Not only is there a wing cap, you can also hold a button to disable the boundaries that keep you locked in 2D sections. I think you accidentally used that button in the spot in Chemical Plant (where you managed to clip past the loop and land in the water)

Imagine Nintendo made their own Sonic Generations with 2D Mario and 3D Mario. That would be so epic

@@SONICDEE by that logic sonic mania would be a ripoff of nsmbds. Both are revival of classic formulas that bring back old elements but add a bunch of new stuff to the formula. Along with having some neat side content.
Bathaniel Nandy There's 2 things you didn't know about this mod. 1. There's a button you can hold down that let's you have 3d movement in 2d stages. 2. There's a press of a button that let's you put on the wing cap. Those 2 things can let you clear certain stages with the help of a channel called Gianluca that tells you how to complete these stages with those two things.
Mario 64 in Sonic Frontiers would be interesting
Seeing this in my subscription feed brings me back. I used to watch Sonic Generations mods a lot with my friends back in grade school.
There was an earlier version of Super Mario Generations where modern Sonic was normal Mario and classic Sonic was a smaller Mario with Donkey Kong Arcade clothes.

2:53 No, you can't get it working in 3D Blast, but any modern game will work fine as it's a library implementation of SM64

@@RingPilled I'd like to disagree, Sonic 3D Blast runs on the Genesis which isn't powerful enough and the game isn't true 3D.
@@PilaCiu and on the Sega Saturn, which has 3D special stages, but you could convert the sm64 model into 2D sprites.
