The reason you can kill Tommy is because he's set up like an enemy NPC, which is why you can see him on listen mode. You can also kill Bear in the stadium if you throw a pipe bomb lol
How can you use weapons in the stadium?

I feel like it’s a fun non canon Easter Egg and reward for the highly skilled. I am surprised his model is even visible, animated or that the player can reach him if skilled enough and has the animations and interactions programmed in.
Kind of like how in Deus Ex it’s not canon to be able to just run away from Anna Navarre but the game allows clever players to do that.
I never liked Tommy. I wish this would be canon for a secret ending.

I love how Tommy has facial animations for the fight even thought you cannot normally attack him. Apparently all characters are programmed to have them by default.

depends of the throwable... try to break two windows with a bootle (not necessarily a molotov :D ) and you'll get your answer :D

The fact that Abby could interact with Tommy (grab, strike, etc.) tells me they probably had a more drawn out fight planned out earlier in the dev cycle. Pretty neat.

All enemy NPCs tend to have the combat properties attached. Mel had it in the Aquarium even though the whole fight was an interactable cutscene so I don't think they planned a full fight here :(

Not necessarily a bad thing and it is effective in combat but it's not a very realistic thing. If I somehow had 100 windows stacked, it would travel through all 100.

I mean I hear you but I don't think it travels through 100 windows tho. I mean we would never know but a game with extreme detailing like this one would never make a mistake that bad. I don't know why but I'm pretty confident on that. I'm sure they knew what they were doing here too tbh. That's why I don't think this is a mistake.

I feel like the part 2 was supposed to have even more details and destructive environments but it had to be scaled back due to the limits of the PS4. Hopefully, part 3 with close with much more destructive environments.

I found a weird typo. Behind the playground where you have the snowball fight there’s a sign in front of the Church. Instead of “Sunday Worship” it says “Sunday WARship”. Seems deliberate. I need answers lol

Seeing how Ellie went from that little girl from Part 1 or even Jackson into becoming a matured young woman really resonated with me. Seeing how much shit she goes through but every time she picked herself back up and how much it made her grow.
Sometimes to truly find yourself you have to go through extreme hardships, and sometimes your world needs to fall apart to discover how strong you really are. Ellie went from having the best day in her life to her world completely shattered just a few hours later. She went through hell but was not beaten by it but was able to beat it.
The game was not perfect, but it was a very special and unique experience that affected me like no other media has.
However, how I ultimately feel about the game depends completely on Part 3, and that all the suffering and misery of Ellie wasn’t for nothing.

Hey, I have one! I'm blanking on the chapter name, but it's the section where Tommy is sniping at you, there's another way to break that section MUCH funner and more broken. When you make it to the cart, if you let Tommy shoot it once and then bring it back into cover, you can use a pipe bomb to blow the rest of the shit off the cart. This softlocks the cart, as even though nothing is on the cart, and Abby is clearly visible, Tommy will infinitely shoot at the cart, and cannot hit you, nor progress the game, because you blowing the cart assets off of it completely breaks Tommy's script. He can still hit you if Abby is in his normal gameplay line of sight, though. Interestingly, everything on the cart is attached to it. If you go far enough away, every asset that was on the cart will eventually lift up into the air and will float along with the cart wherever you take it to!

@@Speclizer for sure, it's super fun! :) I'm the glitch king, lmfao. I've always loved glitching games, especially the TLOU franchise. While I never post, and other people (as you even had shown in this video) know about that Tommy glitch where you can get past the gate, as far as I know, I'm the first person who actually discovered that glitch! Still have the clip of me finally getting it on 6/28/2020. It took me an hour, but when I finally realized you could get there, I almost shit my pants. 😂 knowing about glitches is one thing, but when you find something like that yourself, especially hours of trying it, not even knowing if it's possible, it's very, very rewarding. And of course the sniper section, which props to you, because I didn't know you could get out of bounds that way. I'd love to see this become a series if possible! Kinda hard finding glitches or just normal bugs on ND's part, unless you're directly looking for broken shit, it's pretty hard to find anything like that!
Hey, Speclizer, I've been meaning to ask you two things for over a month, and I kept forgetting to do so. 😂 where is "The Farm" map located? I've always wondered how far from Jackson it technically is, do you happen to know if it's close to where Jackson's town is, or is it just in some random place? And the last thing which I've been curious for years now, if you mod the original TLOU, can you tell me if the spot where Joel, Ellie and Tommy go to before Joel and Ellie leaves for the UEC is loaded in somewhere, or does it it only load it when that cutscene starts? (I'm aware it's the same place where Ellie and Joel are at during the ending of the game, but I've been wondering if it's loaded into the game and can be accessed with an oob glitch? It'd be cool to see that little area in a way you weren't meant to.
@@JoJo61413 There is no way to tell how far the farm is from Jackson since both maps are never loaded in at the same time. Even if I did load both at the same time, it wouldn't be accurate because they just place the maps randomly. I have no idea about your second question, I might be doing an OOBR series on TLOU 1 so I could have a look when that starts!

