All developed countries have made infrastructure first followed by others. It also create jobs and required to improve the productivity.
There is no fine line to decide what is right or wrong.

Sir, we need a four-lane road because it is more cost-effective and time-efficient in the long run. Given our large population, providing easy mobility is essential. We can initially build a two-lane road and reserve space for future expansion to four lanes, allowing us to accommodate increased usage as needed while saving on immediate costs.

I completely disagree with you cause if we don’t invest in our infrastructure right now if it doesn’t peak up in next 4 - 6 years we will no longer be competitive in global market for higher freight cost and we will loose our demographic advantage in next 15-20 years. As a consultant in one of the top 3 I worked with Sony and result was it is better to manufacture in USA or china than India although we have cheap labour. Because their ports, roads and railways reduce the inventory and freight cost dramatically.

Infra should be created looking at least 50 years into the future....
4 lane road is a better choice. You will not be able to reserve space for 4 lanes into future...and it will help harder to reacquire land for infra later
Don't know whether you will read my comment or not. But you forget to mention to the most important reason of government focusing on infrastructural growth is that why growth is only restricted to few cities. When their is good connectivity you can get cheap labour, cheap land from outskirts and access to market with good connectivity.

Till 5 years back Chinese growth was Infrastructure led growth and they have virtually completed building infrastructure. Off late Chinese growth is now consumer-led. Today American Infrastructure is of third world level when compared with that of China.
That's why china is totally sinked in debt
Indian roads, highways, expressways are already congested so we required more infrastructure development for atleast next 10 years

Sir with so much population density two lanes will not suffice. Infrastructure has to cater for near future requirements. With rising vehicle density four & six lanes is the present day requirement. Of course not at the expense of education & health infra.
Hundreds of times my projects got delayed only due to shortage of labour. U hv no idea how difficult it is for contractor to arrange labours mostly in last 10-12 yrs. Inspite of machinaries labour cost increased to 35%-40% mostly post covid, where as this was below 25%
I totally disagree on ur view, as I myself a infra contractor & in spite deploying machinaries, I always hv to need thousands of labour, & most of time it gets very difficult to even gather adequate quantity of labour even at higher wages than market. Plz correct ur economic knowledge
I am sure you are definitely not in Bengaluru else ye sab nahi bolte, yaha pe it takes 2hours, 3hours and sometimes 4hours to cover just 7-8kms. Kya ye time waste normal hai, aise hi rehne diya jaye? Jaha pe zarurat hai waha pe 100% 4 Lane road honi chahiye in fact 8 Lane bhi zaruri ho to banana chahiye. Haan village side jaha pe rush nahi hai population density kam hai waha banana is time pe unnecessary hoga.
2023 July Gaya tha 25 km Jane ke lia 1.30 hours phayle hi nikal ta tha , taki time pe ja saku. Fir vi late ho jata tha , ab basant ji ko kya pata asab.
In Bangalore we have so many cars, people have money in hand but there is no Infra or proper roads.
Govt has to plan the future growth and build infrastructure first, I don’t think people have to decide this as they have limited knowledge.
I agree that people should get more money to spend, but still infra is very bad in India.
Devloped state is the responsibility of the state government, the public decides the government so is the development.

Sir if China’s was an infra led growth then I won’t mind if our per capita income also rises to 12000$ following their model. Consumption would automatically follow. They have now shed the low end industries and migrated to high end ones. They are the leaders in Robotics, quantum computing etc. Though US is quite ahead in innovation and economy but we cannot be like the US as we lack ingenuity entrepreneurship and discipline.However we can do the China way in terms of infra led growth.

Sir नमस्कार, आदर सहित कहना चाहूंगा कि आपके विचार बहुत अच्छे हैं परंतु कुछ विषयों पर आपको और शोध की जरूरत है। infra की परिभाषा काफी विस्तृत है। सड़क, रेल, हवाई पट्टी, बिजली लाइन, पानी, अस्पताल, स्कूल, पुलिस थाना, ये सब infra का ही तो गहन रूप है। केवल पुल या हाईवे तक ही इंफ़्रा की परिभाषा सीमित नही है। और दूसरे पहलू से भी देखे तो सबसे पहली आधारभूत infra जरूरत है कनेक्टिविटी, जब पहुंच के लिए सुरक्षित, सुगम सड़कें ही नही होंगी तो बाकि सब बेमानी हो जाता है। आप किसी जिले में सब कुछ बनवा दो अस्पताल, स्कूल, वगैरह वगैरह और उस जिले को अन्य जिलों से जोड़ने वाली सड़कों को वही पुराने जमाने वाली ऊबड़खाबड़ धूल उड़ाती छोड़ तो क्या उंस जिले में कोई निवेश करने आएगा!

I thought over it and i think under current indian context infrastructure is necessary to stimulate industrial growth because it happens on top of solid infrastructure... Efficient logistics reduces the time and cost of distribution which helps to stimulate industrial sector growth on supply side... The issue with government giving incentives for consumption is that it would lead to inflation but yes overall gdp will grow at an accelerated rate(even double digit) as happened during UPA.. Government is anyways giving free ration, thus providing food security which is necessary... Government also has resource constraints because of a huge population to manage... Infrastructure led growth will increase cost of living and inequality but will lead more disposible disposible income for middle class, thus increase consumption anyways
