Seen it mentioned in a couple of comments so I thought I'd pin this here: In the interest of transparency, some of this footage was recreated due to technical problems when recording. I think it's most noticeable in the poor game music sync through out, and occasionally I'll straight up teleport in odd ways. I'm flattered that some of you were watching close enough to notice. My mind still boggles that 82k people have watched it. Next time I'll remember to hit record and save myself the effort XD At various points throughout I did also catch a Magmar and a Butterfree. I admit I did not make a Magmar or a Butterfree. Those "plotlines" were largely edited out for time and relevance. Just like the crushing disappointment that was the cave full of Eevees and Haunters. 😂
Please please PLEASE!! Do this again! I love this and think it would make a great series just like the "cut up my old patterns and create something new" I love your ideas!!!!❤
You’ve just created a whole new genre of Pokémon gameplay videos HAHAHAH I love it! Thanks for sharing your talent, that was an amazing video to watch 🥰
Okay but like... I will pay for all of these patterns. I'm a veteran crocheter but haaaaaate the process of puzzling out amigurumi patterns for some of my beloved Pokemon.
LOVE them all! I thought Articuno was my favorite until I saw how amazing Vileplume turned out. Your design skills are amazing! Was this a rom version of Fire Red? Boy, I would have loved to get legendary so early in the game.
Hi, my name is Sabrina Griffin, and I am a Pokémon expert. I love the Pokémon movies, Pokémon hats, Pokémon tee shirts, Pokémon figures, Pokémon socks, Pokémon cards, Pokémon card Sleeves, Pokémon card Dividers, Pokémon plushies, Pokémon pins, collector boxes, Pokémon sweaters, and Pokémon Funko pops too. I have a new Pokémon drawstring bag, and it is so cool. I never done crochet before in my life. It sounds like fun to me.
That's definitely the cutest Vileplume I've ever seen! Given that I'm a crocheter that watches a ton of pokemon content, youtube should have known to recommend this sooner!!
Oh my word, that Articuno is amazing!!! It's somehow not even chibi despite being so small and simplified! I also love the Vilepetals and Gengar's little nubbin of a tail! So... Johto next? Pretty please? This was so much fun in every way!
I had to come back and explain what happened after I watched this video. Literally had only heard the word crochet before, no clue what it meant or how to do it. Since I was a kid I was in LOVE with Pokémon (and all kinds of critters and creatures). When I saw this video I knew I had to watch it because I love custom made plush like things. When I tell you I did not expect to fall down a rabbit hole into a new hobby. I have now made 4 little creatures from her other tutorials and I’m working toward designing some for fun. So this video is a gateway and people should be warned that the cute little critters will trap you haha.
Great work! I have to say the gengar somehow became even more creepy with the large black pupils, instead of just plain red eyes. :D Someday I'd like to be able to make crochet patterns from scratch, so I can make any pokemon I want!
I will never not be impressed by my CZcams recommendation algorithm! I love crochet and Pokémon content, and your video is incredible! Please make more of these videos!
Oh my goodness I LOVE this!! This is such a fantastic idea too! It makes me want to play a randomizer of either the Gen 2 or Gen 5 games and give this a shot myself!
I love this!!! CZcams really found the niche I wanted, pokémon *and* crotchet? Heck yeah!! I love it :D If you do any of the other gens, I'll be watching!
absolutely OBSESSED with your vileplume omg. seeing the way you broke him down into shapes to create the pattern was so amazing i was so confused as to how he was going to be broken down. you're a genius haha i would love to see this concept again for another video!!
Your team is awesome!!! I love that the yarn cake had safety eyes 😂 that’s priceless. Hmm I think I recognize that color technique 😉 Vulpix is my favorite but I’m biased because she’s always my favorite. Great job girl!!!!
I just discovered your channel a couple of weeks ago, but this is already by far my favorite crocheting channel on CZcams. I'm currently designing a Braixen pattern, and this video is such a great inspiration for me!! It's a reminder that every pattern starts from scratch, and that ANYTHING can be made with crochet (and enough patience). Thank you for being awesome! 🧡
Vulpix has been my favorite Pokémon since I can remember! I wasn’t expecting to see her in this video, but what an awesome suprise! She looks so good 🥹
Omg I was recommended your channel from CZcams and I absolutely love all your patterns. But this tops the cake. I have a Charmander tattoo on my arm so I’m all about Gen 1. Can’t wait for you to continue.
