The hadith tells to avoid the face it doesn't say, it's impermissible or forbidden, just because it looks brutal to see face hitting doesn't mean its haram, It's makruh at most Haram it's a strong word for a thing such as "avoid hitting the face". Also there's not much context on this statement by the Prophet, there's cases where you should defend yourself and competing in MMA is useful to understand which techniques and things actually work, without this people would go to those so called "self defense dojos" using dumb techniques that will end up not working giving you false hope and you'd end up severely injured or killed.
Us Muslims we love Muhammad Ali for his character and piety. Alhamdulilah, he retired and continued to praise Allah SWT. Now, he will be in the hands of Allah SWT, may Brother Muhammad Ali be ranked at the highest levels of Jannah).
Shukran... but why do i feel more clarity is needed. How do we engage when in battle? Or are we referring to civil issues like two people that land up in a brawl? I am not understanding this clearly.
No, they say it is a sin to strike the face during real combat too. The effeminate scholars wouldn't be doing that though, they prefer to say what's wrong and right from the comfort of their arm chair.
I think there's decapitation stuff going on during first 3 Islamic war, compared to head punching, as long as it's not a form of torture it should be alright.
That's why I don't get why people participate in sports where they hurt each other by hitting their faces/heads knowing that it would cause permanent damage, disability, and even death...what is the purpose of that? Trying to be "tough" or "show off" that they're the best in sport? It's unnecessary and a waste of time/investment, not worth it. Shame on people who loves to watch and pay for it it's like the history where gladiators fight. Alhamdulillah for Islam.
So hitting the face is not permitted in boxing/martial arts competition, but it is allowed (according to some scholars) in the real world as self defense? I'm confused, did I interpret that correctly?
@@jeffbezos61 so it means the competition are haram not the boxing, bcos it's allowed hitting while training for self-defense., The scholars must say competition of any martial art are haram bcos it's like gambling.
@@nowiknow1120That’s not true. Hitting the face is prohibited, even while training/sparring. There are permissible martial arts someone could learn, like Wrestling, etc.
Thats what im saying for 15 years. Thats why Muhammad Ali had to suffer parkinson, because Allah wanted to purify him for a high rank in Jannah. Inshallah.
I'll tell you this if someone means harm to you. They will be hitting you in the face. Or at least trying too. And if you've never felt that before there is no way you would be prepared for that encounter.
@Rob-Otter depends. Most scholars have never been in fight gyms. I can agree that becoming a professional and doing it for a living is haram. But doing it as a hobby and self defense should be fine. Modern MMA and boxing gyms are way different than years ago. Head hunting during sparring/going hard etc. Is very frowned upon and gets people kicked out of the gym. You decide how hard you want your opponent to go based on your goals and you let them know
Narrated Jabir bin `Abdullah: The Prophet said, "Every Prophet used to be sent to his nation only but I have been sent to all mankind." (Sahih al-Bukhari 335)
All desi parents need to watch this before having kids and all parents need to watch this when trying to justify and defend themself for hitting their kids in the head and face.
Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: *When any one of you fights with his brother, he should not slap at the face.* (Sahih Muslim 2612d)
Is this exempt in situations of self defense, where say, someone who is bigger is trying to harm a woman, and the best defense to get away is to harm his face, I would presume there would be exceptions for such cases…?
Its very sad. We have alot of brothers now competing in these sports and earning haram income. I was doing MMa at a Muslim club for about two years and I can tell you that I have seen practicing brothers with big beards let there egos get out of control and start punching each other hard on the face. I can understand the training element but punching each other on the face is a massive no and the Quran/Sunnah guidelines must he adhered to. It would be better to stick to wrestling or judo and even BJJ.
WHen zakir naik says training for self defence does that mean only only punching bags or hitting head while sparring. And if the answer was the first( punching bag), is body sparring OK as noone ever get hurt just winded in most cases
I also practice martial arts to be fit and loose weight and to protect myself if someone tries to attack or hurt me and protecting my family or friends against someone who causes problems and troubles by being violent Martial arts should be practiced for self-defense only not for money not for amusement not for entertainment and not for any other bad way or things i am a Muslim Alhamdulillah it's a very bad thing and indeed haram to practice martial arts and deliberately deliver punches to your opponent inflicting pain to him or her and causing permanent brain damage to your opponent or maybe receiving punches from your opponent and end up on a wheelchair or being paralyzed yourself. The three sports that are better for us all is jogging, swimming, and even wrestle because it gives you a lot of stamina and is much better for your health and breath fresh and clean air when you run outside when I was 14 years younger i used to swim a lot i was very tired when I was back home but I was tired in a good way it made me healthier and fit and even less sick because when you 🏊 you also use your whole body in water plus our Prophet did all three of them and we should follow our beloved Prophet Muhammad S.A.W advice.
So if i box and manage to fight with only light body shots then is it permitted? Like by only stacking up the points and trying my best to not hurt my opponents, it might be difficult but not impossible right ? someone please let me know that
@Rob-Otter I can definitely box as I do believe that I have a natural talent on it but still thanks for the information brother! I will definitely take your advice to heart, and I will try to transition fron boxing to wrestling. Much love brother stay safe and halal may Allah swt bless you and your family
I dont consider it Haram. The Hadith speaking of not hitting doesn't apply to this at all from what I understand. I have a clear and solid explanation for it, but since I'm not a scholar I better keep it to myself. Talking about injuries, just Google it and see which sport has most death and injuries. Boxing will be somewhere in the last of list. While the sports which are actually considered halal are at the top of the list. So, that argument is totally invalid
It is also important to learn martial arts and other fighting skills for self protection because you can fall in danger at any moments i mean what if some robbers or bullies or gangster come to harm you. Besides all sahabas were fighters, they used to fight in war and Prophet Muhammad pbuh fought over 500 wars even in his old age. But now a days muslims are too weak in fighting, economics, politics, power etc which is totally dissapointing. Its a shame for us muslims come on wake up we used to rule the world in the past.
I was learning how to box. I had stopped for a reason and this reason is have the point that people bring when saying boxing/mma is haram are: Muslims is to do no harm to their own body and Hitting the face.
As Muslim i like martial arts. I learn 4 martial arts, they are Taekwondo, Muay Thai, Pencak Silat, and Aikido. They're good for self defense and if i want to join for competition, i choose Pencak Silat, why? Because Pencak Silat fight has rules that you can do some grappling and hit like punch or kick only at bodies and for hitting head and lower body it's prohibited during fight competition and sparring.
So how would you go about learning self defence? I assume training for self defence is not haram just monetizing it or doing it recreationally
Its really hard to accept the truth
Us Muslims we love Muhammad Ali for his character and piety. Alhamdulilah, he retired and continued to praise Allah SWT. Now, he will be in the hands of Allah SWT, may Brother Muhammad Ali be ranked at the highest levels of Jannah).
Muhammad Ali was the greatest boxer out of all boxers, Alhumdulilah.
Shukran... but why do i feel more clarity is needed.
If self defense or while in war. Is it allowed to punch face? It would end fight faster. Correct me if I am wrong.
Yes in self defense you have to protect yourself. So in that scenario hitting the face is allowed .
@@jeffbezos61 so it means the competition are haram not the boxing, bcos it's allowed hitting while training for self-defense., The scholars must say competition of any martial art are haram bcos it's like gambling.
@@Rob-Otteryes for self defense you can even kill the attacker because it was emergency.
@@nowiknow1120That’s not true. Hitting the face is prohibited, even while training/sparring. There are permissible martial arts someone could learn, like Wrestling, etc.
How about the solar plexus, the manhood or liver?
Im training in Muay Thai strictly for self defense reasons. I knew this which is why i have no intention of competing in muay thai
If you are training to compete you can still compete in grappling martial arts like jiu jitsu
Thats what im saying for 15 years. Thats why Muhammad Ali had to suffer parkinson, because Allah wanted to purify him for a high rank in Jannah. Inshallah.
So who is giving khabib Islam advice ? So he's all of the money he's eating is Haram ? Dayum.
How we should learn self defence except boxing
Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying:
*When any one of you fights with his brother, he should not slap at the face.*
(Sahih Muslim 2612d)
Brother would only imply Muslims
Non-Muslims arent brothers so its permissible 😮
@@hazemaster007
But there should be some reason. It's not like you just go to any non Muslim guy and hit on face.
Do what does Habib have to say about this ?
He takes Islam very seriously 😮
Ma sha Allah. Alhamdulillah. Allahu akbar.
Is it allowed to hit the face during a war?
I’ve always had a feeling it was haram.
Is this exempt in situations of self defense, where say, someone who is bigger is trying to harm a woman, and the best defense to get away is to harm his face, I would presume there would be exceptions for such cases…?
That why traditional martial art like silat and karate don't hit the face
Muhammad Ali everyone...?? May Allah grant him jannah.
Perhaps he didn't know.
Ameen!

