Can I use the water that was used to cycle the rocks in my tank? Sorry. Newbie here

Few weeks yo a month if you're just trying to get a bacteria foundation going. Normal cycling time/guidelines apply.
Why not just cycle the rock inside the tank?
Could be cause hes rescaping his old tank. Removing the old rocks and replacing it with new rocks.