This is such a fun idea for a video! I think you should do it again with another Pokémon game. The Vulpix is my favorite. I have been trying the slip stitch technique for neater, straighter stripes but it’s not just the slip stitches. The slip stitch row needs to be in the back loops only AND the next row needs to be in the back loops only if the slip stitches (loose slip stitches are a must!) and I really like how it turns out. It’s so clean!
Ooh thanks for sharing about the slipstitch thing. I did BLO for the row of slipstitches, and then worked the next row as sc, but basically into the same backloops over the top of the slst...maybe I did it wrong XD
Just started my first Nuzlocke | Art-locke Challenge! I'm working with metal as my medium for my sculptures though. Love your art and excited to see more!
They look fantastic. Voltorb was totally worth the newer take, the eyebrows are everything! I must admit the only Pokemon video game I have played is Pokemon Go. That would be a slightly different video. lol
This is a VIBE and I'm down. After finding the more crafty side of youtube, I've been wanting to try out doing something like this, but I want to use an exercise like this to teach myself needle felting. I am inspired! Thank you, ComplicatedKnots.
For the sl stitch and then sc for the "cleaner" finish - I believe it really is worth it for color changes like a SHIRT on a doll... not so much for color changes on pokemon or animals :)
0:18 I know that. Pokémon fire red wasn’t the first Pokémon game I played, but it was my first DS game to ever play. The first Pokémon game I ever played was when I was about 6 or younger I played Nintendo 64 pokesnap. I sucked at the game though and would mostly love watching my big sister play it.
Ok so I love pokemon and don't know anything about crocheting, somehow stumbled upon this video, and it was an absolute delight to watch. You rock. This deserves 1 million views
Your patterns are really beautiful! I am impressed by how real and detailed they look. I hope with enough practice I will be able to design patterns like you. 😊
The handmade Pokémon plushies were amazing. Have no idea how to crochet, just loved watching how they all came together. I really love watching creative art videos regardless of the medium. Keep up the great content been binge watching your other videos.
As someone who has not been brave enough to actually sit and create my own crochet pattern for something like a plushie, I love seeing your process. Also, I heckin' LOVE that you did this with pokemon!
Seen it mentioned in a couple of comments so I thought I'd pin this here: In the interest of transparency, some of this footage was recreated due to technical problems when recording. I need a gengar pattern!!! 😭😭
Magmar is one of my favorites!!! I would love, love love to see it x3
Please please PLEASE!! Do this again! I love this and think it would make a great series just like the "cut up my old patterns and create something new" I love your ideas!!!!❤
I'm glad you liked it, I'd love to do it again :)
@@ComplicatedKnots Pokémon black and white and Pokémon conquest was my first 3 Pokémon games
I agree as well 😊❤
@@loganpeterson1859 thanks
This video really captured what it feels like to be walking through the tall grass in a Pokemon game in a way that no Pokemon video ever has for me
Its stressful!
With minor mods the Articuno pattern would make an adorable Phoenix. i really hope you release all the patterns they are amazing!
Oooh then I could have a Frozen Nugget and a Spicy Nugget!
To add to that, make it thinner and add a long neck and you'd have a Moltrace.
I thought the other way around, i have a phoenix pattern and i thought 'hey i can use it to make articuno' lol
If you want one of these as a pattern, head to my Community tab, I have a poll running right now to see which one people might like!
I'd like 😍😍
Can I vote all? Because they all are amazing.
Vileplume and Gangar for sure
i need those articuno wings pattern, they're perfect!!!!
I vote umbreon eevee
You’ve just created a whole new genre of Pokémon gameplay videos HAHAHAH I love it! Thanks for sharing your talent, that was an amazing video to watch 🥰
Okay but like... I will pay for all of these patterns. I'm a veteran crocheter but haaaaaate the process of puzzling out amigurumi patterns for some of my beloved Pokemon.
There are some official Pokemon crochet books. I got a couple of them but I would also love hers.
Omg i love this!!! Please do this as a series till you've made plushies of all the Pokedex! 😍
That sounds like a lot of fun!
LOVE them all! I thought Articuno was my favorite until I saw how amazing Vileplume turned out. Your design skills are amazing!
Was this a rom version of Fire Red? Boy, I would have loved to get legendary so early in the game.
