- Welcome back to Ring Pull Paul Metal Detecting UK 2024. In this episode we travel to Tamworth in Staffordshire Metal Detecting with Three Spires Metal Detecting. I take Jack with me and he finds his first ever medieval silver hammered coin. Also alot of other good finds was found that day too!
After that you join me on my own permission in Staffordshire where things get exciting. I managed to unearth part of a scattered hoard of Richard 1st short cross pennys and also find a Charles 1st hammered coin too. This is why we go metal detecting when you have days like this. Using the trusty Minelab Manticore it's been working wonders for me on my pasture permission. Make sure you like and subscribe so you don't miss any content.

But yes, re: Pinpointers - def. loving my Garrett Carrot AT/Pro. The 'tune feature' is brilliant, (if you've not come across it?). So, you can switch back to 'maximum range' (when the target's out of the hole), so those little coins would 'Ding' nice and loud when searchin' thru the spoil/clod... Anyways, great video mate, and best o' luck on Saturday... Bobby 🐭
Thanks mate I've not had many short crosses to be honest. Most are usually long crosses when I find them. I'm getting a Garrett carrot again tomorrow as I used to have one before but lost it. It's annoying taking ages to find small targets with the pinpointer I've got now.
@@RingPullPaulMetalDetecting Yeah, I didn't like to say mate - but that P/p seems 'bobbins!' 🤣 Try an' get the Carrot AT if you can mate... (I'm sure you know this anyway!...). Absol. love my one - the 'tune' feature is immense!... But yeah, them Short-Crosses are lovely eh mate? - I guess they tend to be older, which might explain why they're rarer, I guess? Anyways take care bud - and hope the D-Gods are watchin' ya on Saturday!... ;). B 🤓
@@UkuleleBobbyKemp Yeah I did used to have one but lost it somewhere lol. The only other pointer I liked was the mi6 when I could connect it to my orx and adjust all the settings on the detector. But I don't think you can beat the carrot really. Thanks mate will let you know how I get on. 😀
@@RingPullPaulMetalDetecting Yeah, I think evry1 is different with pinpointers really mate... I actually like the carrot's sound *Not* coming thru my headphones... I can't think of anything friggin' worse, (after all that swingin' & critical listening!!...). Cheers bud... 🙏

Great video Paul , if you get a new pinpionter mate try the new accupiont by Nokta it's amazing it has a separate ferrous tone to none ferrous
