pack it like that for immediate damage 😂 there is no edge protection. even on a pallet there is risk of damage that way, packing with a tyre on that way is fine, and you can strap 2 together, faces inside with outer protection, for wheels only your heading for lots of damage, make a square box, put cardboard triangles the depth of the box in each corner of the wheel, with 2 extra cardboard pieces top and bottom for protection. with something to cover the wheel face to stop the cardboard scratching it
Your advice is sound!
First of all, this takes waaaay to much time and there is no real protection as you said, there are much easier, safer, and faster ways to pack it lol. You need fitting boxes tho!
Shipping company’s HATE anything that isn’t square. Yes this method works but it’s not the best way to ship. Depending on size, the best options are to box them up or send on a pallet
Do not ship wheels like this. Worse idea I have ever seen.
