Se trata de un ballet moderno y sensual muy bonito de un gran COREOGRAFO que tiene numerosos trabajos como puede ser el LAGO DE LOS CISNES y numerosos ballets clásicos en una versión moderna.
my personal interpretation of the love triangle is that even though there was raw sexual chemistry between the redhead and the drifter, there wasn't any love. it was an affair based purely on the potent physical attraction between the two. this is why when they actually get to live together without anything standing in the way, they aren't truly happy. On the other hand, there might be some deeper feelings between the drifter and the other guy, as alluded to when after they first have sex, the drifter takes the time to gently kiss him goodbye, when he didn't have to. It's just a small detail but I feel like it was purposefully put there to say there might be something a bit more intimate between them. However, the drifter is perhaps reluctant to follow through with these feelings because he may prefer the lack of complication that comes with simply having fun with the redhead and is perhaps not ready to "settle down" with a serious relationship. After the other guy is thrown into jail, he is raped and abused by the guards which makes him hate and resent the drifter for letting him take the fall for his crimes and subjecting him to such a fate, EVEN THOUGH he still loves him (hence, the kiss in the final fight).
Bourne is a brilliant choreographer, and his take on the Bizet score is certainly interesting. BUT the camera work and editing of this video is dreadful. The camera moves around more that the dancers do, and the result is a chaotic mess.
AMAZING PIECE, HI TO ALL MY FELLOW DANCERS

The music kept throwing my mind to Carmen's plot. The dancing was great, though.
