    If you continue with these cool "time to explain exactly what to do here and why it works" stuff, I vote that you use the news cue you had at the beginning every time. Lovely stuff.

    Thank you a lot Neuro, especially for the part, where you a-move with controlling only vipers. As simple as it sounds, yet it very effective and feasible to implement, even in plat league. Got free win today

    Funny. I was just watching your video on how to twitch and you were saying that educational content needs to be leveled down to the masses. Which I guess it made me think about what I actually wanted to learn so I killed that video and googled "viper blinding cloud tutorial" and this was the top link.

    Oh mate i was so Sure my micro on my Viper was good but you are so right....first of all I use to consume but on one building...and did not realised I could just shift consume all my Viper in order to make a viper consume a building and not all the viper on one building....a hatch for exemple...I often killed my own hatch by the way quite painfull..and secondly....trust the army is the thing...
    Hope the good type that u give are just the beginning I have to finish the video but I wanted to comment already as it so stupid but actually I was doing it wrong

    Youre one of those people that you see for 2 minutes and just like them. I love it man. you explain stuff real well and very easy to understand. I was wondering if you did anything for the BC rush style builds that every terran in diamond seems to be shoving up my ass lately? if you did. I cant find it. keep up the great content.

      @GustyWizard Před 4 lety +1

      I'm just a plat player, but I recently saw a video by him which emphasized the importance in queens vs early air protoss. I've started keeping more like 6-8 queens for defense instead of the 2 i had just been using for creep spread, I'm having a much much easier time defending early air rushes and drops and the likes. Not sure how viable it is up in diamond but if you can't tech up fast enough queens act as great anti-air.

    Please note that you as a spectator have selected the VIpers around 6:00.
    The dark-green Icon between the Minimap and the Twitch Logo is still visibile which means that you have selected as a spectator.
    In the video you say that you selected the Vipers, was this a oversight?

    just played a battle mech game... tried to fungal the hellion cyclone and kill with ling, ravager... but theyd just run before the infestor can get close ;(
    What do you do against a terran with 5+ BC that just yamato corruptors and then leave via jump?

  • @kanatur
    @kanatur Před 4 lety

    Can a Viper consume an uprooted spine or spore, or an unfinished structure? tha'd be fun haha. I mean, in theory one could ovie poop the ground in order to have closer structures to consume. But that sound wayy to weird and apm-consuming

    • @killerpotato9952
      @killerpotato9952 Před 4 lety

      I don't know about being able to consume uprooted ones but I think I read somewhere on reddit that trying to move spine/spore with army is too much apm and that the cost vs. amount of health you can consume out of them isn't worth it and that it is easier to just use evos

  • @rozmarinideas5340
    @rozmarinideas5340 Před 4 lety

    This is why I make a Raven or two with my Battlemech then go into Ghosts when Thor/Siege Tank comes out. Ravens move about as quickly as Cyclones and shut down the Vipers long enough for the Battlemech to escape, then the ghosts later on kill them somewhat safely.
    That being said, I still prefer Bio if the Zerg goes for anything except Muta/Ling/Bane because the lower gas cost and high mobility means you can execute tech switches easily and slow down the opponent while you're getting your higher tech units. You do have to pay more attention to counterattacks with bio though, your units die more quickly and you need a really good eco to get back in the game if you lose too many units. Neuro's guides are great, because you can really start to understand what to do against an opponent that follows these guides; you know how your opponent must leverage his army, so you can leverage your own against his.

  • @Chimpy_Mc_Gibbon

    • @richardgallimore5976
      @richardgallimore5976 Před 4 lety +2

      Technically Hydra Lurker Viper. Ground vs Ground a Lurker with the range upgrade out ranges a Thor. Better comps are harder to control though. If pure Hydra/Viper works for Neuro idk if I should even bother adding Lurkers as I'm lower mmr than Neuro.

    Wouldn't fungal work

    • @KkawaiiPotato
      @KkawaiiPotato Před 4 lety +1

      Fungal just slows the units and tickles compared to abducting into the hydras. Microbial shroud is shit and neural parasite plus the energy upgrade are that. Upgrades. Viper have more energy and all its abilities once unlocked with hive. Not to mention it isnt vulnerable to splash i.e. hellbats, siege, disrupter, colossus, banes, ultras, etc. Viper is just a better unit overall

    • @imzesok
      @imzesok Před 4 lety

      @@KkawaiiPotato fungal also deals a tiny bit of DoT as well as slow the attack speed, but the goal is to remove the mobility factor, and this is how I typically deal with it because it's generally more reliable for me than vipers. and yes.. vipers are highly vulnerable to splash. you forgot archons and thors in their default mode, and unsieged liberators have decent splash vs air. but I get the point you were trying to make.. but ideally, you're doing what Neuro is doing with the vipers and have them BEHIND the army and on a second hotkey. in order for it to fall victim to siege or anything else, you have to just not be paying attention. if anything your argument is one against using hydras at all,as all those things you listed are phenomenal vs hydras. so.. moral of the story is: don't wander into choke points blindly and you'll be fine.

    • @imzesok
      @imzesok Před 4 lety

      yes, fungals work fine for dealing with the cyclone+hellion. doesn't do much vs the battlecruiser except slow it down. I guess if timed right it'd interrupt a tactical jump. but the duration is fairly low, which is why vipers are considered more viable. plus since the infestor doesn't have infested terrans anymore, Vipers just have more utility as Kawaii Potato pointed out. . . they do have neural parasite though, which is good for stealing a lone/lagging BC and picking it off. gotta be careful though as the range is terrible and best used while burrowed. both units are super fragile though so try to keep them behind the army where possible.
