's your opinion on this tv?
I have the 65” of this but the 9000 series. I love it! The picture and sound quality is great! I too want a bigger one. lol
Maybe one day you can upgrade to a bigger size! I’m sure they’ll be cheaper by then too.
@@iBJanky I’m thinking about it when I get my tax return. lol

@@cesar5478 I have a friend with one. I don’t like them so I have no desire for one. They are great if you want to take it outside which I wouldn’t. I live in apt complex. I’ve actually decided to stick with my 65in for now.
Nice brother looks good
Thanks man! I’m still loving it 😎👍🏼
Hello from Oregon, I'm in the same situation with buying a TV. Awesome video, it's cool that you had your own requirements on what you want in a TV. Thank you for the review, new Sub.
I’m glad you liked the video! Thanks for the sub! 😎👍🏼
Ah, would have loved to see some light gaming on that.
I have to get my hands on a PS5 first 😅
A smart, very well organized no nonsense video!
Thank you for the kind words! I’m glad you liked the video! 😎
Did you look at the Samsung TU700D as well ? I think the Samsung one stands out better then the LG one in terms of picture processing speed.
I think Samsung and LG both make great displays. Can’t go wrong with either one. Thanks for watching! 😎👍🏼
I have a 75 inch....might be time for upgrade!
My previous TV was also a 75”. It has since been transferred into my bedroom.
I love the 86” LG!
@@HeadingForTomorrow I 100% agree. Get what you can afford, and enjoy the hell out of it! Life’s too short 😎👍🏼
I have the 82' version of this. It's just awesome!
Enjoy it in the very best of health!

Good luck!

Great review- definitely going to buy now
I was actually looking at this same offer from Costco👍
Good luck! I hope you enjoy it as much as I do! 🙂
from 19 to 85? very nice
Put a back blanket behind tv to cover wall completely.....It will appear to be HUGE!! Trust me
I'm probably going to wait till Black Friday this year, I hope it goes on sale 🙃
Sounds good. I hope you get what you want! Thanks for watching! 😎👍🏼
@@iBJanky just went down to 1399! I hope come November it comes down to 1299 and I'll get it 🤙🏻
On paper its not the best, but in real life without another TV right next to it, it's a lot of bang for the buck. If your limit is $1500, I would rather have a pretty good 86" tv vs a fantastic 55" tv. If the entertainment value of what you are watching doesn't pull you in on a 86" TV, then switch what you are watching and not the tv.
I totally agree! The sheer size alone is so immersive. It still amazes me every time I turn it on 👍🏼
If a big tv is what you like it is not a waste of money
Love you videos brother clear explanation about the huge TV looks fantastic in you house

Haha, I want to hook up a PS5 to it and play some FIFA ⚽️

I bought a 65 inch for under $500. It won’t be long before an 85 inch drops below $1000.
BestBuy already sells an 85” Hisense TV for $999 😳
As of now I’m looking to replace my LG 75 Nano 90 and go with a bigger screen but I’m undecided of the size of the 86 which Costco has now for a good price and I’m not a videophile by any means… my question is how long is the distance from your sofa to the tv and the length of the wall so that I can I have an idea how it might look in my house. My setup from sofa is 11 ft to tv and my wall measures 15 ft. Your input might be appreciated!
My sofa is approximately 14-15ft away from the TV. My wall is approximately 12ft wide x 8ft tall. I hope this helps! 😎👍🏼
@@iBJanky Thank you for the info and most likely I’ll buy the TV since I have plenty of space for the 86 inch TV. 👍