It was a randomised rom! Once I got over the initial shock of Articuno replacing pidgey I was glad to have her on the team for sure!
“I don’t have the balls in at least two different ways to catch these Pokémon.”
You, my friend, have just won a subscriber. 😂
Hi, my name is Sabrina Griffin, and I am a Pokémon expert. That Articuno you made was MAJESTIC and so so cute at the same time, i'm speechless
That's definitely the cutest Vileplume I've ever seen! Given that I'm a crocheter that watches a ton of pokemon content, youtube should have known to recommend this sooner!!
This video must have taken so much work! And you just dropped it so casually. Thank you for all you do❤
3D mounths are so hard to do, you did awesome! Can't wait to have time to watch the rest❤
Thanks, I was happy with how she turned out!
You gotta do Gen 2 this was sooo good!
Thanks, I'm glad you liked it!
Oh my word, that Articuno is amazing!!! It's somehow not even chibi despite being so small and simplified! I also love the Vilepetals and Gengar's little nubbin of a tail!
So... Johto next? Pretty please? This was so much fun in every way!
11:59 "any time i have to make a piece more than once, it causes me physical pain" i feel that so much lmao
i love how the shirt folds made pikachu grumpy
Thank you for being you! Your creativity and affection for Pokémon made me smile and inspired me to want to do a project like this with my partner.
Really unique idea! Also really smart making it a randomizer so there is an equal chance for every pokemon to appear.
I had to come back and explain what happened after I watched this video.

yessss. my two favorite things - pokemon and crocheting!
You impressed the crap out of us! Me and my wife watched this with takeaway and we loved every minute of it. So wholesome.
Great work! I have to say the gengar somehow became even more creepy with the large black pupils, instead of just plain red eyes. :D Someday I'd like to be able to make crochet patterns from scratch, so I can make any pokemon I want!
This is nothing short of absolutely amazing. You are incredibly talented and patient. I hope to one day get as good as you.
I love vulpix so much. I’ve crocheted a plushie of vulpix sitting down before. Sewing it all together though was really hard.
I am so obsessed with the concept and how easily you whip up your own patterns
Aw I love this idea ! And the fact it was inspired by purplecliffe (one of my favorite CZcamsrs ) you should make more of these videos!
This was fantastic. My almost 5yo loves pokemon and sat and watched the whole thing with me lol.
They're all wonderful but that Vileplume is absolutely precious.
I love this video idea! You definitely fill the niche of nerdy crocheters, of which I'm sure there are a lot!
this was the coolest thing ive seen all year
I will never not be impressed by my CZcams recommendation algorithm! I love crochet and Pokémon content, and your video is incredible! Please make more of these videos!
Oh my goodness I LOVE this!! This is such a fantastic idea too! It makes me want to play a randomizer of either the Gen 2 or Gen 5 games and give this a shot myself!
Do it!!! SO much fun.
I love the Gengar in the thumbnail!!!
How the hell did I only just discover you channel? This is literally everything I live for!!!
This popped up in my recommended, and I'm very glad it did. The Vileplume was very impressive!
That vulpix is so cute, I was so happy you got my favorite gen 1 pokemon. Browser turned out amazing.
She was so nearly a Magmar. I shudder at the thought!
This is such a creative .... maybe i could do a drawing version haha
That would be fun! You could end up with a team portrait!
This is such a cool idea! Imagine a Nuzlocke though, where you have to frog them when they faint... O.o
It would truly begin my villain-phase.
"frog"? ... I don't know what that means, but it doesn't sound good...
"Frog": to unravel. It's called that coz you rip out the stitches, like "rip it"/ribbit 😂
Your team is awesome!!! I love that the yarn cake had safety eyes 😂 that’s priceless.
Hmm I think I recognize that color technique 😉
Vulpix is my favorite but I’m biased because she’s always my favorite.
Great job girl!!!!
this is my favorite pokemon challenge ive ever watched

Never thought I'd watch a crochet video. Let alone one involving pokemon. Great stuff. Very interesting would definitely watch more of this.
Vulpix has been my favorite Pokémon since I can remember! I wasn’t expecting to see her in this video, but what an awesome suprise! She looks so good 🥹
This was so cool! Randomly came upon your vid on suggested and I am in awe with the amount of time and effort you put into this!
