- Wow. 8 months ago we started this project. Feels like an eternity to be honest with you all. How did we get here?
I would like to thank you all for waiting so patiently as we all worked our hardest to give you the best possible result we could, given the obstacles we faced on our journey. I’m so happy that all of our hard work paid off, and we finally get to present our grand finale to you. And saying I’m super happy is an unbelievably large understatement. There were times I thought this was never going to get done. There were times I wanted to call it. But despite those times, I decided to keep pushing alongside my friends, because I knew I couldn’t give up on this dream. And after months of long, hard work, we are finally ready to give it to you all. Calamity - One Winged Angel is here.
No need to give credits here in the description, we have them all in the video. A huge thanks to everyone who poured their hearts and souls into this project. I am oh so grateful for you guys. You guys helped me make my dream come true, and I could never repay that, no matter how hard I try.

@@SephirothhMasamune I guess so! I mained Sephiroth while I was making this, but I swapped for Bowser not too long ago. But don't worry, Sephiroth is my secondary and I'm not giving him up any time soon!
That is one of, if not the best, One-Winged Angel version EVER! I was jammin’ and singin’ along (to the lyrics I knew) this is the culmination of everything One Winged Angel is! The lyrics, the tone, the instruments, it all comes together absolutely perfectly! I can’t wait to see your future projects!
thank you so much man! A hell of a lot of effort was put into this, and I'm so happy everyone was satisfied with the final result. We're definitely going to keep the hype train because of me and Jacob's OWA Collections, but his is definitely coming a lot sooner than mine. Mine might take about a year or two. We'll see though! But in terms of new covers, we're happy to see everyone satisfied with the last new OWA cover. Absolutely very happy.

The Ancient Japanese style at the beginning, the tension created by the nervous repeated threes of notes and above all the loving care put into spacing the different parts out like piano and drum taking different turns.

I really appreciate the kind words Owen! This project started out as a dream, right after Apocalypse dropped. I knew that after Apocalypse I would do one more to top it all off, so I decided to start writing pretty much two days after the song released. So glad to see that after 8 months of grinding and hard work, we could release something that everyone loved. Warms my heart, and helps me to settle down knowing that we ended it off perfectly.
It warms my heart to know you were inspired by our work! Cannot wait to see what kind of work you make with this new motivation!

not gonna lie, when i first saw this video i thought it would be entirely animated. seeing the smash bros. fotage at points is a little jarring but the cover itself is really good. it also really made me wish sephiroth and cloud where dubbed in smash.

Hey, what's that bit at the end translate to?
That section is Greek! It was supposed to say “Thank you for making me happy again,” which is a reference to how much I’ve loved making One Winged Angel covers, but unfortunately the translation in iMovie simply did not want to work, and apparently the translator was wrong as well. The message was supposed to be "Σας ευχαριστώ που με κάνατε ευτυχισμένο και πάλι." It got the structure of it right, but some Greek letters don’t work in iMovie so it replaced the letters that didn’t work with default English letters

@@Megatron_D-16 well there’s going to be two versions, like Apocalypse, an instrumental and an audio only. But as for chorus, I’m not too sure. Right now it’s too early to tell if we’ll even be able to add vocals. Besides, this is nearly an entirely new concept for Calamity, it will have some similarities but mostly different. Call it the Kryptyk Cut if you will. If you go to my Vtuber model debut and you go roughly 6 minutes in, I teased the trailer for that as well as the OWA Unity cover.

This was our own version of One Winged Angel! We wrote our own individual sections basically from scratch, so yes, we basically made up our own sections. Obviously retaining OWA characteristics though!