Look what it cost him he died because of it
Its very sad.
Im a muslim security guard if i used self defense i would take the person to the ground unless fists are needed
My mom hit me right on my nose as I was 3-4 years, then blood flew out my nose.
Asslamualaikum
Wa Alaikum Salam
WHen zakir naik says training for self defence does that mean only only punching bags or hitting head while sparring.
And if the answer was the first( punching bag), is body sparring OK as noone ever get hurt just winded in most cases
Something I never knew
Getting hit on face especially nose is the worst thing every man can get while fighting. You are literally stunned irl like in video games
@turkishGhaz nah dawg, I just realized how stupid that is😅 my bad man, my bad
@Sheriff1418 yes, you are right
@turkishGhaz yep
Asian parents left the chat
It is also important to learn martial arts and other fighting skills for self protection because you can fall in danger at any moments i mean what if some robbers or bullies or gangster come to harm you. Besides all sahabas were fighters, they used to fight in war and Prophet Muhammad pbuh fought over 500 wars even in his old age. But now a days muslims are too weak in fighting, economics, politics, power etc which is totally dissapointing. Its a shame for us muslims come on wake up we used to rule the world in the past.
Asalamualaikum
@@ChaosExists how are you
I don’t like boxing it’s stupid …. True what our brothers are saying ❤
I was learning how to box. I had stopped for a reason and this reason is have the point that people bring when saying boxing/mma is haram are: Muslims is to do no harm to their own body and Hitting the face.
JAZAKALLAH
I prefer body spar only. That's far better i think
May Allah bless you 🙏
It seems like the owner of this video doesn't even care what kind of adds are being advertised. Nobody walk the talk.
yes only Ebrahimi is a true Muslim
Of course he said that! That's the rule of wrestling!!
If he say don't eat during Ramadan are you going to say eating is haram in any situation?
Sometimes you just have to slap the fool

