I think thirty years ago the students knew that if they shouted and yelled at a speaker-professor they would be promptly removed from the audience and condemned by their peers. Gradually over the years it seems students have been given greater “ freedoms” to interrupt if the “feel threatened” and greater support from unions of “sensitive” students.

Students are out of control due to all these woman and black studies type courses preaching extreme nonsense.
They also are letting in students under affirmative action which allows them to get into schools they’re not qualified for. This causes an inferiority complex and anger especially from black woman.
Instead of going to a school that more fits their capabilities they go to ones where they fail out and where the students are living rich and pampered lives. This caused jealousy and resentment. You also have a lot of whites and now Asians that are getting pissed that they don’t get these handouts and realize they didn’t get in but others do w much less qualifications.

That's not the point..............when you deal with large scale populations of nations the functionality and potential of that nation must be factored by the analysis of the majority percentage of a given group or in this case race and its impact on that society. In that light, the majority percentage of Whites and Asians demonstrate cognitive skill sets and behavior capable of constructing a functional society, while the majority of Blacks lack that potential..........a given Black outlander to the right of the mean in standard deviation that would put them on par with the functionality of Whites or Asians is too small a percentage of the Black race to excuse the rest of their race's failure to assimilate to modern 1st world social functionality.

Accepting these scientific facts seems to equate to promoting racism by the commoner's standards.
Look at 50% of the comments on this video. Racism is thick here. Many of the people "accepting scientific fact" are doing so to boost their fragile egos. Many of them merely want to spread hatred and inequality; to find some group of people to mock for their entertainment.
The scientific, psychological, and economic communities are taking such information and actually studying it. Regular joes like you and I are half-assedly taking any information to promote a race war, point the finger of blame, or worst of all oversimplify the problem. Many of the racist here commenting have no solution beyond mass genocide and abusive caste systems implemented by Hitler or other tyrants in history. But I guarentee if the highest IQ Asian nations implemented such bigotry, these same racist commenters would be crying about oppression and inhumanity and how their lives are worth something and how they helped the world etc.

Rushton speaking here mentions Gould, who was always arguing the egalitarian position for the left; and that brain size studies were flawed. However Gould was caught falsifying his data to support his egalitarian arguments. Colleges and civil service examination creators hired black psychologists and sociologists to flush out the racial bias in their exams. However, try as they might, the breakdown of those test results was again just as Rushton mentions. Finally, cities and colleges just started giving blacks extra points for being black and considered that the solution.

If you train lifting and cardio and running every day and optimize your diet for muscle development, and I spend every day sitting in a couch and bordering on constant malnutrition, then I'm sure we'd both agree, you'd end up a lot stronger than I would, by whatever measure of strength we chose to compare.
That fact doesn't by itself disprove the notion that you and I have different innate potentials for developing strength.
Similarly, it might be possible to create an environment for American blacks that, on average, allows them to match or exceed the performance of American whites on IQ tests, academic performance, time management skills, some set of indicators of general life success and satisfaction, or some combination of the above.
It's not outright impossible that you could improve the environments in which black people live and are raised to such an extent that they would match or exceed average white performance on some of the above-mentioned tests, especially if a significant portion of the white population were to suffer a concurrent decrease in the quality of their environment.
But what would that really prove?

