    Vaping gives me really bad headaches and gives me bad anxiety! It also makes me feel very sick and makes my stomach drop so I use it when I need to use the bathroom. Even thinking about it gives me anxiety which makes my stomach turn. I only get buzzed if I hit it after not using it for a while. That's why my favorite time to use it is in the morning right when I wake up because it actually gives me a buzz. But after that, the rest of the day it only gives me a head rush that gives me pounding migraines. It also makes me run out of breath and I often have to take big breaths to regulate my breathing again. I started when I was 15, I'm 19 now and it's always made me feel like this. There's no point in using it, I feel like it controls my life and I just want it to end. Throughout this month I've threw it out 3 times but only ended up buying it again. I'm trying so hard to stop but I just can't :( I really hope this time around I can stop. My longest streak for the past 4 years is 1 month without vaping. Today i"m starting over at day 1. Wish me luck.

      I switched to zyns (nicotine pouches). Yes I know that they are not much better, but at least my lungs are healing after vaping for 5 years. You still get a buzz but it’s not nearly as intense. I also don’t need it right when I wake up I wait about an hour or two before popping one. I feel my nicotine urges going down as I only use one about every two hours for 15 min. My next step is patches to wean completely off. I would recommend as they don’t have nearly as many chemicals but your gum health will be slightly affected though I’ve noticed no changes after two months use. It also costs a lot less money , about $7-15 depending on your use. I started getting bad chest pain so I had to stop vaping. Chest pain is now gone and I feel healthier. Try them out

      People with diagnosed A.D.D. like myself are generally more susceptible to things of an addictive nature. I've chosen not to medicate my A.D.D. since I was 18 (now 32) and during that time smoked for 7 years, vaped for 5 and completed an Engineering Bachelor Degree (to give you an idea of cognitive load). Smoking and vaping can act as a reset button, physical and mental which allows you to focus/settle your mind, but so can other less harmful breathing exercises. In times of heavy stress smoking and vaping heavily would cause my to have physical reactions and not calm me at all. So it's very unreliable and I would not recommend.
      If you're struggling with focus for A.D.D. learn to chunk things down and take frequent small breaks. Also train your brain to read! Read something interesting and your brain will overtime learn to settle itself and focus.

    Maybe less harmful…very disingenuous. Vaping has been around for nearly two decades, at this point. If you compare the confirmed deaths and health problems from Vaping, to the confirmed deaths and health problems from combustible tobacco…yeah, there is no comparison.
    Also, citing nicotine addiction as being harmful; where’s the evidence that nicotine by itself is any more harmful than something like caffeine?
    Hint: there isn’t any. I’m not saying to start using it, but if you’re using combustible tobacco, and you find that you can’t stop, Vaping can be a great tool to help you quit.

    • @scripted44
      @scripted44 Před 2 lety +4

      I vape, and I like to think vaping is much less harmful than smoking. But the point remains legitimate. It's a new technology. We still have no idea about the real long term effects. Remember that we only figured out how bad smoking is after it was a thing for around 6950 years (this is not a joke, and this number may be off by 2000 in either direction) of course these days we have more ways of measuring health and what causes which health issues, but we have to give it at least one lifetime. And even then, there is so many different chemicals in there and they differ depending on company and flavor, and also it evolves. So to exactly tell what about vaping is bad, if it is at all may take much longer than we like to believe. :)

About 3 months ago after vaping for 4 years the pains came back but worse. I switched to the zyns because I’m very addicted to nicotine but I can’t risk to keep smoking stuff. My lungs no longer hurt and my urge to eat foods has come back. I’d recommend if you’re trying to quit. I use one about every two to three hours and don’t have urges in between.
