Two common causes of refrigerator failures are the fan that blows thru the coils and the defroster rod. The same fan fits all refrigerators. Even a separate fan behind fridge will help out a lot. Would be nice to find out what defroster rod you need and keep an extra.

Another good backup would be having $1,000 emergency cash, so when freezer goes out, have funds to replace it in 24 hours. Or have a freezer/fridge backup that's a fridge, but when freezer goes out, switch it to freezer mode and move food over.

For the last 15 years I've been collecting old canning books, the kind that water baths everything. I figure, if I really had to, I could have the pressure canners on the gas stove and water bath some foods over the open fire/grill. Ok you have jars ability and wood, that is emergency level. Generator is alterative. Solar and batteries are a force multiplier to generator. It can turn 3 days of fuel into months, meaning the other plansdo not have to engaged . In that scenario power goes off, ok fine, batterieshold overuntil solar charges, but it isstormy , so no sun, generator for a couple hours, and good to coast for hours more. never have to deal with the rest of the plan,unless.....

Power is my fav app for PACE. I have solar panels, gas/propane gen, solar gens just in case power fails. Ive had situations where power sudden died or some transformer was "hit" and power went off for a day or so. I wasn't worried. I powered what was needed by solar and solar gens and new if I had to, I could power my gas gen to take care of the houses power needs. Instead of loosing 1000s of $$$ of meat, Everything was fine. I treat water purifiers and sources the same way. I also treat communications the same way to some small extent. Phone, 2 han radios, 4 2 ways and I bought han radios for the men in my family who didn't own one already. If I need to cook without power, I have 4 butane/propane stoves. I cant even count the number of ways I can start a fire if I need to cook without gas.

You said water, yes, certainly the most important!
I say the Bible - Spiritual water - The Word of God is also very important for us faithful, so:
-Primary: Laptop (Study Apps like eSword) and normal printed Bible
-Alternate: eBook reader (Kindle) with low usage and long baterry life/storage and easy charging (also good for some other books/documents in pfd, so you don't have to carry 100 books and have it everywhere and chage with small solar panel)
-Contingency : Couple of Printed Bibles
-Emergency: Bible with leather cover and zipper, of very high quality, which protects against external damage, dust and even moisture. And that Bible placed in a waterproof bag and together in a fireproof box with other important documents.
The best, read and lean the truth now, and have also as much possible information from the Scripture in your brain and practise them in daily life😊

the reason people dont believe the conspiracy theories that are true is because we are knee high in the ones that people want to be true. decernment is more important now than ever. but to many want to be entertained with lies more than satisfied with the love of the truth. sad yet a little scary at the same time

@@Absynthexx1 Well Zac in known for his hyperbole. But just like 9/11 it is going to be handled per the narrative, true or not, and even if you know it is not true, it is not going to change a thing. You wont have the platform to convince more than a few people who already want to believe it is not true. The rest will swallow the media story.
And even if you could figure out for yourself something other than the lone shooter story, how will that change your day today life? What action steps would you take differently for one story or the other? Will it make you trust the gov less? Would that knowledge compel you to change your job? relocate your life?
whatever happened it will not change what I am doing, I am choosing to consciously object from as much of the normal goings on as I can, and to be increasing that separation as time passes.
For the sake of interesting conversation to pass the time on the journey, sure I guess then it is worth while for some, Zac just aint one of them.
