Devil's advocate here 😅
Everyone loves this series, obviously!
I do too.
But having no budget and no limitations takes away from the actual interior design challenge.
The walls, windows, fireplace & ceiling all got changed to quickly and easily.
You can't always take out a window and install a door, or put a fireplace anywhere (especially if it's in front of the moving door).
Take away the buffer from your ceiling will make your home colder & noisy. (Especially when you have upstairs neighbors)
And usually you'll see pipes and electrical wires.
Take these series to the next step and give the INTERIOR designers actual challenges.
Not the easy way out where they can renovate the entire house... walls, doorways & ceilings.
I was just waiting for one of them to tear down the fireplace wall and make it an open living space, cause that's nearly what they can do every design.
Don't make it too easy on them. Make them inspiring to where other people can see what you can design with what you got.
@@tammv2306 This isn't being a devil's advocate. This is just you saying "cancel this series and make this other series I invented".
@@ouijedanse 🤣 no! I like getting the inspiration of design styles I usually don't think of. I'd just like them to be more realistic and therefore a lot more challenging.
Can't just go knocking down every wall in the imaginary room/house/apartment 😅 too easy. I'd knock down so many walls it would become a mansion where the outdoors really flows in 😁
10:28 Love that Noz pointed this out. Very important in interior design
I feel like Noz is just putting cool items that she likes without thinking if they even fit together 🙈
Yeah it's a weird style
I agree!! She is a real designer?
I love her
@@bessieblankson2340 Yes she is. And I'll invite her to do interior designing of my house.
That’s not really fair to say. It’s an eclectic and untraditional style but it’s definitely deliberate. Somehow it always works. It might not be everyone’s cup of tea but I love that she creates spaces like this.
I really like the minimalism of Erik's design with the coziness of Mandy's. I honestly feel like Noz is ALWAYS all over the place. Her designs just bring me high anxiety! LOL
noz must answer for her crimes
I love her personality but I don't want to live in it. 😆
@RandomJane Exactly😂 everytime she added something, I imagined being in the space and my eye would twitch. Love her personality tho
Facts! Noz's was a lot to look at. i couldnt possibly be able to relax there
Erics is nice looking, but for some reason if it was real life, I wouldn’t want to be in that room/enjoy it. It lacks function and comfort. Or even if I would be there, it’s not the type of room to stay long in, you would leave and go somewhere else more comfortable
PLEASE AD - NEVER STOP CREATING THIS SERIES!! The highlight of my day every time it is posted :)
THIS ^^^^
Please pin this comment
Yeah this!
Mandy’s room is so cohesive and livable , Ericks room doesn’t seem very functional with the furniture and fire place blocking both doors, Nozs room is extremely busy and the door choice seems a bit odd for the space. Love this series
I said the same thing about Erick's room. He put glass doors on two of the walls, then proceeded to block them both 😂
Said perfectly
my issue with his room is lack of comfort.
It seems like he’s making a Florida room
Erick’s would be for a side or sun room not someone’s small living room.
Mandy did such a great job with the room. So many colours that still fit together really well. Noz' room is too loud and intense for me and Erick's room looks way too drained of colour. I get cold feet even looking at the concrete floor without a carpet.
Right? And no cushions on the built in?? So you have to lean against the hard wall?
Was not impressed by any of those designs.
Felt like she was more interested in name-dropping designers than making something that looked good or even comfortable.
Maybe under floor heating on Erick's?
Agree, Eric's room feels like an Apple Store, with everything being purely functional. Noz's room is the opposite extreme where it feels like 7 generations of grandmas left their personal belongings in a store-room. Mandy's is well balanced. It is color-coordinated and cohesive but also has character.
Mandy's was my favorite. She used different textures and colors, but all of it went well together. It wasn't busy or sterile looking and I felt the other two designs were, respectively.
Looks like any background in That 70s show…😒
Agreed! The only thing I'd remove is that checkered fireplace mat
A combo room of Mandy and Erick's designs would be perfect for me. I love Erick's floating fireplace and the window walls. I love Mandy's green texture wallpaper and all the warm inviting textures and finishes.
Exactly, I'd love to see them work as a duo in a video, to watch how their styles mix together and what they would come up with !
Mandy’s was the best. Loved the green and the floral curtain. Noz’s looked like a horrifying clown house.
I couldn't get beyond the wall color.
Noz wallpaper gives me anxiety anytime they show it, it looks suffocating.
