As dev mentioned in the video, you may be very poor, but if you have tried your best to do a few things in your life so far, and studied well, You can research on the internet about US unit/ any other Country and apply, you will get a chance to go there. They are sensible too, and would never even allow you to apply if you don't prove you can pay the fee/could be eligible for a scholarship. Literally many pay 2-3L per year to study here, when if you do some good research you can be stuyding in the US for the same amount, or lesser. The world is Changing, your thoughts are outdated, please catch up.

I'm not going to go into details but they CAN'T manage on their own. I'm bound by the responsibility that I have to take care of my family. Besides, some people don't have supportive parents. A lot of middle class families will be strictly against the idea of going to a different country for education, even if you tell them you'll manage the finances. They won't let you go. It's also not as easy to obtain money as you make it sound. A single ticket costs 20-30k. That's actually a lot of money if you're from a middle class family, and I haven't researched this but I don't think your scholarship money pays off your tickets. You can work and save money for tickets, that is possible. Difficult though. It would be a dumb argument but you may argue that even with all these problems one can still go. I agree, it's not impossible but surely very very difficult. But someone who was richer and had supporting parents and doesn't need to work in abroad to manage daily expenses is going to have a much much much easier life. THAT is the privilege.

Also the visa that you get in limited to student visa. US also goes by the rule that if u are a migrant and if u aren't able to get a job within two months after ur bachelor's u will just have to leave the country. In short there are many restrictions and more of serious cons than the pros
ikr you dont even have to give any specific test to get into the major of your choice and its better too, like why are we grinding our asses just for mediocrity at the end?

I love how chill this video is but at the same time he states a lot of important stuff and kinda hyped me up and I am taking this as a sign that I should really do something I genuinely love instead of doing something "safe" . I am gonna be graduating next year with a degree in psychology and I just don't think the cliche path is my thing. I don't think I am mature enough to be a clinical psychologist or a counselor and work with human emotions or just do an MBA and work as an HR ( it's a big commitment .. one fuck up .. one wrong word and it can trigger so much ) but at the same time, I have always been surrounded by doctors and engineers so I always lowkey wanted to do something related to healing but it suddenly changed during this lockdown and I had such a tough time accepting it. I got to know so much and one of the main things I got to know was how freaking crazy I go when a job I am given doesn't require anything creative.. trust me I cried at night a few days back and was like "fuck this creativity" because I was a bit afraid to take something challenging and let's be honest, the Indian education system doesn't support "creative student" .. at least mine didn't. so here I am learning a new language,taking a UX/UI designing course, always been interested in video editing so refining my skills, planning on starting coding and I love every bit of it, actually, the whole artificial intelligence and how neuropsychology helps a lot in such stuff gets me going. oh and I would also like to do something with music and neuropsychology. also are the doors closed for being a healer and work in a hospital? the answer is A BIG NO. I might do it when I will be 40 and have more insight and be more mature ..not afraid to change my career path. I am genuinely glad lockdown happened because it gave me so much time to think about what I want to do, I joined LinkedIn and got in touch with a lot of people who were clinical psychologists, learned about the working of the whole mental health system in this country ( and damn it's fucked up .. unbelievably fucked up) but because of this whole meeting and talking to people .. this whole process of learning about myself actually made me realize that I am not someone who can just be happy while doing something. anyways this got a bit too long can't wait to see his future videos because the quality will just be getting better for sure!
