Thank u for sharing how to make fairy wands. I ordered a whole bunch of beads and hope they all come together. I'm so excited to make these. Sandy in Lansing michigan!!❤
Thanks Sandy, have fun making them
These are beautiful and so enchanted looking. I've got so much creativity and no time, but I'm gonna make time for the faeries 🧚♂️🧚♀️🧚& flowers! Thank you 😊 for the tutorial.
Very cool 😎
thanks so much. I hope you try I
I Love your Fairy Sticks. The colors are gorgeous. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much, we enjoy making them and love how they look in the garden
Thanks for teaching me how to do this❣️
This was so informative. Thank you!
Thank you. We love the look of them. Happy making
Hi everyone, we have gotten some email questions and w thought we would answer them here.. we use a #8 steel rod ad you can get them at any hardware store.. the beads are large hole beads like those from Pandora type of bracelets.
Good luck and watch for our next video coming out soon. Meg
Just what I've been looking for! Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge and information~
I'm so glad, they look adorable in the garden
Those are beautiful
Pretty, thank you!
🍃🤗🍃
Wouldn’t a small nut work better than foil?
Great project, I’m excited to make some!
you really could use either. We just liked the clean finish. Let us know how your project goes, we love to see the end results.
I would put one on and cover it with a large glass bead. You can use E600 to glue the bead onto the bolt that way it still has a clean look. I have a few large beads just sitting there collecting dust I know what I’m going to use them for now!!! I’m so excited!!
Very pretty
Thank you
Beautiful! Where do you buy the rod at? And size? ❤
Thank you 🤩🤩🤩💖💖
You’re welcome 😊
I can not find a way to purchase a kit. I looked up Artfish42 and what looks like a store is pictured but there is no way to look at anything you sell. Can you send the correct link to purchase from the store???
Very nice
Thank you
Hello, what is the diameter of the rod. Thank you.
Where can you get the bigger ones at besides Pandora bracelet beads.
I would like to get some.
Those are beautiful
Hi, You can order on Amazon if you'd like or we have the kits for 18.00 + 3.00 shipping. If you order the beads on Amazon make sure you order large hole beads your local bead store might have them as well. If you'd like to order the kit from us let us know and we can arrange shipment and payment.
@@artfish4284 can u share the link to amazon for beads, rod and charms
So cute. You don't add a threaded nut on the bottom to hold everything in place?
no you don't need to with the tin foil. If you'd like, you can add a dot of E6000 to the foil. Of course you could add a nut but we liked the fairy feel. Let us know how your's comes out or if you have any more questions. Artfish42@hotmail.com
@@artfish4284 At first I thought the foil part was silly. But after watching your tutorial, I agree with the foil. It looks so much cleaner and nicer with the last bead, no nut. So excited to make one! Thank you!!
@@ladybyrd5557 Use a hex nut to end beads off. Hardware or Lowe's. Ask for Hex to fit 8-32 threaded rod.
Where can you find the barrel to add a charm ? Thanks so much
💖🙏🏽
Sorry another question :( Where do you buy your beads?
We get them online and they are the wide hole beads
Very pretty. Where do you get the steel bar? At a hardware store? If so, what is it called, please?
You can find them at Home Depot or Lowes they are steel rods size #8. Good luck. We also have the kits on our Etsy Artfish42shop.
What is the proper name of those beads? Also where do you get them and the knob? Is that rod stainless steel? I have stainless steel nuts to use instead of foil.
Hi , They are large hole beads, we use different sizes some 15x10 mm but the important thing is large hole. You can get them on Amazon or many of the craft stores. If you have an old Pandora bracelet they work perfectly. The steel nuts are great, we just like the clean lines with the foil and the rods that we use are zinc coated stainless steel
@@artfish4284 what is steel nuts
Just watched this. Where do you find the knob pulls without the screw attached? That’s all I can find.
thank you for watching , You can use the knobs but take out the screws. We are also getting ready to put the kits up on our new Etsy shop which will be Artfish42shop It should be going live by midweek. Thank you again
Meg
Beautiful. We're do u get those beads tia.
Hi, We are putting together an Etsy shop for the kit with everything you need. It will be up by March2nd. We love our fairies🧚♀
Where do you buy your beads? What size hole goes over rod?
We have kits at our shop or you can get them at a jewelry site or Michaels. If you have an old Pandora bracelet that you don't use they are perfect
she selss the kits so shes not going to say what her sources are.
Where do you get the pretty cabinet pulls?
you can get them at the hardware store, or online.
Hi hobby lobby or home depot Lowes they're call drawer pulls or cabinet knobs
❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you
What size jump ring are you using for the charms? Thank you!
Ive used different size jump rings. the main thing is that they fit in the barrel bead. A medium or large ring is perfect. Good luck and let us see your pictures. Meg
What size beads do you use? Are they 8mm?
I second this question. ☺️
I'm a beader, I'd say larger.
Where do you buy your rods and do you have to cut them?
you can cut them or you can get them at a hardware store.
Lowe’s or Home Depot will cut the rod to your preference.
@@Nahnie-Lucy Great to know. Thanks for the input.
@@artfish4284 what size do i get?
@@Nahnie-Lucy is it cheaper to get a long one and cut into pieces
What are the dimensions of the threaded rods? Can’t wait to do this with my grandchildren!
I would like to know this too!
The rods are 8-32-1 foot. You can find them on Amazon. The tips are red.
Easy peasy…. Beautifully done, thank you for sharing this video. I love this Idea!
What size beads for this method?
@@selnaday can u pls share the link. Also the beads
have you ever made a cross?
We have not but that would be interesting.
Where can I get the barrels?
Hi Linda you can get them at any beading store or Amazon 50pcs Antique Alloy Pendant Clasp Bail Beads Loose Spacer Beads Connectors for DIY Necklace Bracelet Jewelry Making beads are large holed beads ( like for Pandora bracelet)
My mom is trying to find these rods and can’t find them anywhere! Please help!
They are difficult but Home Depot and Lowe's carries them. they are #8 threaded rods. they usually come in. 12", 24" and 36". I seem to find the 24 inch ones more frequently and then cut them . Good luck
home depot or lowes in electrical depts. has threaded rods of many diameters.
Use a stainless steel nut to end it.
You certainly can , we just like the clean look of just a bead at the end. You can cap it off however you like. :)
This is great but it would be nice if you had a list written down so we wouldn't have to be trying to remember and if you don't have a pen to write it down handy if you would write out a list thank you so much great tutorial
I will keep this in mind for the next video
Thanks for your input
Great ideas and thank you for the tips . . . but come on! Just the facts please.
Not sure what the come on is about but hope you have fun making them. Put them in your garden and they look great in the sun
Make them out of copper, makes your garden healthy. It's called electroculture
What size beads?
You get the large hole beads. Like the Pandora size
