The Rocket Accel tunnels suck though, especially the 2nd one since it can unfairly damage you in the cutscene

Yeah, I decided to remove all the checkpoints from every stage to make it harder. Dying is an instant restart and u won't get easy levelups.

Why you don't activate team blast repeatedly?

He seems to only use it if the enemy layout is repetitive. Though for this level, he used it more often than usual.
