    FAQs??
-How many squares do I need for a baby blanket?
This can vary, it really can be however big or small you like, but i generally do 4x4 or 5x5.
This blog post might be useful: bit.ly/1UIobie
-How many chains shall I do for a *single/double/etc' blanket?
Again, this can vary. I would suggest that you do your chain and lay it down agains the bed you are wanting it for. It should be the same width. You should then ad a few more to make it a little wider.
This blog post might be useful: bit.ly/1UIobie
-How much yarn do I need?
Unfortunately, I will not be able to answer individuals questions about how much yarn you would used do to multiple factors affecting it. Such as, your tension, the size of hook and the yarn being used.
    -What equipment do you use?

THANK YOU!!! Anyone else here after failing the chevron cushion exercise in the DK Little Course in Crochet?? Now I see why nothing about their pattern worked / made sense. They skipped the extra stiches on the ends - but more importantly, their pattern calls for 81 chain and Vs built in multiples of 18. This works out as 4.5 Vs, rather than a solid 4 or 5. This means the idea of turning the work and repeating the row makes no sense because everything is inverted - and one side of the work grows out to the side rather than being straight. I don't know how that passed editing! Wasted two hours of my life on that before hitting CZcams. And it's so easy, when your instructor talks sense and can understand maths!

love love this! quick question, when i first begin the 2nd and 3rd rows, the piece begins to curl a bit. could my stitches be too tight? i've made one of these before, but was so excited about finding the video/pattern that i didn't pay too close attention and then i gave it to a girlfriend! :-)

I love all your tutorials. I am making a baby blanket for my very first nephew, and I was wondering if you could make a tutorial for how to make alphabet granny squares.

Great tutorial! Yours are my go to tutorials for anything crochet. I would love to make the pattern with just a straight edge and not the extra dip (extra two stitches) on the side--how should I adjust the pattern to make that possible?

amazing tutorial thanks so much! question though. say I make a chain of 200 because I want 8 points and add 5 more. should that be fine? or would I have to change a few things for it to work?

Hi! Do you think there is a way to modify this pattern to change the single crochets in it for double crochets?

Well explained. Makes it easier to figure it out on your own design if you wanted to.

I have the task of duplicating my grandmother's chevron blankets. My family wants the stiches exact. (No pressure 😮) Yours is very close but the peaks and valleys in hers are a few stitches shorter. Plus my grandmother looks as if she picked up the back loops only to also create a ridge throughout. I have my work cut out for me. She passed in 1980❤ Thanks for this tutorial.

After I figure out how large I want the afghan, how do you figure out how much yarn to purchase?
I think I would like to use a worsted weight yarn.

I've done a few projects now and have been happy with the finished results on all of them so I thought it time I tried a chevron pattern. How did you know!? ☺️

Is there a way to start this project with the foundation single crochet?
