My LG C2 just did this 2 nights ago and I contacted support, and instructed me to do what this video did. This steps didn't work, and thankfully the tv is still under warranty. I have a technician come out, to check it himself.

Okay. I have a different problem, and can't find a single video telling me how to fix it permanently. So, i go to turn on my TV and the red light turns off as normal, but then the light stays off, preventing me from turning on the TV. So i unplug the power cord at both ends, plug it back in, the TV pulses the red light, and then one of 3 things happens. Either the light comes back on and i'm able to turn on the TV, the light comes back on but the light goes back off as soon as i press the power button on the remote, or the light doesn't come back on. By the way, the model number of the TV is 49LJ510M-UB, if it helps.

Gorrila tape works wonders. You just peel off a slice and gently place it over the red light. Problem solved. 😉

It's the led light strips. Either you need to test with a led tester each strip and individual led if necessary. Then solder a the broken or dim ones, and/or just replace the entire strip without soldering.
