- In this adventure the wife and I headed to the Ozark National Forest next to the Mulberry river to enjoy a peaceful weekend. But something has changed! We no longer will have a rooftop tent! This video will be the last time you see the tent on the truck. We have switched to a gazelle T4 Overland edition, ground tent.

After watching this video several times now, i decided to go with the gazelle overland tent and not a heavy roof top. I go to colorado many times a summer and the weight and wind drag would kill my mpg on my gladiator. This year planning arkansas, wyoming and colorado. I live in kansas right in the middle of it.

The music is awesome. We were just tent camping this past weekend in the snow/rain and a nice feature of the Gazelle is the pitch on the roof does not accumulate snow like my Oztent does.The Oztent is much warmer due to no screens in the rooftop, though. My next tent will be the t4 in Orange like yours.

Been camping in a gazelle a couple years now and we love it, we use a queen air mattress with the built in battery inflator, we still have room on each, doors on both sides and super easy set up just a great tent 👌
This town is definitely a game changer. We just found out the cots that we ordered are too big for the tent so we’re looking for a different solution.
@@FastRackOverland I'll never go back from my air mattress, it's tall so easy to get out of, you can sit on the edge and not fold in, if it starts to drop air it automatically kicks on, feels like sleeping in a regular bed, only 90 bucks at Walmart, I'm going to try the gazelle gazebo next 🤙

Great video. I'm digging the tent. I have the green Gazelle T3 I use on my pontoon boat while camping on the lake. It fits perfectly on my boats deck. Chili looked delicious.

Really enjoyed watching this, your video work and song choices are great! Your wife has a great sense of humor and it’s awesome that you can do these things together. Love the fire starter, lol, and I hear you about the sunglasses thing, I do short videos to recap my hiking outings but I usually cut any talking I do since it appears as though I’m looking past the viewer when talking to them - It’s hard to remember to look into the lens! Oh, and I ground camp and have cots and memory foam mattresses - I decided that since I turned 68 this year I’m not sleeping on the ground anymore! Take care, I look forward to your next adventure!

How long did it take you to put the tent fly on before you realized the roof has to be down and the hooks un hooked when you put the fly on? If you want to keep it warmer inside, take a blanket and put it over the bug netting on the roof of the tent before putting the fly on. It will hold in the heat. Also, if you’re setting it up by yourself loosely stake out the four corners it will help with pulling each panel out. You’re not pulling the whole tent with you. After you get each side popped, then you can re-stake it. I used mine two weeks ago in 26° lows with my buddy heater on low and woke up to 73° temperature inside. Keep up the great videos!
I think 🤔 the 3rd time I put it up I was like this can’t be right. 🤣😂 I’m definitely going to use a blanket on top to hold more heat in. Thanks for educating me. 👊🏼 So glad I can make videos better than putting up the worlds easiest tent. 🤓

Hey Buddy are you getting more like me and realizing I can not ruff it like I use to? As I get older (I'm 67) I enjoy the comforts more than ruffing it. But still enjoy the outdoors. Keep on overlanding and sleep how ever it is more comfortable for you and film the outdoors for us to enjoy!

The wife and I made the switch to the t4, then the t6 overland in green... no more climbing up on top of our 95 bronco!

@@FastRackOverland I am. I found only one flaw on the t4. the rainfly covers the tent seams, but they can leak because of ther guyline (water goes downhill, lol) it's an easy fix with 8 inches of cordage. let me know if you want more info.
We use rooftop tents for safety reasons. Lions, hyenas, leopards etc. can be a problem on the ground.

Took my wife camping in a tent with no cot or pads on our honeymoon in 1987. She made me buy a pop up after that because she said she was never sleeping on the ground again lol😂we now have a 32 foot trailer

I want to overland and grill also but I'm scared of bears or mountain lions coming, you've never encountered them coming around from cooking?
Here in Arkansas not a problem at all!! So far the only time I see bears is when I’m driving and they’re hauling butt away from me mountain lions never seen one.

It sure is and I absolutely love this pan. so much in fact, I’m about to buy the wife the whole set.

Vevor I bought off E bay and I absolutely love this thing. I bought it on sale for $110 including shipping. I think it’s 150 now.
KRIS!!! First things first! It is so good to see Mary out with you! I really hope that the tent helps her to be more comfortable and that she comes along with you more. NEXT! I am always amazed at how your skills just keep improving. I realize some of it is upgrading your equipment and also recognize that your skill and talent keep improving too. There are only a few things that I see you need to do so that you fit the YT algorithm better and then do some marketing things to push your channel and you should grow your channel like crazy! I also realize, I have no idea of exactly what your goals are. My real goal in this comment is to let you know that I think you are doing an amazing thing showing off what your skills and talent are capable of. Keep it up, doing it the way you want to do it. Set your own goals and go after what you want to accomplish!!!! Don't forget to have a lot of fun while you are doing it!!!
