Hi Guys! Today I want to show you two different balloon floor pumps and give you my thoughts and reviews on each! We're going to talk about the Aircraft pump and the popular Filbert balloon pumps. I love them both, but there's one that I've been using waaaay more than the other and I'll tell you which one in the video!

Great Job !!! Holly, thank you for taking the time to review each unit.
I use the filbert to inflate 160s and 360s all the time. I don't have a problem with putting them on the nozzle or getting a good seal. You can also use the nozzle to break balloons.
A good review --- very fair and honest. I enjoyed it. I personally use and love the Filbert, but it was nice seeing the Aircraft Pump too. Thanks!
Thank you Holly for the review. I have a Filbert pump, and did not know about the aircraft pump,. I will look into it for my next pump, because of the better nozzle, and being able to direct the balloons away from your face.
Can't find the Aircraft anywhere. Did they go out of business??
awesome review holly! I have the filbert pump. i love it so much. it's so light and easy to take to gigs. i have made a few fabric bags to hold special balloons, hair bands and a bundle of sharpies. I don't like that it's not weighted very well. I am thinking of making a snake like sand weight to wrap round the base. when working on grass I have pegged it into the ground using the holes in the base plate. one con is that the base plate has come away from the main body. I am yet to fix but I hope it's not a regular thing. =)
Thanks Holly. The Aircraft does look like a home project. That was my initial impression. OK by me. I think I will go for attempting to make my own.

I cover my pump with heavy duty wrapping paper. I can change it very quick and easy to go with my costume, holiday, or event!!
Thanks, this is very helpful and I would not have found these without this video. I'm getting one of each since I do a lot of sculptures, one for home and one for gigs, ordering the filbert, but as of now they are out of red white and blue tubes so I will wait.
Hi Holly. I used both pumps, I like the nozzle of the Aircraft but i didn't like the balloon going straight out. I prefer staight up to make sure I see how air goes into the balloon. BTW when are you going to do your balloon bag. With so many balloon types, I just can't seem to get them organized when I need them. Thanks!
hello, how long did it take you to recieve your Filbert pump? I ordered mine 2 weeks ago and ive yet to recieve any kind of updates ive emailed him quite a few times with no answer

Thanks Holly. I have the Filbert and really like it. May consider a colorful sand bag that can be velcroed around the base for weight. Looking for a strap to carry it as well.
+callieoops It seemed the Filbert under sized their base. Wider would be more stable. Sand bag would and extra thing to carry.
+Magic .Mark Thanks Magic Mark. I use one of the rolling craft carts for my balloons and accessories and was thinking the "wrap" could easily fit in there and be slapped on the pump at the event. Right now it actually works for me the way it is. I just like to consider all the options. I carry hand pumps as well and usually pre-pump a bunch.
The MacPump Mini is similar to the air pump but shaped like the Filbert. same tip as the Filbert though. Mine fell out the car once and dented the tip, since then 160's fit better. It has a strap similar to the air pump, so I secured it to the pump. Used adhesive-backed Velcro around the top of the pump and another piece of Velcro to secure it. Cost was about more than $110 at the time (2009).
I love my Aircraft. To protect the nozzle I took the cap from a slant tip marker. drilled 2 holes at the top sides, and tied rope elastic to each side forming a loop. Put the cap over the nozzle, and stretch the elastic over the head. No more damage in transporting.

I have the filbert and I like it for some of the same reasons you like the aircraft. I don't want my balloons to point toward my line or audience. If the balloon is going to pop or get away from me I want it to go my way and protect the crowd. I also like that I can hold the portion of the balloon I want to keep uninflated and inflate the rest of the balloon straight up to my hand. It's hard to do that with the balloon inflating away from you! Good review, I enjoyed it!
+belleque Good point on which direction to inflate a balloon! Until you pointed it out, I hadn't realized I was doing just that- actually holding the balloon at the point that I wanted to stop inflating. Good reason to keep it pointed straight up!

Maybe you could have shown each one blow up a balloon. I never have used a pump so would have liked to see them work.
Also if you are aiming at a child, yes they think it is cool but there is a risk it pops in THEIR face. (by mouth or pump) .

Great reviews Holly! I have a filbert, but I believe the washer has gone on it and the top cap has got airline cracks on it, I believe due to the fact that this annoying kid was banging it like crazy with a bat I believe. Anyway, that said, eventually I will order another filbert pump. I did have a carpenter friend of mine carve a piece of mdf wood and painted it red for me. He then attached it to the base of the filbert, so that it stays stood up pretty sturdy and the piece of mdf wood was carved exactly the same as the base of the filbert. That might be a way around it for you holly. I also had a dressmaker make me a bag for my filbert. The material she made it with is super thick, but it has two arm straps. It looks a bit like a bag for a rocket launcher lol!!!! Seriously though, it protects my filbert pump. The only thing now is to figure out what colours I fancy. On my current filbert, which I will throw away, the colours are base: blue big tube: yellow handles: blue thin tube: pink disk: teal top cap: red. Finally, the two things I like most about the filbert is that it's a pump that draws people to you and you can stick the balloons through the holes, when you're making a multiple balloon design. Also, whenever I get to a gig, I have different coloured balloons sticking out of all the holes, so it has a rainbow effect lol!!!!đ

+videosfromalysi I have a home-made version floor pump, made from white PVC, that I wrapped in colorful party wrapping paper! It looks cool, and I've even got comments on the "neat pump". You can easily find wrapping paper with Balloon designs in the right width.

Aloha ! I would love to get your feedback on the topnotch floor pump TN01, quite expensive from Australia/UK. And also I kept trying to go on the Air Craft pump site but it seems to be disabled. Do you know anything about that? And for 2017 what recommendation would you give today on floor pumps? I appreciate ALL your videos; your fantastic and so talented !