I used to think parenting advice was really important, and that applying the scientific method towards teaching people to be better parents could cause a huge, cumulative boost in human well-being, and that my own life outcome could be explained by my familial history. I looked at how middle- and upper-class people spend enormous sums of time, effort and money on giving their children the best possible start in life, and I felt really good about that, even if there had not yet emerged a consensus on which method was the best, and even if the lower classes were as yet lagging behind somewhat.
Then I looked at some twin adoption studies.
      And holy. Fucking. Shit.
None of any of the normal things that people do, nothing that is even a part of the debate at this point, predicts any significant portion of the variance in outcomes.
But exerting yourself to give your child the best possible start in life is what good people do, so that's what people will do.
Meanwhile, a tiny group of european jews, making up about half a percent of the world's population, who do culturally value knowledge and study (but not really much more than white or asian intellectual families do by any measure that I can think of, and if they did have an innate disposition, then that disposition would almost certainly cause the observed culture,) were somehow ridiculously overrepresented per capita in recognition for scientific work, including about 25% of the Nobel Prizes in hard sciences granted during the 20th century and numerous prizes in mathematics and programming.
Someone would have thought to study and replicate what they do.
Someone almost certainly has tried that. If nothing else, I'm nearly positive that e.g. the people who run Headstart must have looked at how successful people have been raised, long before they got desperate enough to start intervening at a mere 2 months of age.
But, it's a little like when Einstein gave advice on how to think about physics, or when musical prodigies try to teach mediocre students how to think about music. The advice will resonate very strongly with some very few students who will be greatly helped and inspired by it, but most people just aren't capable of replicating the way that Einstein or Bach visualized the universe.
You've probably experienced this in your own life, if you've gone to school like most people have. Weren't there a few kids in your class who had to work really hard just to pass, and other kids who got good grades while barely even trying? It might be very gratifying for you to think that the only reason you did better than them was because you worked harder, but do you honestly expect expect that there's something you might have done, to make studying as easy for the mediocre students as it was for the gifted ones who just coasted by with no effort?
But all that said, perhaps naïvely, I'm still holding out hope. It's possible that we're just stuck in a local maximum.
Maybe if we allowed much more experimentation with education and child-rearing, and dropped a bunch of licensing- and legal requirements and so on, we could greatly widen the total range of variance. We'd have to accept that a lot of children would be worse off for it, but there's a chance that it might also produce methods that are better than anything we have now.
"I'm glad to see you aren't so totally biased that you can at least acknowledge this."
An organism is a set of genes, expressed in an environment. It's utterly meaningless to make broad, sweeping generalizations about "nature and nurture" in the abstract, because a genome without an environment is nothing but a test tube of chemicals in a lab somewhere, and an environment without a genome is just a dead, lifeless rock.
(And I think the only reason why people do make broad, sweeping generalizations one way or the other is, again, as signalling behaviour, or as belief-in-belief. Most of the shit people say on this subject doesn't even parse out into positive statements that can even be true or false, but they think it and say it and feel it very wise and important anyway, because that's just the sort of thing that good, open-minded people do.)
Though frankly, I kinda devalued your personal opinion of me, when you made that whole argument about "us vs them" and how racists must be opposed at all costs and that. You still remind me a little of an earlier state of myself, but I no longer think that your judgment is a fair test of my character.
Also, your saying that you would continue to support immigration even if you believed that immigrant populations regressed towards less desirable means didn't help.
The question of biological v. cultural heredity isn't even directly relevant to that. The consequences would be the exact same, if it were due to cultural differences which had proven similarly resistant to intervention.
If those consequences to the mean of the total population had been caused by any other thing, then you would recognize a moral good in preventing that damage, even if that moral good has to be balanced against other goods (which is pretty much what I believe; it's a moral good to accept refugees and try to give them better lives, but it is a finite good which must be balanced against other finite goods.)
If it turned out that all factories which produce insulin also release trace amounts of neurotoxin into the air which had subtle but undesirable effects on adolescent brain development within dozens of kilometers, then you would think real hard about how important those two things are to you, and you'd try very hard to come up with good tradeoffs or workarounds.
There is room for virtue ethics, and there is a certain kind of person who DOES need to be reminded that proxy variables constitute a finite amount of evidence, but for goodness' sake:
      Simplify your Humanism, Sir!

