Put the rolls into a pan that it fits into and touches the sides and then use all of the butter mixture. Yes you need napkins but using all of the butter mixture makes it soak down the sides and it tastes great. I use thin sliced cheese rather then the regular size slices and it all melts.
In the south they’re called funeral rolls. I make these all the time for UK football and basketball games. I use a stick of butter, Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, regular mustard, and brown sugar. If you prepare them overnight and let them sit covered in the fridge they’re sooo much better. I only use 1 pack of cheese to every 1lb of ham. I’ve used the smaller I believe 9oz containers of ham and find them to be more than enough. Also they’re good with turkey or provolone cheese if you don’t have the ham or swiss 😃
I've been wanting a sandwich since last week but I'm on chemo for stage 4 colon cancer so I loose my tastebuds like for 9 days or so
As soon as I get them back I'm going to have to try and make these they look good all that cheesy goodness
You did a Great job Kevin
I hope you will try this recipe. It is so delicious!
GOD BLESS YOU ......PRAYERS 🕇
I make these often; we love them! I always use different meat (honey ham, roast beef or sometimes whatever is on sale lol) and I change up the cheese (cheddar, Muenster, Brie, anything really!). I sometimes spread a little mayo inside as well and I top it with 1 bar melted butter, garlic & onion powder & worst sauce. Sometimes I’ll add in a little brown sugar as well. We LOVE them!
Sandwiches looked tasty. I always thought the recipe I used was the Kings Hawaiian one, but I guess not. My recipe has poppy seeds along with onion and you pour half the butter on bottom layer and the rest over tops of sandwiches. Then you put in fridge so bread soaks up butter, then bake.
These are my favorite!
Those sandwiches looked scrumptious!😋
making some for my office potluck this video was super helpful and the end review was as well! I cant wait to make mine!
Am I the only one watching that’s impressed that they didn’t come apart when Kevin lifted them out of the pan?
If I made this, I'd leave out the Worcestershire sauce, as I am allergic. And maybe layer the Swiss cheese into 2 layers, sandwiching the ham in between.
I'll have to pick up some King's Hawaiian Slider Buns. I'm sure my family would enjoy these! Thank you for sharing this!!
Amazing. Thanks for. The recipe
Looks absolutely delicious!
Thank you! They really are delicious!
I did this in the past using turkey. It was really good. This is making me want to do it again soon.
Those looked delicious. Ham and swiss cheese are always delicious together.
These are the best! We make them for supper with sausage quest crockpot dip and bbq little smokies! Sooo yumm!
thanks for the recipe
Thank you for watching!
We've had these before. So yummy!!
My favorite!!!! Yum!!!
These are the best! We make them for supper with sausage cheese crockpot dip and bbq little smokies! Sooo yumm!
Yummy....I love those rolls
These are good made them several times. Also the rolls are good for hamburger sliders. Love KH rolls!
Great Job Mr.Kevin and Mrs.Tami will be trying this recipe,I did your shells recipe and my kids love it,Thank you!!!!
I bet you will love these! I plan to make them again :)
Quarantine meal tonight!!! Thanks for sharing!
This meal is AMAZING!
the honey ham with this is 🔥
These would be popular at any gathering! Thanks for sharing!
I agree! Thank you!
Thank you Kings Hawaiian. 🌺🌺🌺
Great video!!!!
Thank you! :)
Drooling 🤤!!!!
They look like white castle burgers...I've got to try this out. Thanks for sharing, God bless you
I am going to try this though, obviously, I can't buy King's Hawaiian in the UK. I will use the whole 1lb of cheese, but put half on the bottom layer, then cover with ham and the other half of cheese on top of that. Then for the sauce I will use softened, rather than melted, butter since it will help the other ingredients mix more thoroughly. I look forward to tasting it.
Great party food! I agree a bit less cheese and ham would be preferable.
Glad you all made and tried these!👍🥰
😋 yum! And kings Hawaiian should be thanking you for the pub. Haha
I use turkey, ham, swiss and pre cooked bacon. Brush top with melted butter and dip in Frisch's ranch dressing. Yum!
This is exactly what my aunt makes so good
These look delicious!! 🥪
YOU CAN NEVER HAVE TOO MUCH CHEESE ❤️
I made these yesterday and they are yummy! I used ham and turkey, provolone, Muenster cheese and American cheese. Also honey mustard.
