WOW what memories came flooding back…I was 14 & living the life, saw them playing in Northumberland a club called the Viking in Seahouses .They came on a little late ,some one through a chair at the empty stage & some glasses got thrown…they came out like brave lions & entered the stage like gladiators…right off the bat they had the audience in the palm of their hand…I was a wild child & loving that summer.
This song is right up there with sunshine of your love and satisfaction. How fng cool is it that when the opening chords hit you know exactly where you were when you first heard it. Thanks Ray. Beautiful
@@gurgisjones1120 Yeah, there's at least a backing track. I kinda noticed when you can hear other voices during the song but only Ray Dorset has a mic. They at least put in some effort to look like they were doing it for real, and I wouldn't be surprised if Ray sounds like that even now. Some vocalists know how to take care of themselves and sound just as good now as they did back in the day. Either way, still a nice song to sit back and groove to.
NICE!! I still love this song. I had this record when I was 8 years old. (59) Playing it on my small record player. Happy to see them here. Thank You!! :D
This is an overdub. In headphones you can hear other sounds, like the banjo player blowing the bottle in the original recording. You aren't hearing their live performance in this video.
From my point of view that's not what Ray Dorset sounds like now that was his voice in a previous concert in the same place so what I think they did was just play the recording of that same voice track.
What did she say? 🤣🤣🤣 I saw these guys in 1985 in the Palace theatre in Plymouth. Later, an apprentice of mine married agirl who's dad was the drummer. You can't make this shit up man! The circles of life!
Somehow I don't think the keyboard was told he had to at least pretend to play the right notes. He was, but not necessarily in the right order, I'll give him that.
Have a drink have a drive...(c)👍
Bloody Hell Ray Dorset still has it…. Then I realised they were miming … you can hear the original farts into the bell jar sound from the original recording.
I'm never going to get over the fact that there is a time where the majority of audiences were cardboard cut-outs
Like Charlton Heston in the Omega Man. It's a strange world.
seems more costly to make create cardboard people than to invite (and pay) the real ones!!
same
Dunno. Oo
@@Andremedia "more costly to make create cardboard people than to invite (and pay) the real ones!!" -- Yes, but it was what Florida Governor Ron DeSantis termed recently, "The COVID theater".
no phones, no movement, no breathing... just some wholesome cutouts living in the moment
Thanks China

Ok this is like something out of an alternative reality. Jerry Mungo by a pool on a sunny day in Germany during a Pandemic.
Thanks China

Es playback.
Damn - he sounds the same - 50 years? Later?
It's the old studio track their miming too, but with a different mix, to sound different. Sorry

First looked like wolverine, now he looks like Howard Stern
Still sounds good.

First band I saw............no drummer, just foot stomps!!

the best song for road trips
Durísimo 😊😊😊😊😊
Always great!🤩
Nice and he looks great too. 👌✌💗🎥
50 years later, and he still sounds the same.
Ngl. I’m convinced this is lip syncing
@@RagingWaterBuffalo it's obviously not. You just find it hard to believe his voice is still good
@@Videomaker-pz4xm I wouldn’t say it’s obviously not. There’s singing while his lips aren’t moving
it’s probably higher quality audio they put over the video
*LEGEND*
What did she say? 🤣🤣🤣 I saw these guys in 1985 in the Palace theatre in Plymouth. Later, an apprentice of mine married agirl who's dad was the drummer. You can't make this shit up man! The circles of life!
Sad. Unfortunately what you hear in this video is not him actually singing live.
He looks like he was just commanding the liberator on Blake's 7
I love how summertime loves cardboard cutout people.
the best man ever
So fresh
❤👌👍👍
Is that curly top real. Godamn love this song
This video deserves more love
Looks like some of the audience is board. Good song.
Mungo lovers.
I was a baldhead 10 years ago when i was 25 .This guy just made of iron…
I wouldn't have played a show where my band had to stand so far apart and stay in one place like a cardboard cutout. This world has gone looney tunes!
My heart ❤ is broken
Very nice!
Wait why is the " audience" cardboard cut outs ?
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
That is one colorful place.
J'adore très entrainant.
Jamais imaginaria ver um cara tomando chimarrão nesse vídeo kkkkk
Yeahhh
First he looks like Andre the giant but now he looks like Don Ramon as a badass

Cardboard cut-out audience for Mungo Jerry?? What planet is this??
How did his voice get better? Or is that just me?
Playback...
He's 100% lipsyncing lol Sounds great though 😂
Bloody Hell Ray Dorset still has it…. Then I realised they were miming … you can hear the original farts into the bell jar sound from the original recording.
