I is actually the other way around, blue reflects more laser power, not absorbs more. The more it absorbs the more it burns. Most likely the wavelength is in the blue to green spectrum, hence it reflects more on that material color ;)

Nice laser, but there sliding lid design is questionable, they should have just used some simple hinges.
After having it for a month or so I actually really like it. I don’t have a lot of space but because of the roll top I was able to put the laser under my work table. This design allows me to open it and see/reach everything in that small space and the tabletop over it. I’ll give an update if it ever breaks down
Can the Eco Weld be used on Eva foam as well?
Yes! It’s a good non-toxic alternative to barge. It’s made for leather, but works for all kinds of materials. I use it when it’s too cold to open up all the windows and turn the fan on when I use Barge or when I just don’t want to put on my respirator
I just got a 40 Watt Pro and was really excited to see this project. It looks amazing.
Why kind of foam did you use?
It’s just regular high density EVA foam. I get mine from a supply but SKS Props sells very nice foam in all thicknesses

I got a creality a few months back. It was given to me by someone who got bored with it.
Yet. I’m afraid to try anything because I don’t want to waste material…
I have a little of that fear as well. That’s why I’ve been doing a lot with foam since it’s so cheap