Noz's looks like i gave a 10 year old girl an interior decorating game and told her to go wild. Wasnt cohesive at all
16:16 uh uh AD no more
Hideous…
-Lighting-
Me: "Well, let's see what thing out of a nightmare Noz will present us today"
I can't forget that bunch of hands/arms in the dining room.
I knew I had seen that weird interior design style elsewhere!
Indeed! Hands coming out of the walls... And then someone's big dolls all massacred hanging above the table. Felt like a horror show in a gothic church gone satanic.
These shows have just come up on my algorithm and I absolutely love them so I’m binge watching. I know it’s so we can be inspired but sometimes I have a bit of a OMG what is that.
Omg no coziness left after these designs, I wouldn’t select any of them
Noz's designs are always so challenging for me. Clearly she knows what she's doing, but her designs are always incomprehensible to me. The panda marble threw me the most. Eric's, on the other hand, doesn't challenge me, but I question if that can still be called a living room. At this point, I'm definitely getting more Florida room than living room. That's not to say I don't love it, but it felt like he didn't honor the spirit of the room, which was a cozy living room.
No…she does not know what she is doing. She thinks she is being edgy with her pattern mixing-she is not.
The choices that Roz has made are all over the place, Erick is stripping the room where it takes away of practicality. Mandy eats this one up, especially framing the room and the colour choices. This series is great!
This series is just THE best. After watching a few, I'm getting that it juxtaposes a maximalist with a minimalist design, and then adds something traditional-with-a-twist. I also realize that my taste never falls within just one camp. Here, I love Erick's natural materials on the walls and floor; I love Naz's mis-matched marble tables and lighting choices; and I love Mandy's frame for the room and window treatments. Not that I'd put them all together!
Same. Just binged everything last week and can't wait for the future uploads. Their furniture series where two designers make something out of ordinary is also good.
Noz is always doing THE MOST
.... like a woman taking all her Gucci, all her Hermes, all her Prada, all her Chanel, all her jewelry, and throwing them all up in the air then putting everything on as fast as she can. In a dark room.
@@IGuess... LOL
Erik is simply a genius at creating stunning yet minimalist & warm contemporary spaces. Bravo, brilliant job!
Yes and I agree Eric is a genius, turn the whole room around to look outside and opened it up very modern out of the box
What is warm about that space beyond the windows and the fireplace?
The "chairs" look 100% uncomfortable, as does that concrete floor. No pillows, no blankets, very little fabric anywhere, and hardly any options for lighting to cozy things up.
Do I think the style would fly with some people? Yeah; they'll likely seldom sit in the room, but it would be a nice feather in their cap for gaining credit with their style of friends.
Wow I didn’t know how to feel about Mandy’s at first but it tied up so nicely! I was blown away!
Erick truly is the king of doors. I know it's a weird thing to key in on, but every time in one of these videos he changes or adds a door I'm like - yes. YES. I can see myself traversing his spaces perfectly.
I normally don't love minimalism but I love Eriks design, it's so warm and layered it doesn't at all have the boring or sterile feeling I often get from minimalist spaces. Also obsessed with him choosing an art piece that looks like a portrait of himself
No comfortable chairs in the space...
I love this series. I would never put a door there. I would prefer more seating, like a super cozy sectional sofa wrapped in the corner, and painted the walls a dark shade so the green leaves pop. Some sconces for reading light or cool art flanking each side of the window.
@@Antonio-hb8rd Good point.
@@Antonio-hb8rd yeah, to me they don't look cosy at all. Maybe it's just because I live in England and it's winter, but I feel cold just looking at it lol. I feel like a cosy living room should be a destination, not a through-route. I'd put a soft comfy sofa at the far end, have some more deep armchairs, some warm wall lights and built in bookcases.
Exactly. By getting rid of the cosy corner they basically created a den, sitting room or waiting room. Besides if the theoretical garden allowed for the presence of a door it would have been there in the first place. You do not just suddenly realize that a living room needs garded access. Even cavemen knew that.
@@paveladamek3502 I agree - So true!
They are so respectful of each other's designs. They are great together.
Hello beauty how're you doing today, you really looks Gorgeous and can't resist to say Hi, I will appreciate you add me up here.💝🌹
I just love Noz so much - her designs aren’t for me personally, but her personality always brings me joy ❤
Eric's design gives me Tuscany/Riviera holiday home vibes.
Mandy's, framing of the room is a game changer but I'm not loving the fireplace or the room palate.
Noz, is just Noz. Her imagination is just Alice in Wonderland.
