How to Play Steam Shared Games or Account While Owner's Using them

Here's a quick video on how to play steam games offline from a shared library or a friend's account on Windows. This trick will allow you to play games while your friend is online or playing the same game.

Thanks for this video, very helpful! Any idea on why the batch files wouldn't be disabling the rule? I have it all written out correctly, but when i run the batch file, steam still doesn't have connection, and i have to disable it through the firewall page manually.

Its not working, do i run it with steam closed or with it open? Ive tried both and it foesnt seem to do anything, i can still acces the store amd search festures and other online stuff like that. When i click run as administrator the command prompt window opens and then quickly closes so i think thats working.

you can't play online. This only works for games that supp offline play.

Make sure it's saved as bat file not txt. Change the extension from txt to bat for example "enable.bat"

Use Sam achievement manager instead. It's not the same as earning it but if you just want the achievement then use it

Make sure steam is offline and you've already downloaded and ran the game once

You need to do the offline rule and make sure it's working by trying to download something then launch ur game. Btw this only works on games that work offline.
