    As a part-time contractor I have used my tools weekly for the last 8 months and put them through quite a bit and I've had no issue whatsoever they have all worked great. One thing that's nice too is they're not overly expensive like very well name brand tools.. so if for some reason someone stole them or they walked off it wouldn't kill my pocketbook.

    The craftsman tools are great for the money. I love them for project and stuff around the house. Only reason I got into crafts was bc my job has them and we have so many batteries they give them to us so I had about 5 batteries with no craftsman tools so I figured why not. Overall 8 out of 10 for my needs

    I recently switched to Craftsman as well, but decided to go brushless due to the fact that the Craftsman brushed models cannot be repaired. An owner would have to spend roughly $30 for a whole new motor unit. Unlike Craftsman big brother DeWalt that does allow the changing of brushes on theirs.

      Belt clip! The Dewalt belt clips will work however you’ll need to trim a little plastic away from the tool for the clip to fit.
      Not a problem

      I think Milwaukee is a superior tool, just with a superior price tag too. :)

    Would you say this would be good for a carpenter apprentice or more for just home owner? I have the bauer now but I have been looking at combo kits this one and kobalt. Instead of buying piece by piece

    • @Samcraftcom
      @Samcraftcom  Před 4 lety +1

      The limitation for apprentice use would be the battery life with these. You can upgrade to the 4.0 aH batteries but then that will add considerable weight to the package. They are durable in my experience though! I've used them for every project around here and on the homestead since buying them and my only complaint is short battery life with the larger tools like the saws and sander.

      I think you be able to use these tools for about 3 to 5 yrs til you start making better money then I would invest in DeWalt or milwaukee

    I heard the sander is garbage how does it work for you

    • @Samcraftcom
      @Samcraftcom  Před 3 lety

      It works fine -- just as good as my plug in sander. Only downside is it's hard on the batteries -- runtime isn't that long. I'm working on an update video of the tool set after months of use.

      Yes, I would very much! I've used it ever since buying it and have had great experiences from it. I've built many large projects using the tools, too.

    I bought the 4 tool kit Craftsman 20V but the saw has a plastic guard , it feel unsafe , I'm unhappy because I put all my money on this tools and it feel like tools for home not for professional

    • @Samcraftcom
      @Samcraftcom  Před 4 lety +1

      Good information! I would place these tools in the homeowner / DIY group as well and not the professional / contractor group of consumers. I have several detailed videos and tests planned for this tool kit! Thanks

      I would say that a plastic guard is not unsafe but these are prosumer not contractor grade tools, moreover there priced like homeowner tools not contractor tools

    One major drawback to cordless tools, you are roped into an eco-system. I have a bunch of dewalt, so that is what I buy. Good review, but I won't be buying. I just wish Stanley/Black and Decker would make the batteries interchangeable.

    • @Samcraftcom
      @Samcraftcom  Před 3 lety

      That's true, but also a reason I don't go for off-brand tool names. DeWalt is a really good tool ecosystem!
