Peter, SA is by far the MOST unequal country on planet earth. The WHITE MAN came, settled and took over ALL THE WEALTH and ALL THE LAND, thereby for centuries leaving the OVERALL BLACK MAJORITY(90%) in utter destitute and utter poverty. The IDEA that this issue can ONLY be fixed by so to speak 'more of the same', that is: letting the market grow and do it's work has really NO LEGS to stand on. I'll make it very easy for you: name me ONE country who has managed to overcome poverty by letting the markets do the talking. But AI can give you ample examples of the opposite: COLOMBIA: run by FIVE families; the DOMINICAN REPUBLIC: run by SEVEN families. PANAMA: run by EIGHT families. I could go on and one.