I just woke up when I had sent that, btw, so I hope you understood what I was asking. 😂 in summary, I'm just curious if that hill overlooking Jackson is already loaded in when Joel and Tommy go after Ellie, and if it is, if it's possible to reach it without mods. I tried following videos of their path, looking for certain landmarks to see if I could find them when I was doing the horse clip oob glitch during that section, but I couldn't find any exact landmarking to follow the location of them, and I'm 100% sure every time the screen cuts, it teleports them somewhere anyways. 😆 I don't have the ability to mod, which is why I'd love to see if you could find out if it's there or not, clearly you'd have a much less stressful time than me. 😅 thank you in advance! I'd love to see some TLOU videos!

I'm guessing that you can't really escape from Tommy either, but have to restart? Abby's behavior makes it very clear that jumping into the water wasn't intended.
I don't think I noticed any mistakes during my playthrough, which is a good sign ;-) Most of them are quite obscure anyway, making it unlikely to stumble upon them. So thanks for sharing the ones you discovered!
haha yep! you need to restart the encounter. That scene has so many glitches, hard to make any of them happen though which is good!
The "level of detail" bug at 6:17 isn't actually a bug, it's just very severe pop-in. It happens all the time in this game, at least on PS4 Base. Once you start paying attention to it, it becomes very distracting and immersion breaking.
The sign was is a pretty extreme example, even on a base PS4. Never saw any of that degree in my whole play through, just maybe minor things in the distance.
@@RagnarokMic In that case you haven't been paying a lot of attention. I've seen power sockets appearing on walls as I entered a room, I've seen trees go from pretty much bald to full of leaves, plain tall gras turning into wheat right in front of me, the list goes on

@@RagnarokMic I've had whole buildings disappear. If you walk around and look around each area you should see things pop in all the time. A sign would be small to the kind of pop in I have seen in the game.

1:22 seeing the headless body just spinning around and doing flips uncontrollably was hilarious to me, and that tells you what kinda humor I have
When you start playing as Ellie in Santa Barbara and you climb up the cliff from the beach/boat, if you look back before crawling under the wooden barrier thing you can see that the horizon has a peak to it. Essentially you can see the edge of the map, noticed it on my first play-through when it was released and it’s still there now, surprised they haven’t patched it out.

5:00 Seeing Abby with mollys caught me off guard for a sec. I noticed pop-in when playing as Abby in the beginning during Jackson in a house, there is an old fashioned wooden tire leaning against the wall, if you’re near the pillow side of the bed angling the camera will make it pop-in and out, I have a video of it.
Ive played the game twice now and tried my best to find tiny secrets on my own like this and couldn’t find a single thing. Spent more than 45 hours total, playing and searching. Big props to you being able to find these, I could never.
I love that you really had to go digging to find stuff.
My biggest "holy shit the detail is insane" moment was when I realised you could basically polish a dusty floor by belly crawling everywhere

5:19 oh that's no mistake that's just Abby's SUPERHUMAN strength she has that's so powerful she can hurl molotovs all the way through cars without making them break.
The 2nd one, Possessed Dead Body, is due to instabilities in the physics engine and occurs in many games. They typically resolve object collisions with penalty forces proportional to the amount by which object geometry clips into other object/environment geometry. Due to approximations in the time step, Δt, used in the physics engine sim, which often varies during execution, you can get overdampened or underdampened behavior, the latter of which appears like mechanical energy not dissipating or even gaining more energy. This is common in many game engines.
Have to admit that little scene at 1:00 gave me shivers. I cant imagine it any different if Abby did catch up to Tommy

One mistake I've noticed is that the taxidermied wolves that give you a tiny jumpscare in the museum you encounter as Ellie have no collision for throwables. You can throw a brick or bottle right through them, though bullets still collide.
What happened after you killed Tommy? Did the game just pretend that didn't happen, or do you have to restart the encounter? Very curious!
You can't progress since Tommy is dead and you're blocked in so you have to restart the encounter.

@@levelupfanatic You're locked in the restaurant. You can't open the shutter that Tommy just lowered. From inside, you can't open the door that Abby and Manny are supposed to try opening. And if you head out the back doors where Tommy is supposed to ambush, nothing happens.

Near the beginning of the game where abby first meets Joel and Tommy after crawling next to the fence, you enter a corridor where zombies burst through the door at the end. Tommy throws a molotov and burns them. If you run through the fire and survive, you enter a room with a placeholder zombie and if you go upstairs the whole map disappears and you can see into "the void".

unrealistic, the speed of the thrown object would lessen on the first window and not have enough to pass through the second, that and if its also a molotov being used then it would also blow up on impact
You can also shoot allies with both bows, you just have to aim little up so the arrow does a little drop before hitting
I have a great one where a corpse is having a lil rave, head banging into the ground
I was doing a replay yesterday and realized when you play as younger Ellie in the bloater encounter flashback, when you and Joel walk in the room to find the two Jackson kids the clicker is wearing a dress... However after Ellie reads the suicide/murder note the clicker was the male and the camera pans out and the clicker is now wearing paints ..

I had numerous issues with disappearing foliage on PS4 Pro when moving the camera at certain angles, haven't tried it on PS5 yet. I enjoyed it overall
It's crazy to think that for every bug you see there are a hundred that Naughty Dog fixed.

There's also some "big" mistakes in this game. I've seen waterfalls running dry when backtracking an area, and even enemies becoming invisible, just floating guns.