I audibly “wow”d when she added the framing. It was beautiful! But yeah still not a fan of the rest of it.
I love this series. This time, I liked Erick's design. But in my opinion I'll choose more comfy sofa.
Mandy always seems to be grounded in reality, but having a little more fun here(probably because she is featured alongside people who tend to be more showhouse-y in trying to show all of their creative ideas, without often being places many would want to live.
My personal taste is generally somewhere between Noz's and Mandy's, but I liked Erick's too. Mandy always puts together practical spaces that feel like you can actually live in them, and Noz designs experiences that are kind of the focal point of the rooms. I definitely find my eye wondering over Noz's room especially, but I'd personally get bored with having everything shout out at me to look at it all the time. The color story is Mandy's was so rich and classic, and I love the wall treatment. Erick's was very monastic and pensive, which is a nice space to have to retreat to when you're working... or brooding.
This series is the best thing AD has ever done on their CZcams. I hope it goes on FOREVER ! --does anyone know if they feature these in their magazine, I think I’m gonna start collecting them
LOVE LOVE LOVE this series! ❤
Noz: "I'm not here to change things arbitrarily just to change them".
Noz 2min earlier: *casually adds 2 feet to the ceiling height of the entire room/floor.* lol
I came here for this comment 😂
I think I actually missed that. Didn’t she originally say she liked the lower ceilings?
I think Erik is the most creative and smartest. Noz's is the most fun, as usual. And Mandy's looks like a Mandy designed it - era 1980s mom's house.
I think every design in this video serves a different purpose. I would enjoy reading my favorite book in Noz’s room, taking a rest with wind blowing in in Erick’s room, and having a family chat in Mandy’s. Loveee this series
I love what Eric has done with the room, it's not busy and the wall gives more natural lightning into the space, adding the two doors is a good idea for me, it invites you to the outside which is full of plants, I can imagine the fresh air entering into the living room, plus the furniture isn't too much, though they all did a good job transforming the room.
Mandy’s colors story is sooo well done. So many colors but everything seems in harmony
A mix of Mandy and Erick's rooms would be my perfect room, I love the elegance and natural feel of Erick's room and the colours and plants in Mandy's 😁🥰❤️
I love this series, and like how you feature designers with such different taste.
as someone who loves to have quirky and unique pieces from different artists, Noz’s really speaks to me the most! sure i might make some slightly different decisions here and there but i love that she’s not afraid to have tons of fun for these videos despite it not necessarily being most people’s taste, while she can obviously tone it down a bit for client work if needed (i’m assuming the images shown during her intro are client work). keep it going girl! 🤩
I'll change the walls to something more neutral, less busy or a lighter blue
I really love this series, I could literally watch it all day.
We can always count on Noz to have the craziest most eclectic design and I love that consistency!
Lol ..totally kooky crazy! :P
Noz is just phenomenal for remembering to mention every artists' name. Thank you!
That's the whole point of her designs: essentially "name dropping" designer furniture
I love that this series is continuing.
Also, tvs aren’t a thing… according to them.
There are TV's and monitors in some of them, but having a TV become the focal point of social areas is what modern is trying to get away from. Also, not everyone watches TV, or even owns one.
My husband and I both have a laptop. Haven't owned a television for many years. Can watch most anything at the time we want to watch it at our laptops and more.
This is the best AD series
Love the series! Eric’s design is my favorite. It is so elegant and calm. I would move in this room in a second 😂. Just add a few big pillows on the build in:)
Erik's design is soooo calming. Definitely my favorite.
This series has really helped me to define and be able to talk about my own design preferences! 10/10
Erick's design is the best for me, i love the fact that he switched the fireplaces and placed the chair where you could enjoy the view out the window the only thing i'll change is the couch, besides the fact that it feels very spartan, i'm also not a big fan of built in furniture. Mandy's design comes in a close second bcos of how all the colors work together while Noz's came off as chaotic w/o a central theme, i'll find it extremely difficult to focus in such a room and it would just raise my anxiety levels.
Always in love with Erick’s work. The visual continuity with the space / nature is the key factor I love his works.
I love Ericks design the most although functionally it would make more sense as an additional lounge space and when you already have a living room
My favorite out of the three designs is Mandy's. Although the overall style is not what I would gravitate towards personally, her space feels really warm, inviting, functional and comfortable. All the pieces tie together in a beautiful earthy palette. There's a lot of bold choices, but none of them seem out of place.
