Coach Nick, a quick question, When shooting, should your fingers end pointing downwards or forwards? Most shooters seem to do the "hand in the cookie jar" motion, meaning, fingers end in a downward position after the ball leaves their hand. However, some players, such as the great Michael Jordan, for the most part, dont actually follow through into a downward motion, their fingers stay pointing forward. Is there a better way of shooting, or does it just come down to how you feel and if you can make it consistent with any given motion, then just stay with it? Cheers.
my hunch Book is what you said in ur last few statements. . .i'd say do what's natural altho tbh i haven't researched it nor have i really thought about what my fingertips have been doing at the end of my shot so long as they were just pointing towards the hoop. but now uve got me curious. . .
More content please.
