Gerry was there before the Beatles, he was the early superstar in the making, handsome and honest always. No one will ever forget Gerry Marsden.
Gerry is an absolute Legend. His voice was extroidinary. Such handsome Boy next Door Good Looks. RIP Gerry. You'll never walk alone.
I was lucky enough to see that tour, meeting the Searchers, and loaning them our amps.
Yep! Awesome, loved the video ! Music is the best invention of mankind isn't it? I'm so chuffed to be a musician!
RIP Gerry and Freddie.
Loved these bands
When I first saw this I missed John's comment about the Monkees. That was a fun tour. I caught the show at a sold out Massey Hall in Toronto and it really was superb in all respects.
@rcpinsa Thanks for sharing this with us, Roy!! There could never be better music than the British Invasion...when the Beatles arrived, I was never a lonely kid again after all the wonderful UK music that followed. It's cool to see this clip with the 'original' Searchers we saw on Sullivan -- Mike, John, Chris and Tony! John looked awesome here, confident and his favorite song is Needles! YES! I hope he will always want to keep their music keeping on! Cheri/CCF :-)
Thank you for putting this up. The song with the Searchers is Suger and Spice.
Fantastic
sorry I missed this tour .Loved the British Invasion but I was 12 years old and could not get to any of the concerts at the time. Would have enjoyed seeing these groups live.
Thank you for putting this up.
thanks for this
Saw Hermans Hermits in 2011 and they (he) is still great.
A group called the Cryin' Shames did Sugar and Spice, too
Who was the lovely interviewer?
muy buenos
Richard, Do you have any funny behind the scene stories? Wild and crazy guys?
Freddie Garrtity has been in four films, one playing the lead role, plus he was in a kids tv show.
Mostly forgotten and never shown, if you'd seen any of his work you'd understand why
Actually Freddie and The Dreamers were in 5 films during the 60s: What A Crazy World, Just For You (US title: Disk-O-Tek Holiday), Every Day’s A Holiday (US title: Seaside Swingers), Out Of Sight, Cuckoo Patrol.
Whats the song that The Searchers are singing???
Nairegui (Letlev's Music) sugar and spice
Peacemakers. LOL
Freddie Garrity used to scare me when I was a kid.
He reminded me of Peter Sellers here. They both had similar glasses.
i loved the british invasion & it's in my blood
Its not rock and rpll or rock bands they are pop groups singing pop songs.
