Would the chocolate ne secure enough on hot days and not soften ,also how many tiers could you do using chocolte dowels .? ive never seen this before but for everything be edible sounds great rather than plastic dowels

Excellent idea! 3 Questions though sir, 1. What did you use to make the 4 dowel holes into the cake (the piece with the wooden insert)? 2. What is the name of the tool you used to press the circles into the cake before removing cake from dowel holes. 3. Do you sell any of these items?
So do the chocolate dowels actually support the cake? Making a chocolate cake for my friends 18th but never made a tiered cake before so am not very versed in dowels and stacking. Any advice would be greatly appreciated :)
Thank you for another great tip. What do you do to avoid the top tier bulging at the top when you put it on top. (I hope my question makes sense) when the steel dowel goes in, doesn't it make the cake and fillings push to the top of the cake?

How do you know you've removed enough cake from the holes to make sure that you have enough room for the chocolate to reach the bottom? Thanks

Compound kullaniyorum. Bazi compound cikolatalar daha cabuk donarlar. isisini biraz daha ilik tutmalisiniz. Evet ayni cikolata.

Hi I've been asked to do a three tier cake and was thinking of doing the chocolate dowels but could you make a chocolate board, i was thinking a thicker one and then hiding it with chocolate frosting using a piping tip
there is noting wrong to have cake boards in between.

You said you have to cover the wooden board. Why can't the wood touch the cake? I usually use wooden dowels.
MDF (medium density fiberboard) is not food grade but wooden skewers are.
Is this buttercream cake? And you have already put hole on top layer cake before placing on base tier cake?
It can be any cake. I did not understand the second part of your question.

I hate to be picky...and surely chocolate is my primary addiction and main baking ingredient.. BUT. I can't see how compound chocolate will be firm enough to hold the weight of a tiered cake?? Brilliant idea, but personally I'm not convinced. Needs the cake to be very well chilled at all times to work optimally? Love your tips and love your cakes Serdar. ☮️
Even the Compound Chocolate not as crisp as couverture, because of the vertical position and the 4 x the strength will have enough hold as legs. This method only an additional solution, not an ultimate construction. It is for basically to avoid sinking. Thank you for your comment and appreciate the concern.

Yes, it is a common way to pock plastic straw to cake first and the bunch of flowers with taped wires goes into the straw.