This is such a good idea! I wish I came up with it first! Yarn x Pokemon, you may be my new favourite CZcamsr
Omg I was recommended your channel from CZcams and I absolutely love all your patterns. But this tops the cake. I have a Charmander tattoo on my arm so I’m all about Gen 1. Can’t wait for you to continue.
Wow what a pleasant surprise from the algorithm! Soo much talent and charisma. Subscribed!♥️
Vulpix is my favorite pokemon, gengar being a close second! I’m so impressed
I LOVE THIS VIDEO. Your personality is so fun. And I so admire your ability to dream up amigurumi and just bring them to life
This is such a fun idea for a video! I think you should do it again with another Pokémon game. The Vulpix is my favorite.

I love them all but that Vileplume has my heart 😍
Just started my first Nuzlocke | Art-locke Challenge! I'm working with metal as my medium for my sculptures though. Love your art and excited to see more!
so much effort... i think this is the new "most difficult nuzlocke in history"
This video gave me two adorable crotchet plushies of my favorite Pokémon. I love it.
❤ Your whole team is adorable!
And you definitely got your wish to end with a showstopper. I think it turned out the best of them all. 😍
This is one of my favorite videos you've done so far! I just got pokemon violet and I'm tempted to try my own pokemon challenge :D
I don't have Scarlet yet! That's partially why this video happened.
I never thought I would say this but, Vileplume was my favorite.
For the sl stitch and then sc for the "cleaner" finish - I believe it really is worth it for color changes like a SHIRT on a doll... not so much for color changes on pokemon or animals :)
calling articuno basically a penguin was kinda adorable
All your Pokémon turned out so cute!
This combo of randomizer and crochet has earned a sub, need more!
plush vileplume's little face!! they all came out super cute, i think vileplume and articuno are my faves
the details on those wings are v impressive
gengar's itty bitty little hands awwwww
I’m obsessed with the vileplume she’s adorable
LITERALLY 3 of my ever faves right there
That gengar is so cool!
I don’t know how I came across this video but I’m so glad I did
Holy that Articuno is really nice!!!
i love when my worlds collide like this what a great video
This suddenly got recommended to me and I really loved it
Absolutely underrated content. Well done!
Ooh, I'd love to see this going through all of the generations. They're so cute! 🤩
I found the change of colour slip stich a great way to get a nice clear edge 😊
0:18 I know that. Pokémon fire red wasn’t the first Pokémon game I played, but it was my first DS game to ever play. The first Pokémon game I ever played was when I was about 6 or younger I played Nintendo 64 pokesnap. I sucked at the game though and would mostly love watching my big sister play it.
Vulpix is my favorite pokemon! I'm so glad you got to make her and that Btowser turned out so well!❤
This is so underrated, you're so talented!
I love pokemon I see the pattern for all pokemon you make
Ok so I love pokemon and don't know anything about crocheting, somehow stumbled upon this video, and it was an absolute delight to watch. You rock. This deserves 1 million views
Your patterns are really beautiful! I am impressed by how real and detailed they look. I hope with enough practice I will be able to design patterns like you. 😊
the articuno looks incredible
Love it 🤩 please do this again 🙏🏼🙏🏼😍
I actually enjoyed this video.
Was satisfying seeing end result of your pokemon team
THE SQUEALS WERE SO CUTE i always do that too when i come across a pokemon i love HAHA
The handmade Pokémon plushies were amazing. Have no idea how to crochet, just loved watching how they all came together. I really love watching creative art videos regardless of the medium. Keep up the great content been binge watching your other videos.
this is so impressive that you do this by eye! amazing project!
Oooh i might take some inspo with this for some practice at drafting my own patterns
As someone who has not been brave enough to actually sit and create my own crochet pattern for something like a plushie, I love seeing your process. Also, I heckin' LOVE that you did this with pokemon!
Oh I love it. I crocheted some pokemons, but it's not easy to make them.
gen 6 has my favorite pokemon so id love to see this dine again in gen 6
That was cool! You are very talented. I would love to crochet but my hands tend to cramp and lock up when trying out this kind of craft.
you might be the first person ever to be happy to catch a Voltorb instead of a Zapdos.
Also that Vileplume looked amazing! great video!
Math skills AND creative skills?! You're a powerhouse! Love your content and I've only watched two of your videos hahaha.
I LOVE THAT VILEPLUME!!! He's super stinkin cute ;0;
