Camellia Winter Garden Flower Tour | Massee Lane Gardens 4K

Today we're taking you on a tour of the American Camellia Society at Massee Lane Gardens Tour! This was recorded on February 3rd where the flowers on the camellias were just shy of their peak bloom timeframe. We'll walk you through the garden, discussing camellias (mostly Japonica & Reticulata), some of the different cultivars or varieties, along with facts & information about Massee Lane Gardens & Camellias in general.

This was a very nice treat. I only have two camellias japonicas planted in my yard. Both called April Tryst. Has beautiful big red flowers which blooms in very late Winter to early Spring. They both get 4-5 hours of sun and are truly happy. It’s truly amazing how many different varieties they come in. Thank you for sharing this brief tour. 🌺

Wow- so beautiful and interesting! Thanks for this colorful tour today, from central Ohio and snow! I did plant a couple of hardy camellias this last year, in protected spots (zone 6B) and so far they are doing well.

I think the next to the last camellias is Katherine Nuccio. The Nuccio’s Nursery is in Altadena, Calif. I watched one of your videos on Japanese Maples. That was an eye opening content. I am going to look into finding some deals on maples and fill in some spaces where my camellias are growing. And thanks for the tour of the Camellia garden. We have Descanso and the Huntington within about 100 miles from my home. They both have excellent old camellias. Take care. Good content. Thanks.
