Synopsis:
Squadron Leader Veer Pratap Singh (Shah Rukh Khan) is a rescue pilot with the Indian Air Force. In the line of duty he comes across a stranded Zaara (Preity Zinta)... a girl from Pakistan who has come to India to fulfill her surrogate mothers dying wish. Veer saves her life and his life is never the same again.
Twenty two years later Saamia Siddiqui (Rani Mukerji), a Pakistani human rights lawyer on her first case, finds herself face to face with an aging Veer Pratap Singh. He has languished in a Pakistan jail cell for 22 years and has not spoken to anyone all these years. And no one knows why. Preity has acted in this scene so brilliantly... She looks very natural and innocent.... The deliberation of the dialogues are also fantastic. I miss Preity in Bollywood... She is such a wonderful actress but sadly, underrated

Har Dil Jo Pyaar Karega, Chori Chori Chupke Chupke, Veer-Zaara and Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna... I found Preity's role more better and amazing in all these movies, only enjoyed these movies cuz of her, not cuz of Rani, but Rani was always getting the "love" and attention from Bollywood people, its nepotism..... Still can't belive Rani won best actress award for Hum Tum in 2004, same year which Preity played Zaara in this lovely film