Eric's design is closer to my personal aesthetic, but you can tell that there's a couple impractical aspects about the space, although visually it's very beautiful. Hard finishes and colors he chose complete such a calming and elegant palette. Both sitting areas don't seem comfortable enough, fireplace and furniture are interfering with the walkways and I would pick a different chair maybe with more softness and curves rather than spindly legs.
Noz design is not my preference at all because color palette and accessories don't seem cohesive and visually that wall paper all over is just too heavy and busy.
I think Noz's design here was just a compilation of different designers that have caught her fancy. I didn't feel like any of the elements in the room particularly related to other elements. I was disappointed right off the bat when she chose that wallpaper. I suppose the end result overall could be a quirky vibe for the right person.
I loved Erick's vision. I felt that the look was cohesive and made sense for the way I would want to use the space (although I would have turned the day bed around). I can see myself relaxing forever on that wall bench. The stone table next to the daybed seems a little jarring, though. I think it blocks the space and makes it feel less airy.
I enjoyed watching Mandy's room come together. I liked most of her choices at the beginning but now that the video is over and I'm commenting on each space, I can barely remember it, except that it was very traditional and I hated the material she used for those curtains. The other choices had great design elements and I think if this style as being the closest to my vibe of the three but with the finished result, I just wanted to be in Erick's room more.
But I have to remind myself that my reaction to looking at a picture of these rooms and actually being in them are likely to be different.
Loving Mandy's design. Also, because everybody else tends to just tear down the room and build a different one. That's no challenge! ;-)
My hone is traditional but I love Erick’s! Brilliant. Love this series.
Mandy's was my favourite! She used actual curtains and blinds! And the colours are relaxing and it looks comfy!😃
Adored all of the designs- can’t and shan’t pick a favorite! Although… I secretly just want them to mix it up for the heck of it someday. Noz designs something straightforward and utilitarian, Mandy designs something super post modern, and Erick designs something ultra colorful. Just throw us all off haha. Maybe for April 1st :)
I secretly want them to mix up the designers PERIOD. Mandy can stay...
Mandy and Noz are definitely not afraid to use ombre, bold and mixed colors! I think those combinations are geared to certain personalities. So, if I want calm, soothing or a relaxing living room, I would go with Erick! Enjoyed the video!
I always appreciate Noz's vision, even though I rarely prefer her final result. However, it's crazy that she intentionally mismatches the direction of the floorboards above and below.
Mandy's space is the most livable, by far!
Thank you Erick for being on show!!!
I love Erick García's open space and sense of comfort both visual and physical; in this project and the others too. He understands flow in every project and I agree with his embodied sensitivity.
I would choose the space designed by Eric. Minimalistic, gives a Japanese vibe. Has all the functions I’m expecting from it.
@Jj K Yea and he put all those doors in but blocked the entrances with the seating and fireplace. Mandy's is the most functional of the three.
The interplay between designers - especially when Noz is involved - is the most wonderful thing. I love how supportive these creators all are.
I totally get and love the whimsical style and artistry Noz uses in her cozy room design. Since I have a lifetime in the antiques world its so cool how she uses the bones of southern Americana ( the colors, the Dutch door, the basic furniture etc) and upgrades it with contemporary artwork like the fireplace, the stone ottomans and imaginative chandelier. Noz’ design is happy, inviting and gregarious with a free flowing expression. I find this so delightful.
Noz always starts logically and then mid way, majestically blows it away.
I don't know how to put this but Noz was just promoting her favorite pieces but putting them together in a room it really didn't go well .. at least not my style
I loved how Mandy approached the design especially the color theme
Erick's design did not give me the living area vibe
I personally love this series .. keep them going !!
Noz knows somebody at AD....OBVIOUSLY.
Well said. Agree.
so they all took out that beautiful original mantle.. okay.
noz's ideas are always chaotic, just anxiety-inducing. the rug and the couch were the two things i liked
Mandys is a Dream!! When I saw those checker board patterns I was scared at first but she really pulled every piece together to make this beautiful living space
This show is so much fun. I save these vlogs for my Friday evening entertainment😊
Absolutely love this series!! Erick’s designs are so me, but love love love the color scheme the girls went for!
I love Mandy’s design! A bohemian maximalist dream!!!💕
It's very obvious when you have designers that are more about putting objects in a room more than the actual thinking about architecture and allowing the objects to change that up as well.
None of these designs are for me, but I LOVE the enthusiasm and passion the designers have and the expressiveness of their vision. I really enjoy watching the process and how everyone discusses things at the end.
