- IF22 with reflector, IF22A with 5° TIR Lens, both of them can throw, and beam distance very close.
As you can see, both of them have strong core beam, but IF22A has wide beam angle and more beautiful beam. There are several rings in IF22 beam which not clear in the video.
In my opinion, IF22A won with strong core beam, wider beam angle, and shorter body.
Thanks for the beam shots. I prefer the IF22A. Can’t wait to try it out. Just ordered it. Thanks again.
Never had sofirn before, this one is really nice looking and features, im consider to buy this for my first sofirn.
I've used the Sofirn SP40 headlamp for 18 months and it's been fantastic, very well made, I'm sure these are too.
SOFIRN are exceptional flashlights. Best value for money on the market today among all brands.
Thank you for this good comparison of the two lights. I personally like the beam of the 22A with the TIR lens. The rings and artifacts of the 22 version's reflector lens would be okay for some users, but I would find it distracting in a forest, meadow or shoreline use.
Best wishes...
love the IF22A beam.. thanks
Very nice Barry, thanks for sharing
I think the best thing to do is buy both 😀👍
Excellent review !
Great video well done
Love the spill from the tir lenses. Osram emitter? I only see them with sft now. Good video. ✌️
IF22A all the way
I would take a Flat White 1mm any time (I wonder if I can reflash the driver.. )
Incredible light for the low price
does the IF22A can light the ground where you are stepping if you point the flashlight forward while walking?
Which one of those do you think is good for all around use? Thank you
For the sake of a couple of seconds, this is cool, but it will not work for a bike or for a walk in the forest at night, it will quickly overheat and quickly degrade the diode
if22 👍
Does the if22 have the power bank function as well?
Thanks!
Yes
IF22A beam is way nicer, spill is smooth. May I know the TIR lens is plastic or glass?
All TIR lenses are made of plastic, but you have the flat glass protector lens on top of that (well, not on all lights, for ex. the Olights.. )
I bought IF22a . sold it next day. it was too throwy to use in urban city.if i lived in rural area, i would not sell it,.
What torch would you recommend for use in urban city comparable to if22a?
@@DM-sc4zycheck their sc28
22A for me too, but I've got the similar Astrolux EA01 with tir lens, so I don't need one. Thanks for the video.
I got a EA01 too, blue, with sst40 6500K, great little light! But I kind of miss the spill of the reflector, cause I use it for camping and hikking, so I have other lights with reflector... One of then is a Sofirn C8G, with sst40 too, great throw and spill...