Learn it for the SELF DEFENSE, BOYS! Go out there and LEARN, you'll find discipline in yourself. May god forbid, if you are caught in a mugging situation, you would know what to do. If you see a GUN, comply with the criminals no matter what BUT, if it is hand on hand, you would be thankful for this.
Plz any one accrodingly to islamic law help me plz im still dont know to continue my MMA or not ?
Becoz only one doubt i have when its war everything is allow so same in a MMA match its a war both fighters ready to go whats about this ?????? My mind running out help me any one plz make me or break me
MMA isn’t war, you are not trying to kill the person. War is about killing people and ending a load of lives so one wins, in MMA it’s a sport which people do for money and fame. If one wants to practice boxing then it’s fine, as long as there’s no sparring at all or any fights. Just using a boxing bag. MMA is haram no matter what people say, try wrestling. Wrestling was done by the best of the ummah, it’s better for you in terms of good deeds and is good in tackling people both defensive and offensive.

Violent sports are haram in Islam as entertainment, as we are the only civilized people on earth.

what about all these famous muslim combat athletes like Khabib, Ali, Makhachev, Chimaev? Are they sinning by entering the octagon?
All sins are forgiven for those who accept Islam.
Qur'an 8:38. Say to those who have disbelieved [that] if they cease, what has previously occurred will be forgiven for them.
‘Amr ibn al-‘As reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Do you not know that embracing Islam wipes away all sins committed before it, that emigration wipes away what came before it, and the Hajj pilgrimage wipes away what came before it?”
Sahih Muslim 121
Khabib did that

Wrong don’t make a right brother, I still understand you tho
Most muslim fighters have a wrestling base and get into MMA because there's not much money in wrestling. Khabib himself said it is haram and that's why he tried to wrestle more in his fights and tried to avoid hitting his opponents (examples - Michael Johnson fight he asked him to give up & didn't break his arm; & he didn't break Justin's arm and didn't do Ground n Pound and submitted Justin Gaethje).
So only because one is poor they can do haram things? Let’s say I’m poor does it make it right for med to deal drugs?
Please learn to read properly before speaking or writing anything, don't embarrass yourself like an idiot, when did i say it's right ? I also quoted Khabib, who said it's haram to hit face.
And why do you want to deal in drugs ? Dealing in drugs will lead to destruction of other people and their families, it's not just your personal sin. @@SS-tx7of