I'm so glad you made them. They are delicious, I agree!
I’ve made these sandwiches for years. They are great for get togethers like church. 😊
Kathy McLain I like regular ham you get at the deli counter this recipe has to much ham and should be in between the cheese I would put less ham
Yep that's the funeral sandwiches I was telling you about .You definetly only need 1 pack of cheese to 1 lb ham and pour all the mixture over sandwiches and let set covered in fridge 4 hours then put in oven.and mine calls using onion powder and for 2 tablespoons of brown sugar in with the butter mixture.
dani 69 this is the same recipe I use except we use American cheese. I do a single layer on the bottom then the ham them another single layer of cheese on top. Sooooo good.
I’m not really good at making stuff like this but I’ll give it a go, it looks amazing
Thank you!
after you told your story I say that Arby’s has new Kings Hawaiian sandwich’s
I don’t know if the same sandwich that Kevin was trying to order
but just letting you know, l laugh 😆 because it was right after I heard your story
and they did advise them as kings Hawaiian sandwich’s
absolutely love the bread!
I grew up eating those Hawaiian rolls as sandwiches. I mean hey, if you were hungry, and had Hawaiian rolls in your cupboard, had some sandwich meat and cheese in the fridge, of course I'll make a mini sandwich. Lol
They are so good!
Yum these look so so good! Thanks for the idea tami. I'll be making these this weekend and take Kevin's advice with the cheese and sauces :)
Hi Folks. These look absolutely delicious!! Only thing I would do, is melt the cheese a little bit more! These would be great for a meeting or at a church function or game night at home! Great share. Sending Cali love. XOXO :)
I agree, Lila!
I’ll have a garden salad, bag of chips, and a cold IBC rootbeer with that sandwich, please. Thannnnkkk YOooouuu!!!
FYI.. I’ve made these before and if you pour the whole mixture on top and let it set overnight in the fridge first they are so much better! They will puff in the pan (like an overnight French toast bake) & the bottoms and tops will caramelize when baking!! 😋😋😋
Oh that sounds wonderful!
i don't like cheese (lactose intolerant) but i think these would be good without it! i hope you make the other recipe they sent you. i think it was french toast? yum!
My grandma used to make these expect she made them with big buns and I make them with the mini buns now.
Jennifer has made them before. They are good
For me this would have been better using regular deli ham lunch meat, and some pepper jack or sharp cheddar cheese & also do without the chopped onions, sauce & mustard just straight melted butter😋😋 it did look good though
You should probably layer the ham and cheese. Would've melted better maybe.
Those are good sandwiches I would make them again but that would be way too many sandwiches for me to eat unless I shared with my friends
I think a mistake was made although it did look very scrumptious. I believe he should of added sauce to the bottom of the bun and then did cheese and ham another layer of butter then more cheese and ham continuing this way in a layering manner and before topping the whole sandwich with what was left at the end.
We followed their directions, but you can make it any way you want :)
Yummyyyyy
mmm... look's delicious! I like how you explain everything (like you must use the napkins). I like how you detail everything. I appreciate everything you do.
Sincerely :)
Thank you, Flori :)
Made these Sandwiches for my Children. Picky Husband asked for one, then went back for seconds. 👍🏽
That is awesome!
You can use garlic butter on king Hawaiian sandwiches
Great idea!
A recipe card for ham and cheese sandwiches?
Yes :)
And you are watching a CZcams video on how to make a ham and cheese sandwich.
Kings hawaiian sent me the goodie box to because arbys didnt give me my Hawaiian rolls
I think you needed the 24 pack of King's
We loved them 😃
Don't you always have napkins at a pafty? Lol
Thank you for you comment!
They’re way better with croissants
Try it again...put half the cheese under the ham and half on top...no big hunk of cheese!!!
Has anyone ever made these with mozzarella slices instead of Swiss?
It would work the same way.
@@TamiDunn Thanks... I was referring to the taste though. Have you ever tried it with mozzarella?
@@mamabear8879 I haven't tried it, but I love mozzarella cheese so I think it would taste great.
@@TamiDunn Thank you :)
Why not just double the amount of rolls? A pack of cheese and ham for each.
Hawaiian sliders i don't want to sound rude but where's the pineapple ? !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