Mandy's design is my winner. Her design is my dream living room. I love the curtains, the functional balcony with coffee table. Eric's concept of open doors that we can see more outside is good. Noz's wall design and color is too "noisy" for me.
I love Mandy's design. it reminds me of the house I grew up in but maybe just a more luxurious version of it. The colours are warm and comforting and I would just feel so at home in that space.
It's impressive how all of them completely destroyed the room
this makes me really depressed. when you can't even count on architectural digest. this has been the case for a long time now...but still...
My favorite series is back! Love the individualism expressed in each room !
Noz has some interesting eclectic pieces, but too busy for me. Eric’s fireplace was a hit, but the rest was too sterile and uncomfortable for my taste. Mandy’s color scheme and textures worked, but none of the designs wowed me. However, I did love watching how these three designers put their vision of the room together. Keep these vignettes coming……helps to get the creative juices flowing.
My favorite show on all of CZcams!!!! This is a HIT
I love Eric's design
i really liked the original fireplace ☹️
Mandy's design is just my kind ❤️
I love Mandy’s , looks warm and cozy also Erik’s but with more colours and stuff in it
Love this series about interiors for spaces. Having said that, tastes of people are really different. What I liked most about the space was that it was white and bright and the natural light that the original space gave. None of them worked with that, they all totally transformed it. I would have definitely kept it white and clean.
Mandy’s design was 1st. Amazing work. Everything seemed more cozy and tasteful.
Erick’s design was 2nd. Amazing design as well, a drape would have made it perfect and cozy.
Noz’s design was 3rd. Great work.
AD, don’t ever stop this series! 😡❤❤
I love this series!!! I’d hire all of your designers. I love that Noz showcases artists
Absolutely love this series! such a fun way to see the designer's different styles
@samarkhan1757. Ur saying absolutely right. Really beautiful designs as like you.
I love Erick's design. I'd prefer a more comfortable couch and maybe have a TV system drop down from the ceiling.
Erick's design was quite lovely 😍
Green walls was by far my favorite. So cozy. Blue walls was a bit too whimsical for my taste. And the minimalist was just too cold for me. I could not see myself being physically comfortable in the room - but the windows were amazing!
Erick's version of the fireplace is such a game changer! But I would rather choose an L-shaped built-in lounging area to maximize comfort and enclose the space to make the room cozier. At first Mandy's looked too dense but her color scheme still looked more tied together than that of Noz. Both of their rooms look warmer than Erick's but I'd still prefer his.
Okay I love how weird and colorful Noz's space looked and I couldn't put my finger on the exact energy they're bringing but at 16:58 it finally hit me: this living room is giving Hieronymus Bosch painting. It's cluttered and off balance but still so very interesting and really encourages conversation. It's maximalist art.
Love Mandy's design... Her drapes are to die for!!!
I love Mandy's the most. It's fun but not overwhelming. Noz's is pretty cool, especially how eclectic her furniture and fireplace choices are. Not very sure about her use of that wallpaper pattern though. I feel like it makes the room look smaller.
I love Mandy's, love the green and red combo. it somehow feels like painting..
HUGE fan of noz’s enthusiasm and ability to shout out an artist in like, EVERY category. Her designs? Not quite as much 🥴
Love Eric’s design; just a wonderful indoor/outdoor experience. Noz’s design makes me dizzy and uncomfortable and Mandy’s is too predictable. The most interesting part of this series is reading viewers’ comments; everyone sees design so differently!
It is really cool but I definitely don't think the furniture looks comfortable at all.
Funnily enough I thought Erick’s designs were more predictable in a way. The neutral post modern, semi organic style is pretty trendy online on Instagram etc. Regardless, I love all three designs, they are super cool in their own way. :)
Am shocked you're saying Mandy's perfect pattern and color mixing was predictable but you're a fan of Mr."introducing some polished concrete". His stuff is ssooooo boring and it looks physically uncomfortable to be in his room
i love that noz always credits the artist of the pieces she’s working with
LOVE Mandy's. It's bold but natural, cozy. This is a dream living room I like individual elements of Noz's space. How cute is that chandelier? I am not feeling Erick's at all. To me it just feels cold and empty.
i like noz she’s so fun and her designs push me out of the comfort zone! Mandy does the same just more subtle - like the patterned curtains? So crazyyyy I would have neverrrrrr but looks great
The minimalistic room is so calm, warm and gorgeous, whereas the other 2 rooms are disjointed nightmares - I’d have an emotional breakdown in those other two rooms 😂😂😂
Wow I really love the openness, bright, softness of Eric's design.
