  • I decided to make this video to explain the process of this swap and all the parts needed to do one. I explain some of the problems I encountered throughout the build and give some tips to make the process easier.
    hope you enjoyed.
    1)mk3 vr6 subframe
    2)I used mk2 stock crossmember and rad support
    3)vr6 aaa engine
    4)02j trans
    5)mk3 gti power steering pump with mk2 pulley
    6)mk3 wiring harness 0bd2
    7)Corrado coolant hoses with rad
    8)spal dual slim fans with aluminum shroud
    9)mk3 pedal box but you're better off with b3 Passat
    10)mk3 vr6 cluster

    Hello! Do you have a wiring diagram of the essentially to start outside the engine bay a obd1 AAA VR6?
    I have fuse/relay box, original harness and ECU bosch.
    Need help to eliminate all wires/relays/connector and then simplify the complete harness to make work the engine.
    Want to swap it in a old scirocco.
    Thanks!

I did the advice that you answer, use the mk3 fuze box and the gasoline tank with pump. Easy and was ready in couple of weeks. To sound little bit aggressive I put a vr6 leistritz 😀

    Hey just watched your video and want to ask a few questions if it's okay.
    I have a 1991 MK2 jetta and want to do a AAA 12V VR6 with 02J (similar to yours) but was wondering if a standard MK3 K-frame would work and then just using VR6 rear engine mount and VR6 gearbox mount with it? Also want to know the front engine/gearbox mount are you using VR6 mount or standers MK2 mount as well as what front frame are you using (MK3 VR6/ standard MK2 or Passat B4 VR6)? Thank you.

    • @R2MK2VR6
      @R2MK2VR6  Před 3 lety +1

      Hey ! Thanks for reaching out ! So my subframe if off a mk3 vr6 GTI
      Trans mount aswell
      Front kframe is still the original from my mk2. I am not 100% sure if the mk3 would fit but I do know the Passat b3 also Corrado vr6 would aswell.
      If I had about more coin to spend I would go for the fabless one .
      If you have trouble to locate the parts . Eurowise has a whole lot for vr6 swap with all original mk2 subframe and kframe

    • @R2MK2VR6
      @R2MK2VR6  Před 3 lety +1

      I did not cut anything ! Surprisingly. Also the cranks pulley has a sleeve that you will have to burn off so it passes your frame when you put your engine in . All this so you don't have to hit your frame !

I also have an 02M 6speed transmission that’s rebuilt. I know the 1990’s and up have the CE2 fuse boxes. Do you have the wiring diagram for the 3.2L? It’s from a 2008 A3
