Thanks for these videos. I'm Vietnamese and know nothing about Hmong so it's nice to learn about your culture. Looking forward to seeing more of your videos.

Its strange because peb coj hmoob ntseeg Vajtswv, we were never taught these traditions. So its embarrassing when we go to weddings or family events and not know what to say or do. This is a great video to learn some of our traditions and customs.

Agreed!! I'm a Christian and was raised with limited exposure to these cultural etiquette. I had to learn them by asking questions, talking with my father, and immersing myself back into my culture. Now I'm making these videos to help those who might be feeling like I did while growing up

@@dictumdose I feel the exact same way, and i think its the same for anyone who grew up first generation.
Its sad because, as lose our language, we also lose a large part of our culture.

This was perfect!!! Wished i saw a similar video like this when i was younger. It’s the simple steps like this that a lot of us “hmoob mekas” need to know/learn.

Ohhh, so that’s why there’s so much wasted beer when it’s time to clean. Lol. My Dad has taught me about the drink/pour etiquette too. Thanks for elaborating.

Awwwe, are you born in the USA right? Old fashion ways of Hmong culture funeral service. Unless Christian ways of short everything.

I do not drink alcohol, and luckily the people I know around me know this, so I usually accept my drink and give it to someone else at parties. But these weddings are different, what would you do?

They have a hard time understanding Hmong so they will most likely not do it or have some changes to make it do-able. I don’t even encourage people to drink and honestly the drinking part should be optional and not required.

Do not be consumed by the Hmong culture. Even the Hmongs themselves, know that these old traditions are not good.
Seek the Truth, in Jesus. He is the only way to Heaven.
Hell, is a place of eternal torment, not a place where you can comfort your lost loved ones.
Trust Jesus today, you might not have tomorrow.
    Romans 10:9-10
    King James Version
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

      Self hate?
So you enjoy 3 days of people getting heavily intoxicated over one persons death? While providing a full buffet just to please the visitors?
Do you not know the historical reasonings for these traditions?
You can make a change or submit to the wicked shamanism spirit that continues to manipulate the Hmong people.

What a low class claim of Jesus here. Whatever you believe just keep it to yourself! Your dumb belief has no meaning to others’ belief. That’s why the world has hundreds and thousands of different beliefs and each one of them is equally important.

    • @londonghung3392
      @londonghung3392 Před 2 lety +1

Why do you people always quote the Bible in your discussions when you believe in Jesus? Didn't he tell you people to abandon the old ways and believe in him only? Don't go quoting old Bible beliefs that Jesus never acknowledged that it happened or will ever happen!

    • @ISAIAHTheBook

And this is why we quote the Bible. You just made a claim about what Jesus said, so I must ask, quote the Bible to support your claim.
      Thank you