No, he didn't. Suzuki picked him apart.
*How? Do you believe that races don't have differences in skull shape? You're wrong.*
There are differences in craniofacial morphology between some geographic populations that are related to climate and have nothing to do with intelligence.
*See here, for instance, that even with Gould's clear egalitarian bias (like you have) was literally DESTROYED. His shit science doesn't hold up to facts. Racial differences in skull size DO exist.*
Gould had been dead for years before that article was written so he was not alive to defend his views. Some analysts who read the article point out that the authors have a conflict of interest (they work at the University where Morton's skull collection is located) and their research is methodologically flawed (they did not analyze Morton's collection in its totality). I believe that Gould was still correct about Morton in spite of the criticisms against him. As for racial differences in skull size you should give this a read:
      bactra.org/sloth/lieberman-on-rushton.pdf
I should point out that I also emailed the lead author of that article and this is what he had to say about Gould and Scientific Racism. He doesn't agree with your or Rushton's views.
      Email reply by Jason Lewis:
      1) Do you consider Gould to have been a credible scholar (vs. a fraud)?
In the PLOS Biology article, the coauthors and I obviously didn't want to commit the same offense that we are demonstrating that Gould did, namely making accusations of bias and fraud against deceased scholars. What we do show is that at least his work on Morton was riddle with errors and some (we didn't have time to go into all of them in the PLOS piece, we will publish a longer and more detailed version soon) could only be interpreted as either very, very sloppy scholarship, intense bias, or intentional misconduct.
As our data are only relevant to the Morton case, I can't go beyond that to say whether Gould was an overall fraud vs. a credible scholar (e.g. I have little reason to doubt his measurements of shells), but a growing number of people are taking a second look at much of his body of work and finding similar inconsistencies or problems. An article by Will Saletan will be coming out in a month in Discover Magazine addressing exactly that issue. So, we will have to decide as an entire academic community, after all of his work has received a similar amount of detailed reanalysis, whether Gould was a 'fraud', but at least we know for know that there are some factual reasons to look into it in the first place.
      2) What is your personal opinion on the use of cranial capacity and brain size to claim racial differences in intelligence?
As we state in the article, there is no reason to believe that cranial capacity is highly correlated with intelligence. Morton did not believe so; Gould invents that as a reason to use Morton's work as a straw man. Personally, I don't even know if what we measure as intelligence today is an appropriate measure of 'cognitive capacity', which is what we are really after. In any case, I in no way endorse the idea of racial differences in intelligence, nor using any measure, whether they be cranial capacities, brain sizes, or even IQ scores themselves, to claim such differences. Again, as we stated in the article, neither did Morton. His purpose in measuring skulls and reporting data was to show that the groups of humans around the world were created separately by God, in order to work around the Biblical discrepancy of 'if we are all descended from Adam and Eve 4,000 years ago, how did we all come to look so different?'.

Great video, very good points. One could call it the real "Inconvenient Truth". You can just see everyone either in shock or in anxiety to start refuting. It's weird how mankind can accept things like blacks make better at certain sports and whites or Asians not, and yet, Oh no! When it comes to IQ or other items it's taboo. There must be a progressive/liberal/denial gene somewhere (or not). 'Would be interesting to go down that path of research.

If you don't have the courtesy (which is likely since you have resorted to personal insults already) to wait your turn to ask questions, or you lack the intellectual honesty to give direct answers to questions that embarrass you, then there is no point in discussing anything.

For those who are still watching I have a very thorough questions to ask regarding this hypothesis. If cold climates supposedly "select" for intelligence because it forces groups to prepare for harsh circumstances by creating shelter, weapons and thus creating civilization, than how come no civilization managed to develop independently in any cold climate? It's well documented that civilization began in Mesopotamia, Egypt and the Indus Valley which have relatively warm climates. I've seen guys give very mediocre explanations as to why this is by saying "they couldn't create civilizations because they were cold and were not able to at that time" but isn't that counter intuitive and contradictory? Also from reading ancient accounts of these supposed "high IQ" modern day people they sounded pretty barbaric at that time and do not really seem to be that type that would when been "selected for". The romans have noted how "savage" the Germanic were and were more prone to drunkenness and incapable of creating civilization while those in warmer climates such as the Greeks and Persians were more intelligent and inventive. I'm still waiting for a solid explanation for this because I see people throwing around this "hypothesis" but there are just so many fallacies and contradictions to it.

Perhaps the Germanic people were "barbaric" simply because they lacked a civilizing religion, access to any kind of formal education, and they were still living in tribes, like Native Americans. Once they had access to theses things they and the rest of northern Europe became the most advanced civilizations. I think this can be partially accounted for by the fact that the first civilizations to acquire civilizing influences like religion were also the oldest (by virtue of being closer to Africa, where our ancestors originated). And a temperate climate may have played a bigger role at that time in assuring people of having food to eat. I imagine it's pretty hard to pass civilization down to your descendents when they're dying of hunger, etc.

If you wanna be smart, get the Smart Genes.
If you wanna be handsome/ pretty, get the Pretty/ Handsome Genes.

Thanks to Dr. Rushton, we now could clearly discern that there are differences btw different races or asian, caucasian, & black in terms of the frequency of twin birth rate, the speed of physical/or sexual maturity, the difference in personality & temperament, & intelligence test scores, etc.. These are based on the strict scientific data & so these are the objective facts, not subject ones. After all, he might have vehemently delved into the matter for quite some time. So let's give him credit for that. Btw, It's hard & painful to face this harsh reality for some, but this is irrefutably & incontrovertibly the uncompromising truthful facts. After all, he is a highly qualified scholar ( a clinical psychologist ) who could talk about this sort of taboo subject back in 1980-1990.
