If they aren’t shrink-to-fit, they aren’t 501s. Naturally, this eliminates any stretch jeans.
These are just stretchy Levi’s with a button fly.

I have just purchased a number of pairs of old 501s, from a vintage store.......and they look better than the new versions, and are more robust. The ones l have got are wider around the ankle, and they overlap my shoes smartly, and are good fitting, without being overly tight. The worse thing about most of todays jeans, of all brands is: they make them to narrow around the ankle......thus they don,t fit smartly over shoes, and bunch up looking scruffy.
Same experience here... Too narrow... Make it uncomfortable...
Those 501 ® jeans are of the 'stretch' variety as the tag stated. If they were normal 501® jeans , you would have been hard pressed to fit into them (unless they were unwashed Shrink to Fit of course); and no, those jeans will not shrink 10% by any means. They more than likely might shrink a little (if washed in hot water with a full load of clothes), but will quickly bounce back to form and even waist size.

Is this variation very stretchy?
Not that it matters but Levi’s do not make jeans with blue rivets, and the card label on the back is wrong, but I think you already know that these are counterfeit.

Hate the rivets on those jeans, like the original much better
I don't understand the repeated use of the phrase "original fit." The rivets are the wrong color to be classified as original. The flexibility and fake wear lines of these 501s make me think these are preshrunk 501s. So I wouldn't expect them to shrink 10% on washing. If they did they would be a very very small 27x27.
There are different types of Levi's 501 jeans:
1) 501 Orginal fit: (a) Stretch with 1% elastane. This kinda feels like a slim fit at thighs with straight leg, modern 501 style. (b) 100% cotton with no elastane. Original straight leg jeans.
2) 501 Original Shrink to fit.
3) LVC 1947 501 fit
4) 501 1954 fit
5) 501 1993 fit.
All these 501 jeans have different fits.
What is better the stretch version or the normal version

I have 2 pcs for 501, bought at official store at expensive mall... with discount price as if there no discount it will long time to think buy 😁... but all of them was 5 button + 1 the main button...

That’s the shrink to fit version. You can still get them. They are wonderful.
