I am a Hindhu, But I always loved Buddhism, because it is so intense & real & straightforward & uncomplicated.
I have read 4 noble truths & 8 noble paths many times so far & conceptually i have understood it, but wanted a tool to practice.
I mostly play games in my iPhone & I searched for Buddha related apps & I saw one interesting app called "BuDhamma"? by Lokesh
Hanumappa. This app helps you practice 8 noble path in a cool way with reminders, reports, tests & graphic rich practice summary.

Thanks for a wonderful presentation. Please note that the essence of the 2nd noble truth is the 3 poisons which are the source of suffering. Ignorance, Greed, and Malice. This is key to the 3rd noble truth, the 3 cures, Knowledge, Compassion, and Acceptance. Only by confronting and overcoming the 3 poisons can one begin to travel the path to enlightenment.

People thinking of achieving accomplishment by knowing the nature of things should acknowledge another fact that knowledge without action in accordance cannot bring liberation. Knowledge cannot act to reverse the order in most cases like result of some disaster for example. It helps to guide at present to change the results for future. The past remains untempered for all the time to come.
The four noble truths and eight fold paths are mere teachings that cause waste of time if we linger with them without a saviour. Seeking for Saviour/Liberator is the best option as all things will be cared by Him for the rest. We need to follow His commandments for assured bliss in future instead of merely listening to the lectures of the helpless and lost guides young or old.

History is understood by the collective nature of human experience. We share what we have not seen, and accept what others experience. How is it that the major schools of religious thought accept Jesus as a teacher who sought to free his followers from suffering through a fulltime commitment to loving and worshiping God, and yet deny the resurrection? There clearly was an historic event that drove his followers to give their lives in the exposition of the resurrection. Jesus himself claimed to be the Messiah. The true effect of Christianity is to bring peace to those who seek it, and yet so many are blinded by seeking truth in their finite experience and meditative ability (admirable as it is to train the mind, training has never unlocked infinity, as no being has infnite time to train along a certain course). Why not trust in the collective, historical reality of a Savior? Perfect love and freedom from suffering comes from forgiveness, not practice. Sin, repentance, forgiveness, communion with God: These are the four true truths. Buddha was a noble man, but he was no Jesus Christ. I mean this in all respect, not to offend, but to enlighten. This is not my truth, it is ours.

I mean no disrespect either but my advice to you would be to learn or read more about what is Buddhism, because it's more than just meditation, it's also about loving every being, being kind and good.
In fact Buddha and Jesus teachings have so many similarities that there is even a theory that Jesus knew Buddhism or became a Buddhist (since Buddha existed 500 years before Jesus).
I'm a westerner so I guess I will always be a Christian or have a part of me that is. However Buddhism in particular and other eastern philosophies or native-americans views of the world for example have always facinated me to the point that I identify more with them. Buddhism in particular makes more sense to me.
One thing that I've thought recently is how a lot of Christians place a lot of focus on the old testament, this is probably more true in America than in Europe where I'm from, but it stikes me as odd since it's called Christianity and so little is talked about Christ. It seems to me that Jesus Christ role in Christianity has been reduced to just being crucified and ressurected. When the most important aspect of Jesus was his teachings while he was alive.

@@CopperBeech777 Why does someone atttempt to convince their friends to go to a certain restaurant? Because they have tasted and seen that it is good! Likewise if a friend is being destroyed by their diet, one seeks to dissuade them from continuing in it.

@@CopperBeech777 there is death, and you and I will definitely face it. Jesus died and rose so that we could too. Plenty of people have been raised from the dead, only God gives life, and only in His Son do we find it. So amazing! Plus, if you haven't met the Holy Spirit, you are misssing out! Much love, Jesus dies for your (and my sins) don't think you can pay your own debts, you (and I) didn't bring a cent into the world 😲. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
