He was a kind and gentle soul given his profession.
I played a game of pool with him at Nantasket beach in a little corner bar called Freddie’s in the early to mid-1980s.
We played all the way down to the 8 Ball, I had a pretty good shot in the corner pocket and I somehow missed, I consider it an honor to lose to the “CHAMP”!!!
You shook hands and had a beer. Boy what a night that was for me. RIP Mr. Hagler.

Glad to be a product of the 80's and a huge fight fan, I recorded all those great fights from early 80's to late 90's , being from Michigan and being a United states marine at the time in April 1985 I went home on leave to celebrate my 21st birthday and we had a huge party and gathered to watch hagler/hearns , it devastated us to watch Tommy get his ass whooped my Marvin but Tommy went out swinging, we all gained hella respect for hagler after that fight and went on to be big fans, now I gotta transfer all those great fights from vhs to DVD eventually lol.

Bearing in mind that Hagler was 66 when he died (he may have been older), his mother must be in her mid 80's at least, she looks amazing.
I agree! MMH’s mom looks great! Good genetics for sure. Marvelous Marvin was as healthy as a human could have been right up to taking the Covid shot. I read someone write a comment that said “it was the only shot that ever got him.” Very true.
