50th day after my femur surgery #TitaniumRod (My daily intake Calcium, Vitamin D3, Terifrac) I can walk without walker but yes totally uncomfortable. My problem is cant bend the knee. Suggestions please.. would be helpful ✌️
I had a compound fracture of my femur that protruded through the skin by like 2 inches, and crushed my kneecap from a fall down stairs. It has been just a few weeks from a year after having open femur reduction, and had a rod put through the femur, screws and pins in my knee, and a metal plate. The pain is so bad that I am still using a wheelchair at home, and is just so painful to walk. Have I healed enough to have them take out the hardware? I have also had mrsa from another surgery a decade ago, and am reluctant to have surgery again, but this pain is just excruciating. Any suggestions?
@@sonunaresh I am going in a couple of weeks. I was not weight bearing for 4 months, and walking is still so painful. I use lidocaine patches, and take low dose pain killers, but they just take the edge off, and still I have very bad pain. I just wanted to know if they would perhaps take out any of the hardware? And I am afraid of doing that as well, because again, I had MRSA years ago, and am afraid of any and all invasive procedures. Plus build up of scar tissue. It is like trading one problem for perhaps a bigger one. I just wanted to know if this is common, and what are the percentages of complications?
