I was talking to my mom about this storyline, and she didn't remember ANY of it. She didn't remember that Tony and Kristen used to be together. I'm so glad that I found this video so I can prove it to her (and remind her). Seeing how young everyone was back then, I can understand why my mom couldn't remember this.
It "is" Andre, but at the time of the Aremid saga (which was around 1995 or so), the audience was still supposed to think he was Tony DiMera. And that's why he was still being referred to as "Tony DiMera" because his "Tony-impersonation" years was from 1993to 2007. 1995 (Aremid saga) being one of those years.
When he came back in 2002 "Tony" said that Andre survived the quicksand and that he was that one who set John up since they found Andre's diary can't believe viewers didn't catch on to it even on Melaswen when "Tony" said he sentenced him to death and if it wasn't for Jack n Jennifer finding his diary
this destroyed everything between john and kristen and I hated it. john and kristen were so sexy, full of passion for each other and hell they have loved each other. because of this and the fact that kristen had doubts about johns innocence what I can totally understand they broke up. it's not because he loved marlena. for me it makes no sense they put them together again....john and kristen both did everything to be together and then he broke up with her??? I think they did it because eileen wanted to leave the show for a while. when I look at john and marlena there is nothing for me...nothing. they are boring but john and kristen were passion. fire and love. and you can still feel that when they put eileen and drake together. I understand that she wanted to be there for her family more...I really do but damn I miss her and drake and all these amazing actors together....
The writers in order to drag the show and keep their favourites employees in the show wrote stupid storyline. John and Kristen should have been together and Roman and Marlena should have been together.
